It was late by the time Sunggyu returned to the apartment.  He had intended to finish the work quickly but things had gotten out of hand.  He spared no time to rush back, hoping that he was not too late.  He checked his watch before stepping out of the car.  There was still time.

When Dongwoo heard the front door open, he quickly paused the game he was playing and stood up.  "You're back!" he exclaimed as if relieved to see Sunggyu.  "How did it go?"

"Fine," Sunggyu replied, his eyes glancing about the place.  "Where is he?"

"Sulking in his room."

Woohyun lay in bed when he heard a knock at his door.  "Leave me alone, Dongwoo.  I'm sleeping!" he shouted back and pulled the covers over his head.

There was a moment of silence and then he heard the door open.  He frowned, annoyed that Dongwoo was bothering him again.  He sighed in frustration and pulled the covers back down.

"I told you I'm-" he stopped mid sentence when he saw Sunggyu standing by his bed.  His eyes lit up with joy for a brief moment before an angry pout appeared on his face.  "I'm sleeping," he said and pulled the covers over his head.

Sunggyu sighed, seeing the boy's childish ways.  He sat down on the bed beside the boy.  "Woohyun," he called softly.  "Are you still mad at me?"

Woohyun feigned sleep and remained unresponsive under the covers.

"I'm sorry," said Sunggyu.

Silence.

"We can go if you like," Sunggyu added.  "To see the fireworks."

Woohyun immediately pulled the covers down and beamed a bright smile.  "Really?"

Woohyun could hardly contain his excitement as he got out of the car.  He frowned when he noticed that Sunggyu was slow to get out of the driver's seat.  He quickly rushed over and dragged the older man along by the arm.

The moment they stepped inside the entrance, Woohyun's eyes lit up when a stall caught his attention.  "I want a fairy floss!" he demanded and pulled Sunggyu over to the stall.

A young man was spinning the cotton candy onto a stick when he saw Woohyun approaching eagerly.  He smiled at Woohyun.  "Welcome," he greeted the pair.  "How many would you like?"

"Two please," Woohyun ordered without a second thought.

"I don't eat sweet stuff," Sunggyu told him.

"Then I'll have both," Woohyun announced with a grin.

When they passed by the Ferris wheel, Woohyun nagged Sunggyu until the older man agreed to go on a ride.  They sat beside each other in one of the pods as the wheel began to rotate.  The wheel came to a halt when they were up on the highest point.

"This is our first date," Woohyun declared with a smile.

Sunggyu looked at the boy.  He wondered what the boss would think if he knew what they were doing.

His thoughts were interrupted as the fireworks began to light up the night sky with colourful explosions.  Seeing how happy Woohyun was as he watched in awe at the spectacular display, brought a smile to Sunggyu's face.

The wheel started to move again as the fireworks continued.  Woohyun glanced at Sunggyu when he felt the older man's head resting against his shoulder.

"Sunggyu, are you sleeping already?" Woohyun asked until he saw blood seeping through Sunggyu's shirt.
