Chapter 6:

Jinyoung was unsure on how to respond to him. What exactly was he going to say? ‘I’m sorry I kissed you, I’ve wanted to kiss you for ages but I didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable and ruin our friendship so I refrained from doing so but I couldn’t control myself, I’m sorry’ wasn’t exactly going to cut it was it.

“There’s not much to say Mark, what happened happened I’m sorry okay. I need to close up.” Jinyoung had said knowing that there was no point in getting into another argument, their friendship was practically over. He attempted to walk away to close up the café when Mark grabbed his arm and halted his movement.

“What happened happened? Is that all it was to you? Something that just happened?” Mark felt dumbfounded at the boy’s response. He still held on to his arm, but not too tightly as he knew how fragile Jinyoung was and how easily he bruised.

 “Why did you kiss me?” there was no other way Mark could put it other than asking him directly. He urgently needed to know why Jinyoung had taken the initiative to kiss him.

Jinyoung’s mind went totally blank. How on Earth was he going to answer that? ‘Because I find you ridiculously hot and I like you.’ he silently thought to himself as he battled with his thoughts on what to say to him. Mark’s eyes had suddenly widened. Jinyoung was confused for a mere second before he realised he had said that out loud. He mentally slapped himself whilst he shrug Mark’s arm off him and continued to try and close up the café.

“You… You like… You like me?” Mark whispered. Of all the possibilities as to why Jinyoung had kissed him, liking him didn’t even cross his mind. Suddenly he was having flashbacks of the couple of months he and Jinyoung had spent together and suddenly it was all making sense.
