BECAUSE THIS MAY BE ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE TAEKOOK INTERACTIONS!

I woke up super early this morning for some unknown reason so I did what I always did, got online. Out of sheer boredom I logged onto YouTube and BAM, there was a new Tae video. It was so unlike him to post videos outside of his regular day and time, it must’ve been very important. 

“Pet Elephants,” I read aloud as I clicked on the 3 minute video. “Annyeong-haseyo,” Taehyung greeted happily before turning to point his camera at his boyfriend. Jung Kook grinned and threw up his boyfriend’s ‘V’ sign. “Annyeong,” he said and I saw a ring hugging his left ring finger. I slammed my fingers down on the spacebar to pause the video. 

“Is that what I think it is?” I mumbled squinting at the video. I crawled off my bed onto my floor where I dug out a box from underneath it. I pulled out my old trusty magnifying glass before climbing back into my cozy bed. Upon further inspection, I saw that Kookie was definitely wearing the ring Tae had got him. “AWWWWWWWWWWWW,” I squealed happily, “He liked it.”

It warmed my heart to see him wearing it, even when he was hanging out at home.

With my curiosity satisfied I un-paused the video. I noted how adorable they looked. Jung Kook was reclining on the couch, his y legs displayed in all their glory thanks to his baggy basketball shorts. Taehyung was sitting on the floor beside his boyfriend, leaning back to be closer to the younger. “So I have something really neat to show you and I couldn’t wait until Monday to post my video,” Taehyung explained through his big box smile, his eyes turning into crescent moons from his excitement. 

I leaned in closer, this was going to be good; I could tell. 

“Yah, take the camera,” Tae ordered as he held the camera out to his boyfriend, my view focused on the couch cushion while I waited. Jung Kook sighed and grabbed the camera. He silently turned the camera around to face the elder. Tae had his hands all over Kookie’s beautiful right thigh. Oh to be Tae’s hands right now…or better yet…Kookie’s thigh. 

“Have you met Jung Kookie’s pet elephant?” I heard Taehyung’s deep voice ask as he pinched the soft skin between two random parallel moles on Jung Kook’s thigh. “What?” I asked in utter confusion. “Jung Kook are you zooming in?” Taehyung asked off screen. Jung Kook sighed again, “Yes, hyung.” He was obviously done with his boyfriend and so was I. 

“See if you have two moles across like this,” he said pointing at the dark chocolate chips on Kookie’s thigh, “You can pinch the skin between them to make an elephant trunk and the moles become eyes. See?” After his explanation he demonstrated again and I finally saw what he saw.

I chuckled and shook my head at him, “What sort of drugs are you on to even come up with that?” I questioned. My bae was a special child.

He pinched his boyfriend’s skin again and made cute elephant sounds. Jung Kook focused on his boyfriend’s smiling face and it made me smile too. It was kind of endearing to see such a small trick bring a grown man so much joy. It just showed he was still a child at heart and I never wanted him to lose that innocence. It made him who he was.

“Focus on my arm now,” the elder ordered as he rolled up his billowy right sleeve. There on his slightly tanned bicep sat a pair of spaced out 'elephant eyes'. He pinched the skin on his arm and made more elephants noises, wiggling his arm about to make his ‘trunk’ move. “It’s not as pretty as Kookie’s, but I have a pet elephant too,” he said, his smile almost stretching off his face, “Taelephant.”

I couldn’t help but groan and his lame pun. He was so lame and it was so adorable.

Jung Kook turned the camera on himself and shook his head. “This is what happens when you’re running on 3 hours of sleep at the end of finals week,” he spoke his first words, “He has officially lost his mind.” “Give me my camera back,” Taehyung playfully snapped as he snatched his camera back. I watched as he stood up and sat down on his boyfriend’s tummy. 

He cutely pouted into the camera, “I’m not crazy,” he whined before asking me, “You understand why this was important right?” I cooed again and quickly nodded, “Everything you do is important you little weirdo,” I conceded.

“Well that’s all I have for you tonight,” Tae said propping his elbow on Jung Kook’s chest, “Take lots of pics of your pet elephants and post them on Instagram using #taelephant so I can see them.” I chuckled as the hashtag flashed at the bottom on the screen in bright red letters. “Bye-bye,” he said as they both waved. “Why’d you have to call me crazy?” I heard Tae complain before the video ended.

I quickly began to examine my body trying to see if I had any moles. After 10 minutes of searching I finally found a pair on the inside of my left thigh. I snatched my phone off the charger and took a pic of my pet elephant. After editing in elephant features and choosing a cool filter I uploaded the pic on Instagram taking care to tag Tae and Kookie and include his cute little hashtag.

Feeling accomplished, I closed laptop and snuggled back into my covers. “Taelephant,” I couldn’t help but laugh out as I fell back asleep.
