Narrator's POV

"-yah! Vivian Tuan! are you ready yet?!" Yumi shouted

"calm yourself, I'm coming I'm coming" Vi said coming out of her bedroom "how long have you guys been waiting?"

"just an hour" Ayana said not looking up from the game she was playing "do we have to leave unnie's apartment? I'm almost done with this level-hey! Yumi ane that was so uncalled for!"

"let's go" Yumi said taking out the plug of the console

"rawr" Lihua said "someone's catty"

"Yumi-ah, we won't be late to the showcase. Don't worry" Sori said

"I'm sorry, I'm just a little anxious to see Soonyoung" Yumi said "we haven't seen the boys in literally 2 months and now it's their debut showcase!"

"just because we haven't seen them doesn't mean anything's different" XiaoMei reassured, but she looked just as anxious as Yumi did "the boys will do fine, they're practiced so hard for this"

"ooh looks like Vivi unnie's trying to impress someone" Minji giggled nudging Lihua

"it's not that I want to impress someone, I want to look good" Vi said wearing a bracelet

"you want to look good...for Jihoon oppa" Ayana stretched putting the controller back near the console "I need to pee"

"go pee and then we'll leave" Sori advised getting her bag. Vi hurriedly finished up some last minute preparations of the lunch boxes she cooked for the boys, getting help from her members to carry them.

Just like Yumi said, it has been about 2 months since Epitome and Seventeen seen each other and hung out. During those 2 months, Seventeen filmed their debut project - which Epitome followed and watched with enjoyment. On the other hand, Epitome was back to their own group practices, preparing for their debut as well. Today was May 26th, Seventeen's debut showcase, and Epitome planned to attend, not only to see their good friends but to also support them as well. As soon as Ayana finished her business, the girls took an uber to the showcase venue, being allowed backstage because they were 'VIP'

"surprise!" Minji yelled opening the door to their dressing room, taking the 13 boys by shock.

"wah! Minji-ah!" S.Coups greeted her first, giving her a fatherly brotherly smile "girls, you made it!"

"ah, girls come in" Junghan ushered them in before speaking to the camera "these girls are our good friends, we've trained with them since the beginning of Seventeen"

"they're also debuting soon" Jun mentioned

"yeorobun, go look them up! Epitome!" Hoshi advertised as the girls bowed to the camera

"wah wah wah Viv noona has food" Dino said excitedly taking one of the lunch boxes that had his name

"komawo noona" Seungkwan thanked her as he got his lunch box

"ah Seungkwan-ah, Seokmin-ah, to yours I added some medicine that will help your throat" Vi smiled

"did you make all this?" Joshua asked, Vi nodded as Ayana handed out chopsticks

"wow, must have taken a while, noona. Thanks" Vernon said and she chuckled, reassuring that it wasn't a big deal.

It was a shame that the cameras were there, their interactions were cautious and restrained, making it the tiniest bit awkward between them. When the cameras were called back to assume positions for the showcase, the 20 of them relaxed

"finally" Hoshi said going across the room to give Yumi a hug

"are you boys nervous?" Sori asked sparking up the conversation

"they are so nervous" Lihua said and looked at Jun "gege, you're sweating already"

"I am?" Jun said as she handed him a napkin "xiexie meimei"

"so how does it feel, Mr. Producer?" Vi asked having her own conversation with Woozi

He let out a nervous smile "thanks for the food Viv, it really means a lot to all of us"

"I figured you boys haven't been eating as much" she said sympathetically. Vi frowned, putting a hand on his arm "yah, Lee Jihoon. You'll do absolutely fine"

"how do you know that?" he asked. Man, he was really nervous. Anyone could tell from a mile away.

"because" Vi smiled "you're always perfect when you perform on stage"

"you're exaggerating" Woozi said

"ani, I'm being serious" she said "whenever I see you sing or dance, I always get chills. I've seen you perform so many times, but I never get tired of watching you."

"chincha?" he asked doubting her words

Vi nodded "your stage presence is amazing, I know you'll do great. I look up to you Jihoon-ah, I wouldn't know how to truly enjoy being on stage if it wasn't for you"

Woozi grinned, relaxing a bit "komawo Viv. It helps, like a lot"

"Seventeen, standby"

"I'll be cheering you on Woozi-ssi" Vi smiled giving him a tight hug. Before pulling away, she took the initiative to give him a kiss on the cheek, taking him - well, everyone - by surprise "good luck"

With that said, Epitome left their dressing room, leaving a flustered Woozi and a rejoicing Seventeen. Wonwoo smirked, resting his arm on Woozi's shoulder "she's literally screaming for you to man up and ask her out"

"oh my God Vivi!" Yumi squealed grabbing her arm

"what made you do that?" Sori proudly asked

"molla, I-it-I just-it just happened!" Vi stuttered

"uri Vivi's got game" XiaoMei said nudging her shoulder

"let's hope Mark oppa doesn't find out about this" Ayana chuckled

"Sori unnie! don't tell oppa what I just did!" Vi begged their leader. Sori chuckled and nodded as they reached their seats.

