Chapter 5: The aftermath

Chapter 5:
The kiss had ended almost as quickly as it had started. The two boys stood there staring at each other with absolute shock written all over their faces. Jinyoung was just as surprised as Mark was and couldn’t help but feel extremely embarrassed. Yes he had liked Mark for quite some time now but he didn’t want to risk losing the only friend he had at this point in time but he had blown it. Blown it because he had let his emotions get the better of him.
It felt like they had been looking at each other for a lifetime before they heard the sound of the elevator as the doors opened. Jinyoung was brought back to reality and there was nothing else left for him to do but make a run for it as soon as the elevator door opened.
Mark just stood there frozen trying to register what had happened. He put his hands on his lips as feeling completely shocked. Jinyoung had kissed him. He didn’t know how to feel about it. When he walked into his apartment, his mind had been completely consumed. He was jolted back to reality when his grandmother began to speak to him.
“Mark! How was your first day dear!” she exclaimed. 'Yes Mark how was your first day?' Mark silently questioned himself.
“It was alright, a bit slow but I’ll get used to it I suppose,” he explained as he was taking off his shoes.
“Ah that’s good! Did you make any friends? Did Jinyoung help you out?” she asked cheerily. Jinyoung. Hearing his name out loud caused him to remember what happened in the elevator. He unintentionally put his fingers on his lips as he remembered.
“Not really and Jinyoung did help me Grandma,” he replied. With that he had exited the living room not forgetting to greet his grandfather who ignored him as expected. One of these days he would have to talk to his grandfather as the te
