"- Moooooooooooom !

The sound of heavy footsteps in the corridors was followed by the door opening on a panicked mother

- What happened ? Did you hurt yourself ?

I was taking a dramatic tone

- Worse ! I Can't find my make up !

She paused and looked at me dumbfounded before trying to kill me

- Yaa ! Are you seriously making me run from the kitchen for that ? Are you crazy or do you have a death wish ?

I dodged her before arguing back

- You don't know what it is to be a kid nowadays, you need to be perfect every day otherwise it's the end

She sighted and threw me her shoe who hit me right on the spot

- Try to be perfect when I will disfigure you ! Hurry now and come eat before going to school"

I was massaging my tight who was still feeling the pain and crowded to the bathroom to search once again for my survival kit to find it where it has always been. I am really not a morning person. After finishing my hair I went to the kitchen where my mom was reading the newspaper with a coffee cup like usual.

Morning in the week are always full of energy because it was the only time we were at home at the same time. We fight, patch things up, cries and laughed together during this one hour. I've never known my dad, it as always been my mom and I (plus all her crazy boyfriends). My mom had to raise me as a single mother and for this she always worked hard as a waitress but I know that she always dreamed to become a rock star. She never say it to me but I know I am the reason she had to give up on her dream so I try my best to help her at home by doing all the chores. The only thing is that I don't want to eat the morning and she always trick me too with the only thing I cannot resist : corn. I could eat it every day at every meal but I try to restrain myself and my mom knows it because since she disapprove my dieting she made them every morning. I stopped arguing about that with her since a long time, there is no winning with Park Hyori. I started to eat diligently and as usual helped my mom doing her crossword even if I at it. Give me a sudoku and I will show you my real talent.

After connecting all my brain cells to find a word, I noticed a pink letter in the mail so I took it. I never do that but I didn't expect my mother to jump out of her chair to get it. Once again my reflex helped me and I moved before even noticing

"What's going on, why are you reacting like that ?

She looked at me with her angry look and ordered me to gave it back. Usually I don't fight back but this time I was really curious so I just glanced to the envelope to see my name written on it but not the one I use now, but the one I had when I was born and that nobody use "Jenny Park". I looked at my mother who now seemed embarrassed and understood right away who it was

- It's my father isn't ?"

She didn't answer but I knew I was right. I didn't think twice and took my bag to leave before saying words I would regret later. The only things I knew about this man was the few things I got from her so only that he left before I was born. I always thought that I was better without this kind of person in my life but the fact that he wrote me a letter didn't gave my mother the right to hide it from me. I walked to go as far away as I could from the home but when I noticed that I took the wrong way to go to school I stopped to think. I looked at the envelope, I was curious but at the same time afraid, why would my mother hid this from me ? Maybe I didn't wanted to know. After all my life until now as been great and what could he tell after seventeen years. I looked at it once again and put it in my backpack. It was too much emotions for one morning, I needed a chocolate right now and I knew exactly where I could find my favorite.

I did my raiding on the bread like every once in a while (okay every day, but they only bake five of this) and was heading class when someone dragged me in one of the empty room. I was going to punch with one of the chocobread in my hand before seeing my kidnapper

"Yaa Choi Seunghyun I was going to kill you

He looked at my hand and chuckled

- With that ? Sorry I'm not allergic to chocolate

I sighted before noticing he was still grabbing my arm. When he saw where I looked he let go of me

- I'm sorry, I just saw you and wanted to talk to you in private

- You could have juste asked me or texted me something

- Nah it's not as fun as seeing you're panicked face

I punched him in the arm

- You will pay for this

He smirked

- So you are not avoiding me anymore

I looked at him surprised

- When did I do that ?

- This week, I didn't saw you once

I laughed

- You know you are not the center of the worlds, I have other friends

He looked at me and pouted. It was always so funny when he pretend to be mad because it's so cute and he had the opposite image in this school

- So you replaced me this easily

- Aigoo, our Seunghyun is sad. Don't worry you are still my number one guy friend but now I have the lunch booked for my girls

- Who's that ? Sandara ?

- Yes with Chaerin and the new girl Minzy

He looked at me dumbfounded

- Lee Chaerin a.k.a  CL the baddest female is your friend?

I gave him a smile

- You more than anyone should know that reputation in this school is like a fairytale out of people's imagination. She is a good girl, I always knew it but now she isn't hiding it or at least less that she used to do

He sat on one of the desks and crossed arms

- You are so underrated, since you're an alien you probably get along with everyone

I gave him an aegyo

- Thanks I will take it as a compliment

He laughed

- Jokes aside if you are with them at lunch and with Kris after school when do we see each other ?

- You can come with us you know

- If I do that Jiyong and Youngbae won't stop teasing me for hanging out with girls. They already think I have a secret girlfriend

- Then just tell them, I don't care. As for talking it's either early in the morning or we could go drink something out after school

He looked at me with a false surprised expression

- Are you asking me on a date ?

I punched him again