"-it was so good!" Minji said to Dino afterwards.

"you guys were so cool" Lihua complimented them as they joined back at the practice room

"when's your debut stage? We'll definitely watch it" Ayana said

"2 days, May 28" Vernon told her

"will you make food for us again noona?" Dino asked

"yah, that's a lot of work" S.Coups scolded the maknae "thanks again Viv"

"ani it's no problem" Vi reassured "I'm hungry"

"nado" The8 agreed

"I'll pay today" S.Coups said receiving cheers from the younger kids

"what are we eating?" Joshua asked

"pizza, I want pizza" Yumi said

"since my jagi wants pizza, I want pizza" Hoshi said lovingly

"seriously, you guys are so gross I'm ready to flip on yo asses" Vi threatened jokingly

"go, do it, fight me" Yumi said

"you sound exactly like Jihoon hyung" Mingyu said as Vi turned to face him. He was a bit quiet, she noticed, was it because of the kiss earlier?

"why so quiet Jihoon-ah?" Hoshi tested "is it because Viv kissed you earlier?"

" you" Woozi cursed at him

"we want pizza too" the maknaes said

"pizza it is" S.Coups coughed getting out his phone to contact the pizza place

"ani, hyung does for sure" Seungkwan whispered to Lihua

"but oppa didn't tell you directly?" Lihua asked "unnie told us that she liked oppa a few months ago"

"and noona didn't change her feelings?" Seungkwan said

"unnie's not like that, and after years of knowing him? She still likes him" Lihua said

"besides, did you see what she was wearing?" Ayana joined in "unnie doesn't dress that cute for nothing"

"so now what?" Seungkwan asked

"we need to leave them alone don't we?" Lihua said and Ayana nodded

"how are we supposed to do that?" Seungkwan said

"leave it up to the dream team, kids" Wonwoo said coming up to them "the '96 line has this covered"

"you're sorta down 2 people from the dream team, oppa" Ayana said motioning towards Hoshi and Yumi

"please get a room!" Lihua shouted at the couple

"Soonyoung-ah, Yumi-ah, come here" Jun said ushering them over

"do we have to-coming" Hoshi whined, stopping himself at Jun's stare

"what's happening?" Yumi asked

"operation Vihoon is happening today" Wonwoo said

"we should do operation Xei.Coups while we're at it, shouldn't we?" Yumi said

"eh?" Seungkwan said

"Seungcheol oppa likes Xei unnie, don't you guys know?" Lihua said

"ani, hyung hasn't mentioned noona at all" Wonwoo shook his head

"so operation Vihoon and Xei.Coups" Yumi said "one by one, we should all leave. Let's include Xei unnie and Seungcheol oppa, then leave them after we leave Vihoon"

"you're so smart, nae jagi" Hoshi cooed putting an arm around her waist

"can we please just do this already?" Seungkwan gagged

"game" Ayana clapped her hands, turning around to link her arms with Vernon, dragging him towards the door "Hansol-ah, you're coming with me to buy tampons"

"bwoh?" he said shocked "this late? ah wae?"

"sh just follow me" Ayana hissed

"she probably should have told him first instead of dragging him out like that" Lihua chuckled before going over to The8 and XiaoMei "we're all leaving the practice room one by one, it's to give jiejie and gege some alone time"

"where are we going?" The8 asked

"just to the lobby, I assume" XiaoMei nodded

"yah, eodika?" Vi asked looking up at the mass of members that started to leave

"I forgot something at our dorm" Minji said

"we're making sure she doesn't get bothered" Mingyu said putting his arm around Dino

"we're buying some drinks" Junghan said ushering Joshua and DK along with him

"they want ice cream" Sori said motioning to Jun and Seungkwan

"we're uh...going on a walk" Hoshi said pulling Yumi out with him

Vi stared as everyone started to leave, a bit confused as it was only herself and Woozi left - who was too busy listening to music and dozing off to notice. She checked her phone, which just received a text from Yumi

'use this chance to figure things out with him. hwaiting hwaiting Vivi! good luck :)'

Vi scoffed and stood up from her position on the floor, slowly walking towards Woozi who was by the couch. Clearing , she sat next to him and poked his cheek, startling him a bit "bwoyah, where did everyone go?"

