You fixed the collar of the shirt Luhan bought you yesterday and sighed.

I hope i don’t get fired on the first day of work…

I barely have any work experience to prove i can work for such a big company…Luhan and i have already quit working at Kyungsoo’s cafe…

*Remembering quitting a few days ago*

“NOOOOOO! My Little Min-Ah! How could you leave my cafe?!” Kyungsoo cried.

“I’m so Kyungsoo…i’m sure you’ve got plenty of workers already…” You winced.

“And what about you, young man?” Kyungsoo frowned.

“Me?” Luhan asked, pointing at himself.

“Yes, you. Don’t tell me you’ve quit after only working for one day? There are girls lining up to work here just because we have a new flower boy at our cafe…” Kyungsoo pleaded.

“Sorry, Kyungsoo-sshi….” You and Luhan bowed.

“NO! Don’t go! I’ll give you a pay rise! Double time! Triple time!” Kyungsoo cried.

Luhan shook his head. 

Giving up, Kyungsoo gave you and Luhan a big hug.

“I hope everything works out well at your new job, and don’t forgot to visit me from time to time” Kyunsoo said.

“You’re up already?” Luhan asked, leaning against your bedroom door.

“Yea” you said looking down at your work clothes. They’re so expensive that they look even better than the best clothes i have in my closet….

I haven’t stared at myself in the mirror for so long before…

You glanced at your reflection and into the eyes of the girl on the other side. She looked so sophisticated, beautiful, charismatic and seemed have everything under control. The exact opposite of me. I look like a completely different person…

You spun around instantly when you heard Luhan chuckling behind you.

“Who’s the narcissist now” Luhan laughed.

For the first time you saw him dressed in formal business attire. His hair was combed perfectly, you swore for a split second that you wanted to run your fingers through those soft locks. Luhan shined in his dark tailored suit and perfect polished leather shoes. He smiled and extended his arm.

“Shall we go?” He batted his eyes at you.

Frozen, you didn’t know how to respond. 

“Why-why are you dressed like that?” You asked. 

“I’ve also decided to return to the position of being his personal assistant. Well i’m working part time of course, just like you. So we can go work together” Luhan smiled.

You’re heart skipped a beat and your palms began to sweat. 

“Wh-why doesn’t he have a full-time secretary or a permanent personal assistant” You asked. 

Why am i always stuttering and so sensitive around him? He’s making me look crazy.

“He’s one mysterious man, he doesn’t like it when somebody knows too much about him and tends to like doing everything himself.” Luhan explained.

 

Striding towards you, he grabbed your hand and walked out of the apartment smiling. 

Watching him smile made you smile without any hesitation. Why do you make me so happy? I’m always smiling like an idiot around you. 

“Ladies first” Luhan said, opening the other side of the car for you.

“Thanks…but i have arms you know” you said.

“Doesn’t hurt opening the door for you. Your just like your father” He grinned.

“Like my father? I guess i’m meeting him today…” You thought, staring into space.

“Are you not putting on your seatbelt on purpose, so i can do it for you?” Luhan teased, reaching over to strap the seatbelt over you. 

Your heart started to beat uncontrollably and you held your breath as he leaned close to strap it on. 

He’s smells so nice…it’s intoxicating…argh! What am i? A et?! 

You avoided his eye contact for the whole ride.

You placed your hand over your heart. Someone call the doctor, i’ve got serious problems and i need help. 

But even your imagination was playing with you. You imagined Luhan as a doctor asking “Min-Ah~ What’s wrong~”.

Burying your face in your hand, you groaned.

 

“You okay Min-Ah? Don’t worry you won’t be interacting with strangers much because you’ll be stuck in a room with me, working” He winked.

“Luhan-sshi” several workers bowed in respect as we walked into the enormous building.

“Don’t be nervous” Luhan said, patting your shoulder.

Your stomach was doing sumersaults and you felt like cringing and running away because everyone was staring at you.

“New employee?” A man ran over to Luhan. 

You noticed a few more men walking over to Luhan.

Wait…why do they look so familiar? 

“Chen?” You said.

The man widened his eyes and hid behind Luhan.

“Are you the guy….at the park? Last time you did some kind of tarot card reading didn’t you?” You asked, chasing him.

You and Chen continued to run circles around Luhan, chasing each other.

 

You stopped to look at the other four men standing a metre away from you.

“You’re the guy who spilt coke all over me right?” You pointed at Xiumin.

“And you’re the guy was drawing in the tent….Kris right?”

“And you’re….that creepy tarot card reading Lay” You frowned.

 

“…looks like we got caught Luhan” Tao laughed.

“It was a last minute plan anyway” Chen frowned.

You looked at Luhan and demanded an answer. 

“This is really confusing? Why are all of you working here? And how do you know Luhan?” You asked.

“Haha! WE should be asking you that” Lay smiled, showing his dimples.

