“There is one thing I need from you though.” She said.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Honesty…if I’m going to be honest with you, then you need to be honest with me, okay?” She told me. I can be honest. 

“Sure.” I said.

“Then let’s do this, we get to ask each other questions about anything and we have to answer honestly no matter what, okay?” She said.

“Okay.” I answered.

“I’ll go first. Do you-” Before she could finish asking the question, she received a phone call. She excused herself and I kept thinking about what she was going to ask me. Do I what? Whoever called her had really bad timing. I was becoming anxious because I really wanted to know what Jessica was going to ask me. Gosh this really . She finally came back.

“Who was it?” I asked.

“My friend was just making sure I was going to the party.” She said. I noticed she wasn’t sitting back down.

“Are we leaving?” I asked.

“We should get going so we can get ready for the party. We can ask questions later.” She said. I was frustrated knowing I would have to wait, but I didn’t let it show.

“Okay, sure.” I said standing up. We threw our trash away and began walking out of the mall. When we got outside there were a few clouds, but it wasn’t raining. Kids would probably still go trick or treating even if it was raining. We got in the car and were on our way home. It didn’t take long for us to get home.

Jessica gave me my things and told me to get ready. We both went to our rooms and began getting dressed. As I was putting on the dress I realized it was a bit short for my taste and I knew I would feel uncomfortable. Hopefully it would be dark so no one would notice. I don’t want a ert staring up my dress. Great, the party hasn’t even started and I was already second guessing it. I put on some make up and since its Halloween I put on dark eyeliner.

Even though I was going to wear a mask my eyes were still visible, so I put more attention on the eye makeup and I put on some rosy lipstick. When I was done I looked at myself in the mirror and laughed a bit. 'I got all fixed up for a party where people will probably not even notice me…don’t think like that Krystal. This is your night to have some fun even if its just by yourself,' I told myself out loud.

I opened the door to my room and knocked on Jessica’s door. I heard her say come in, so I opened it. When I looked up at her I was speechless. I know she’s my sister, but she looked hot. I couldn’t stop staring at her.

“What?” She asked me.

“N-Nothing.” I stuttered like an idiot.

“Then close your mouth haha.” She said.

“Wow, you look really good.” I said.

“Thanks, you do too.” She said with a smile. She motioned for me to come closer and I did. She began fixing a few things like my hair and my dress. Seeing Jessica smile made me happy. My failed friendship with Taeyeon still had me down, but things with Jessica and I were going really well. I couldn’t help but smile. I gave Jessica a hug and she hugged me back. Then I began thinking, how different would it have been if our parents didn’t separate? Or if they hadn’t separated us?

“Are you meeting someone there?” I asked letting go.

“No, why?” She asked.

“Since you made yourself all pretty, I thought maybe it was to impress someone.” I said.

“Nope, I’m just going to have fun tonight.” She said. It was around 8 pm when we decided to leave for the party. We had taken extra clothes just in case we had to change out of our costumes. When we arrived, there was already a lot of people there. We got out of the car and walked inside. People already began to stare at us. They were probably staring at Jessica since she looked stunningly beautiful. 

Before I knew it, I had lost Jessica in the crowd. I knew we would end up going our separate ways anyway, so I made my way to where the alcohol was. There were a few guys who offered me a drink, but I knew better than to take a drink from someone. You never know if someone might have slipped a roofie in it.

I finally made it to where all the alcohol was and I looked around to make sure Jessica wasn’t in sight. She would probably scold me if she caught me drinking. I’ve never had alcohol before, so I had no idea what anything was or what it was going to taste like. Then something caught my eye. They were in little small cups and there were different colors. I picked one up and it looked like jello. Maybe they were snacks. I thought might as well try it. I don’t know what it is, but it sure tastes good.

“Hey.” Someone said from behind. I turned around to see who it was. They were covering their face from the nose down with their cape. I had no idea who it was. I ate another one of those jello things before I spoke.

“Who are you?” I asked.

“It’s me, L.” He said removing the cape from his face. He was dressed as a vampire.