"they have...errands" Vi said sitting cross-legged

Woozi yawned, scolding her as he stretched his arms out "yah, a lady doesn't sit cross-legged in a dress"

"since when was I a lady?" she grumbled uncrossing them. They sat in awkward silence for a bit, Vi breaking it after a few minutes "gwenchana? you seem a bit off after..yeah"

"I-I just wasn't expecting you to do that" Woozi blushed "mian"

"ani, it's my fault. I should have probably given you a heads up" she laughed awkwardly

"yeah..yeah" he said quietly

Silence again.

"so...that weather huh" Woozi said

Vi scoffed, "weather? seriously? Lee Jihoon, you could not have made this any more awkward"

"well what else was I supposed to say?" he complained

"what's wrong with us?" Vi sighed resting her head against her palm "we've been friends for years! How could something as small as a cheek kiss suddenly change things around?"

"maybe because it wasn't as small as you thought it was" Woozi said quietly

"bwoh?" she asked

"nothing, forget I said anything" Woozi dismissed looking away

Vi stood up and started walking around the practice room "you know, when we were 15 I had a crush on you"

He looked up "chincha?"

"mhm" she nodded "but it stopped after a couple months. In a way, I was glad. I didn't wanna ruin our friendship-I still don't wanna ruin our friendship"

"what do you mean?" he asked, a bit confused

"I'm gonna tell you a secret Jihoon-ah" Vi smiled going back to the couch

"okay" he said

"I like someone" Vi said

"oh, who is it?" Woozi asked obliviously bummed

"he's an idol, a really good dancer, an amazing singer and producer. I guess I've liked him for a while now, but I just realized it" Vi said "he looks really cute, but I know he's actually not"

"he sounds nice" he nodded

"he's my best friend" Vi said chuckling as he still didn't get it "oh my God, Jihoon-ah, it's you, you idiot"

"me?" Woozi asked, his eyes going round

"oh" she nodded "tch, you have no idea how scared I was when I realized I actually did like you"

"why would you be scared?" he frowned

"because! we're best friends! Once you cross the friendship line, you can't go back, and I for one don't want our friendship to go down the drain" Vi said "I would rather have us act like we usually do and me keeping it in the dark than you knowing and us feeling awkward, but looks like we're too late for that now"

"it's a good thing I'm not the only one who feels that way" Woozi said, finally man-ing up as he grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him in a kiss - an actual kiss.

Woozi pulled away, leaving Vi flushed in pink "w-where did that come from?"

"just sorta happened" he smirked "I like you too, best friend"

"I really hope they finally tell each other their feelings" Sori said as the majority of them sat around the lobby

"I know, they couldn't make it any more obvious" Junghan agreed

"pizza's here!" S.Coups shouted "bwoyah, why's everyone out here?"

"we left Viv noona and Jihoon hyung to talk" DK answered

"ah" S.Coups said placing the pizza down in the middle of the floor, The8 getting the first piece. XiaoMei caught herself staring at S.Coups, quickly looking away as he turned his head in her direction.

"jiejie, didn't you leave something upstairs in one of the practice rooms?" Lihua asked as she chewed the pizza

"I did?" XiaoMei asked

"that's right, you left one of your hoodies in one of the practice rooms" Jun said "get it before you forget"

"arasso" she said standing up

"hyung, why don't you go with Xei jie?" The8 said "she's going to one of the practice rooms, she left her hoodie up there"

"make sure noona doesn't get lost" Dino agreed

"lost? yah Lee Chan-"

"okay" S.Coups said casually "Xei-ah, let's go"

"w-what? okay" she said quietly following him to the staircase. He was being so casual that it bothered her. By the time she retrieved her hoodie, XiaoMei was beyond irritated

"are you okay?" he asked confused

"no I'm not okay!" she growled "how could you confess that you like me and then completely ignore that fact and act like it never happened?"

S.Coups looked shocked "I didn't want to make you feel awkward Xei-ah, I'm sorry if you felt that way"

"I hate you" she muttered whipping her hoodie at him "I can't stop thinking about you and it's annoying!"

"you can't stop thinking about me?" S.Coups smirked proudly

She glared at him "I seriously hate you Choi Seungcheol"

"are you sure about that?" he asked grabbing her hand, kissing the back of it "I still like you Xei-ah"

"will you let me respond this time?" she asked allowing him to pull her closer to him

"I think I already know your answer though" he chuckled enclosing her in a hug
