It was early morning when the bell chimed as the front door of the small cafe opened.  The owner of the cafe looked up from the counter and smiled when he saw the man stepping in the door.

"Good morning," greeted the owner.  "The usual?"

The older man nodded and took a seat at the counter.  He had come here so often that he longer no needed to place his order.  The owner already knew what he wanted.

Moments later, the owner brought him his usual cup of coffee.  "I won't be long," said the owner before disappearing into the back of the cafe.

The man sat drinking his coffee whilst waiting patiently. 

It did not take long for the owner to emerge from the back with three takeaway breakfast sets ready to go.  "Sorry for the wait," the owner apologised.  "Here you go."

The man paid the owner and headed out the door.

The cafe was only a short walk away from the apartment.  He was always the first one to wake up so he was always the one to go get breakfast.  He did not mind it since sleep was not something he could enjoy.  It had been many years.  He could not recall the last time he had a good night's sleep.

He arrived back at the apartment a short time later and found the figure still sleeping on the sofa in the living room.  He let out a sigh as he looked at the figure sleeping without a care in the world.  He placed the food on the kitchen table before heading back out to the living room.  He walked over to the sleeping figure on the sofa and kicked him in the leg to wake him up.

"Get up!" he ordered to the figure.

Awoke by the pain in his leg, the sleeping figure opened his eyes wearily.

"Is he still sleeping?" the older man asked and walked away before the sleepy figure could respond.

The man opened the door to his room and saw the figure on his bed.  "Hey, get up if you want breakfast," he called out.

There was no movement from the figure.  He approached the bed and pulled back the covers, about to force the boy awake but his intentions came to a sudden halt when he saw the boy's flushed face.

"Woohyun," his voice softened as he gently shook the boy's shoulder and discovered that the boy was sweating.

The boy slowly opened his glassy eyes, looking dazed and out of it as if someone had out all his strength.  He managed a weak smile when he saw the man's face before closing his eyes again.

The man was so used to seeing the boy so energetic that when he saw the boy in such a weakened state it caused him to panic.  He placed a hand over the boy's forehead and almost flinched.

"He's burning up!"

"Hey, your breakfast is getting c-" the young man at the bedroom door stopped mid sentence when he saw the worried man beside the boy.  "What's wrong?"

"He has a high fever," said the man, looking accusingly at the young man.  "Why?" 

The young man gulped down the lump in his throat.  "He said he wanted to wait for you outside last night," replied the young man, looking slightly fearful of the older man's angry eyes.  "But you were later than usual."

The older man frowned at the thought of the boy waiting outside for him in the freezing cold.

"Should we take him to the hospital?" the young man asked.

The older man glared at him before he took out his phone.

He placed the briefcase onto the passenger seat of the luxury car before climbing into the driver's seat.  Just as he started the engine, he heard his phone ring.  He glanced at the name of the caller and smirked before answering the call.

"I need a favour," came the voice on the other line.

"What?  No hello, how are you?" he teased.  "Is that any way to ask for a favour?"

"I'll see you when you get here."

The call ended before he could utter another word.  "Hmpf!  Who does he think he is?  Does he think I would come at his beckoning?"
