Dongwoo was startled while Myungsoo frowned in confusion.

"What are you talking about, Sunggyu?"  Myungsoo asked, clearly angered by the accusation.

Sunggyu kept his gun pointed ahead.  "You overheard us talking in that room and informed the boss.  That's why he sent them here.  Isn't that right, Dongwoo?"

Dongwoo's eyes widened in surprise.  "I don't know what you're talking about, Sunggyu.  Besides, if you two were the only ones in the room, then don't you think the suspicious one should be him?" he asked, glancing at Myungsoo.

"Myungsoo would never betray me," Sunggyu declared sternly.

Dongwoo's eyes narrowed.  There was no point putting up with the act any longer.  "The boss suspects that you intentionally let the boy go and he wants him dead," he said as he glanced at Woohyun, standing beside Sunggyu.

In the blink of an eye, Dongwoo pulled out a gun concealed under his jacket and aimed it at the boy.  A shot rang out.  No one moved.  A moment later, Dongwoo dropped the gun in his hand and clutched his bleeding chest.  Before he even had a chance to fire that shot, Sunggyu's bullet had struck him first.

"You missed his head, Sunggyu," Myungsoo mocked.  "Are you getting old and rusty?"

Sunggyu kept his gun aimed at Dongwoo.  He could have easily ended Dongwoo in one shot but he he chose not to.  "Get out of my sight before I change my mind," he warned.

"The boss isn't going to let it go that easily," said Dongwoo as he staggered away.

Moments later, they were approached by several cars.  A group of men armed with swords got out and surrounded them.  They were outnumbered.

Sungyeol sighed in despair.  "What now?"

Sungjong stepped forward.  "Hand him over!" he demanded.

Woohyun was surprised when he recognised Sungjong's face from the time they went to see the fireworks.  Thinking that perhaps Sungjong was here to kill him like the others, Woohyun grabbed onto Sunggyu's arm, afraid that the older man would hand him over. 

Sunggyu glanced at the boy beside him.  He  did not want to hand Woohyun over to anyone.  He wanted to keep the boy by his side but the truth of the matter was that they were his people after all, here to rescue him.  He also knew that the one standing in their way was him.

"They're your father's people," Sunggyu told the boy.  "They're here to save you."  He gave Woohyun an encouraging smile.  "Your father isn't so heartless after all."

Woohyun looked at Sunggyu, surprised by the older man's words.  After a moment, Woohyun pouted stubbornly.  "I don't care.  I want to be with you."

"Young master," Sungjong called out.  "Your father's in the hospital.  He wishes to see you.  Will you not go to visit him?"

"I won't go!" Woohyun announced.  "When we had no money and nowhere to go, where was he?  When my mother had to sell herself to raise me, where was he?  When she was on her death bed and wanted to see him, he never came."  He paused a moment after releasing all his pent-up frustrations.  "I have no father."

There was a moment of silence until Sungjong smiled.  "I'm glad to hear that," he said.  "You know, the old man did order us to find you.  He wanted to bring you back to the family.  Perhaps trying for redemption with his remaining days."  The smile quickly faded from Sungjong's face as he narrowed his eyes at Woohyun.  "But as long as you're alive, you will be a threat to Master Hoya."

Sunggyu frowned when he heard Sungjong's words and quickly pulled Woohyun to stand behind him.

Sungjong held out the sword in his hand.  "Kill them!" he ordered.  "Spare no one!"
