Hey you guys!! I'm sorry I didn't upload this sooner I've just had a lot to do recently :(((( Hopefully you guys enjoy this chapter, it's a bit longer than the previous ones! You guys are awesome! I didn't think my mediocre story would get this kind of response so without further ado....... I present you Chapter 12! ENJOY!! XD

Chapter 12:

Mark was in disbelief as he sat at the hotel bar drinking his sorrows away. He questioned why he decided to find that man in the first place as the alcohol was beginning to set in his body. Maybe it was the desperate need to be loved unconditionally like his parents did, before their deaths of course. He continued to drink some more as his mind began to wander. He knew that he had the love and support of his grandmother but for some reason, that wasn’t enough. When he found out that he technically wasn’t an orphan anymore, something inside him changed. He couldn’t exactly figure out what he felt as he wasn’t sad nor was he happy. It felt somewhere along the lines of…. relief? But that relief quickly turned into distress as his father shut him out, literally.

He continued to drink even more when suddenly he heard someone call him. He turned to face the person, but there was nobody there. Confused, he swivelled back around but then he heard his name again. It sounded very familiar but he was too drunk to focus on it. He then felt a tap on the shoulder. Hair follicles tickled his neck as he was turned away from the person tapping him. He attempted to turn around almost instantly but he began to stumble off the stool.

“Mark! You’ve got to be careful…. You haven’t changed a bit!” The person giggled as they helped Mark sit upright. The voice sent him into a whirlwind as he figured out exactly who it was.

“Su…. Suzy?” He questioned as he began to squint his eyes attempting to get a better view of her.

“Glad you remembered.” She continued to giggle as she slapped his shoulder playfully.

“How could I forget you?” He laughed as he pulled her in to hug her. He missed her sweet strawberry scent as he held on to her.

“What brings you back here? I thought you vowed never to come back here because…you know.” She questioned as her tone lost its playful nature. She began to remember the tragedies that had happened to Mark which drove him away. Although she missed him dearly, he had been her first love after all, she knew that it was what he needed hence why she was confused as to what brought him back.

“It’s a long story!” he stated as he was reminded of the incident that had occurred earlier.

“You can tell me, Mark, you know that right?” she reminded him as she involuntarily held his hand with their fingers intertwined. Mark wanted to respond but he was completely distracted by Suzy’s gesture. He couldn’t help but notice that it felt different this time, and he couldn’t blame the alcohol that buzzed inside him. Although they didn’t officially break up, they had a mental understanding that it was pretty much over when he left