“Oh, hey. How did you know who I was?” I asked.

“I had a feeling you would be at this party.” He said. 

“Oh, okay.” I said awkwardly. Well that’s not creepy.

“I didn’t know you drank.” He said.

“I don’t.” I said.

“You do realize you’re taking jello shots, right?” He said.

“Of course, duh.” I said trying to play it off. Now I know what these are. I stopped grabbing the jello. I didn’t want to get too carried away with these.

“You look really pretty.” He said.

“Thank you. You don’t look bad yourself.” I said and we both laughed. He was sweet and I couldn’t deny he was cute.

“Do you want to dance?” He asked me.

“Umm, sure.” I said. We walked out into what looked like the living room and began to dance. I felt good, I think it was the alcohol from the jello shots that were kicking in. I couldn’t help but notice that my surroundings looked familiar, but I didn’t know why. It was kind of dark, but there were a few lights on. Enough for me to see.

I was actually having fun with L. It was a bit crowded, but I didn’t mind. While L and I were dancing, I got a bit close to him because someone kept bumping into me from the back. I think he got the wrong idea because he suddenly went in for a kiss. I was able to move fast enough before he kissed me.

“Sorry, I just thought-” I cut him off before he could finish.

“Uh, I need some fresh air.” I said before leaving. Instead of going outside I ended up taking like 4 more jello shots. I didn’t want to bump into him because it would just be awkward, so I went upstairs. As I was walking up stairs, people were making out and also in the hallway. I thought it would be quieter if I went into a room. I opened the first door I saw and I regretted it immediately. Let’s just say I should’ve knocked first. This time I did just that before opening the door and no one was inside. 

When I the lights in the room I finally realized who’s house this was. It was Taeyeon’s. I was in bit of a shock. Does Jessica know this is Taeyeon’s house? I thought I shouldn’t be in here, but curiosity got the best of me. I began snooping around. I walked over to her desk and opened one of the drawers. There were picture. I took them all out and I sat down. I began to look through them. They were a bunch of pictures of Taeyeon and Jessica.

“I knew it.” I blurred out to myself. They were friends. They both looked really happy. There were a lot pictures of just the two of them. There were so many emotions I was feeling at once. Why did they hide their friendship from me? I know Taeyeon told me they didn’t end on good terms because of her, but Jessica kept denying they were friends. Why? Then I heard someone bump into the door and I got startled. I quickly put the pictures back and began to panic.

I was thinking of where to hide. I thought of the bathroom, but they would easily find me there. So I went into the closet. Thank god I fit. I left a bit of a crack open to see who it was. The door opened and I recognized who it was by the costume. It was Jessica. She was pulling someone into the room. The other person was wearing all black. The person in all black looked tipsy because when they walked in they didn’t have great balance. I looked away since I didn’t want to be seen and I heard the door lock.

They started to talk, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying. It was hard to hear from inside the closet. I took a peek and I saw them kissing. Was I about see my sister have with that person? Oh God NO!!! I looked away because it felt wrong and I didn’t want to see what was about to happen. Even though I was able to fit in the closet, it wasn’t very comfortable. I tried to move a little without making any sound, but it didn’t go as planned. I ended up knocking something over.

“Who’s there?” It sounded like Jessica who said it. My sister is going to think I’m a creep or something. I thought maybe if I didn’t say anything they wouldn’t think I’m in here. Of course I was wrong. The sliding door from the closer was slid open and I was too embarrassed to look up.

“Krystal?” Jessica said. That’s when I looked up at them. I then noticed the mask the person was wearing. It was the same mask Taeyeon had in her closet when I was here. That’s when it hit me. I was speechless, all I could do was stare at Taeyeon.

“What are you doing here?” Jessica asked. I then switched my gaze to Jessica.

“So this is what you’ve both been hiding.” I finally spoke.

“What?” Jessica said.

“I’m not an idiot. I know that’s Taeyeon.” I raised my voice in anger.

“Look, I can explain.” Jessica said.