“We’re part of Luhan’s pack, we’re called EXO-M and well….what happened last time-“ Kris said.

Luhan shook his head furiously at Kris.

“Well…it was nothing” Kris sighed as he watched Luhan steer you in another direction.

“Just a coincidence” Luhan smiled nervously.

 

“Exo-M huh?” You smiled. “It’s got a nice ring to it….but it sounds like some kind of womaniser club..”.

“Womaniser club? I’m not a womaniser!” Luhan frowned.

“Are you sure?” You laughed as you followed Luhan into the elevator.

“Because i can totally imagine you as a womaniser-“ You teased.

 

Luhan drove you into the corner of the elevator and leaned his body incredibly close to yours.

You wrapped your fingers on hand rails at the back of the elevator and looked at your feet, your heart racing at an incredible speed.

“L-Luhan??” You said, your back pressed against the elevator walls.

“I’m not a womaniser” Luhan said, softly brushing a stray lock of hair behind your ear.

“You don’t believe me?” Luhan whispered in his husky voice, his breath hot against your neck. 

“L-luhan” you attempted to speak but it came out as a small whisper.

 

*Ding*

“Oops…it’s pretty hot in here isn’t here…” You looked past Luhan’s shoulder to see Chen fanning himself and trying his best to suppress his giggles.

“Let’s catch the next elevator boys” Kris smirked.

Luhan turned around and glared at Kris, who smiled back. 

 

*Ding*

The elevator door closed again. 

Sighing, Luhan leaned against the opposite side of the elevator and ran his fingers through his hair.

Why is my heart beating so fast around him…i can’t possibly like him…no that’s absurd. 

But he’s sending so many mixed signals….why are you doing to me Luhan?

You stared at the elevator floors, evading his strong gaze as your cheeks refused to cool down. 

“It’s hot in here isn’t it?” you sighed. “I’m playing with fire”

“This is Min-Ah and from today she’ll be working alongside me as your assistant Mr. Kim” Luhan said as we entered the CEO’s room.

“Did you enjoy the time you taken off” The man asked, his back facing us in the chair.

“Yes, thank you.” Luhan said politely.

“Min-Ah is it?” The man spun around in his chair to look at us for the first time.

You looked at the middle-aged man whose hair had a few strands of grey. His eyes were warm yet cold. A smile that was friendly yet fake. A truly mysterious man. That’s my father?

 

“It’s been a long time Min-Ah” Mr. Kim said.

You stared back at him, not knowing what to say.

“You’ve grown so much” 

And you were never there to see….

“You resemble your mother”

That beautiful woman you indirectly killed…leaving us like that…

“I know this might seem-“ Mr. Kim said approaching you.

“Nice to meet you Mr. Kim, i am ecstatic to be working for such a successful man that left his family, chasing his dreams and fulfilling his role as a leader. Truly inspiration. I’ll be working very hard from this day on, please take care of me like if you ever did…” You said shaking his hand and smiling so fakely that it looked a bit too real to believe.

 

Coward you muttered as you walked out of the office and into the bathrooms. Leaving Luhan in an awkward silence with your father. 

“She’s just like her mother….acting like she has no emotions at all when they are actually hurt and shaken…” Mr. Kim said.

“Of course….she actually stood up to him…that was really unexpected…any sane person would cry or yell profanities…” Luhan thought.

“If there is anything you need feel free to call me and Min-Ah, Mr. Kim” Luhan said, bowing and exiting the room.

Washing your face with cold water in the bathroom repeatedly, you sighed. 

I should have kicked him in the nuts…no that wouldn’t have done anything…that piece of sh*t…how could he live such a good life without feeling sorry for my mother…does he even know that she passed away…

 

Wiping your face with a towel you thought, I’m going to stay in his sight and linger around like some kind of disease, find out everything about him and make sure he feels guilty for the rest of his life…the thought of treating my mother like that will haunt him until his death.

“She’s really protective of her loved ones as well…both Min-Ah and her mother have good hearts…and i shattered them…” Luhan heard Mr. Kim sigh as he walked out of the CEO’s office. 

 

“It must of been hard on Min-Ah” Luhan thought as he watched you walk out of the bathroom.

“You okay?” Luhan asked, concerned.

“Yea, i’m fine. I’ve been living without him for nearly all my life…there’s no need to pity me. I’ve had too many people pity me.” You sighed.

“Don’t bottle everything up, it’s ok to express how you feel once in a while. Don’t carry all these burdens by yourself Min-Ah” Luhan replied, patting you softly on your head.

“I’ll try” You said, with a slight smile.

“Right now…when I’m standing right beside you…when i see you…all my burdens disappear. I know i like you a bit…but i don’t want to. I don’t want to fall into an unrequinted love again like i did with Kai. So please…stop being so kind and making me waver…”

And i have no Wi-Fi either so i'm like creeping around my relative's houses pretending to do homework where i'm actually writing fanfic :P
