Chapter 15:

Mark returned to his seat and found Suzy grinning from ear to ear. ‘Why is she so happy all of a sudden?’ he thought as he sat down. Though she was unusually giddy the whole day, she seemed particularly cheerful this time. He began to squint his eyes at her as he observed her.

“He sounds so adorable over the phone, I see why you like him. Do you have pictures?” she began to say all at once before he had a chance to question her first. Mark began to laugh as he could sense her excited tone. Although she had been vocally accepting of his relationship with Jinyoung, it felt refreshing that she was genuinely happy for him and it things were no longer awkward between them.

“Woah, slow down! When did you speak to him?” he asked as he had been meaning to contact him, especially after the array of emotional text messages. Also, the fact that Jinyoung had been calling him nonstop that day worried him slightly too and having Suzy pick up the phone may have given him the wrong message.

“Just now, when you went to the bathroom. He told me to tell you he called. So, do you have pictures or not?” she asked insistently. Mark felt obliged to give in to her request, especially since she was batting her puppy dog eyes at him almost pleading him to do so.

“I can’t believe he would just lie to me like that!” was the first thing Jackson heard Jinyoung say as he opened the door of his apartment. He had been informed very briefly by Jinyoung what had just happened, but to see him so worked up about it made Jackson see just how much Jinyoung cared about Mark.

“Well hello to you too, Jinyoung.” He said whilst closing the door.

“Sorry, hey Jackson. I’m just so annoyed right now. Why would he message me the night before saying that he loves me then be with his not so ex-girlfriend? They’re probably on a date right now, reminiscing about the old times. I bet he’s forgotten all about me. It was probably just a phase for him, you know being with me. He’s playing with my emotions!” He said all at once as he went through a whirlwind of emotions in the space of ten seconds. Jackson had been used to Jinyoung’s complaining this past week, he seemed to be overly emotional today. ‘Mark needs to seriously make it up to Jinyoung now’ he silently thought

“Honestly Jinyoung, I don’t think it’s like that with him and that girl. He probably just bumped into her. Just hear him out before you do anything drastic!” he informed Jinyoung whilst making him a cup of coffee.