“No thanks, all you’re going to do is lie to me.” I said. I thought Taeyeon would at least have the decency to say something, but she didn’t. I think she was too drunk to realize what was going on.

I took off my mask and threw it at Jessica. I ran to the door. I bumped into a few people, but I was too mad to care. Before leaving the party I grabbed a full bottle of alcohol. I didn’t care if someone saw me drinking. I’m 15, so what. I don’t even know what I’m drinking, but I thought if I drank until I got drunk then I wont feel anything. That’s what I wanted, to not feel anything.

The two people I cared about lied to me. Just when I thought things would get better, they always come crashing down. I knew they were hiding something, but I didn’t think it was this. I wanted to know the truth so bad, it just ended up blowing up in my face. Whatever I was drinking tasted like crap and I felt like throwing up, but I just kept dirking. I didn’t even know where I was walking to. I started to get dizzy and the last thing I remember before passing out was someone calling my name. Everything went black after that.

(End of Krystal’s POV)

“Krystal? Hey, wake up.” Someone called her. The person nudged her a bit so she could wake up.

“Ugh.” She groggily said.

“How do you feel?” They asked.

“I feel like my head is going to explode.” She said grabbing her head. 

“Yeah, that’s what happens when you drink too much.” They said. When she fully opened her eyes and noticed she wasn’t in her bed, she looked up at the person.

“L?” She said confused.

“Good afternoon.” He said with a smile.

“What am I doing here? It’s the afternoon? How long have I been out? What happened?” She asked freaking out.

“Wow, slow down with the questions. Okay, so you passed out and I brought you here,  yes it’s the afternoon, you’ve been passed out for a few hours, and that’s what happened.” He said answering her questions.

"Nothing else happened right?" She asked him. Since she didn't remember anything else after passing out, she was just making sure she didn’t do anything reckless after that.

"Nope." He said.

"*Sigh* Good." She said relieved.

"What were you doing out by yourself?" L asked.

"I saw...I just needed some air." She caught herself before she said anything else. Remembering what she saw made her angry again.

"But why were you drinking?" He asked.

"Can you stop with all the questions?!" Krystal said raising her voice.

"Okay, sorry. I just want to make sure you're okay." He said.

"No, I'm sorry. I just didn't have a good night." She said.

"Was it because of me?" He said.

"No, it's something else. Let's just forget about what happened yesterday, okay?" Krystal said. There was an awkward pause and then Krystal's phone began to ring. She picked it up and the caller ID said Jessica. She didn’t answer. There was quite a few missed calls from her.

"Aren't you going to answer?" L asked.

"It's no one important...Well I should get going, thank you for helping me." She said.

"Do you want me to take you home?" He offered. Krystal took his offer and he took her home. She was hoping Jessica wasn't going to be there. She didn't want to deal with her. L dropped her off and she walked to the doorstep, but she didn’t open the door. She took a few deep breaths to prepare herself before opening the door. As she walked in she saw Jessica waiting for her. She was standing a few steps away from the door.

"Where have you been?" Jessica asked in both an angry and worried tone.

"I'm sure you don't care." Krystal said. She decided she was going to act cold towards Jessica. Krystal wasn't sure how long she was going to hold a grudge against her, but she knew she wasn't going to forgive Jessica that easily.

"Krystal don't say that, you know I care about you." Jessica said.

"Just leave me alone." Krystal said.

"Just let me explain, please." Jessica tried reasoning with her.

"I really don't want to hear it. I don't believe anything that comes out of your mouth." Krystal said walking past her.

"Krystal, just listen to me." She grabbed her by the arm.

"Don't you get it?! I don't care what you do. If you're worried your secret will get out, don’t, because I wont tell anyone. Just leave me alone." Krystal told her before walking up to her room. Jessica felt frustrated because Krystal wouldn't listen to her. Jessica knew that things wouldn't be the same anymore. Their sister relationship was back to zero and she didn’t know how long it would take for Krystal to forgive her for not telling her the truth.

Hello my beautiful readers. I hope you guys are having a great new year so far and as always I apologize for taking so long to update, but I tired really hard and here it is.
