La vie en rose.

It was Jongin's turn to spin the bottle again. He grinned devilishly as his gaze landed on an annoyed (slightly tipsy) Sehun.

After going through all the gifts and receiving hugs and kisses from every single kid in that orphanage, Soojung’s wish was finally fulfilled. Kyungsoo asked the adorable overexcited kids to wish everyone goodnight and go to sleep before bringing some bottles of alcohol with a small smile on his round face.

Jongdae turned the music on and ushered Jinri toward an empty space next to the coffee table. The younger girl giggled in delight while Jongdae swung her from side to side with a wide grin. Soojung shook her head at the sight, whispering something to Sehun who hissed something back with a frown.

They were all drinking happily while shouting ‘Gun-bae!’ from time to time. Jongin however was staring intensely at the crown pendant Kyungsoo got for him. It was kind of silly how he was making such a big deal out of nothing. His thoughts were racing. Why would Kyungsoo buy him a crown pendant? Was the crown a symbol for something? Was there a message behind that gift? Probably not. But the tanned male couldn’t help but let his imagination wander.

“Truth or dare?” The tanned male questioned with a small smirk blooming on his face.

“Truth.”

“Would you rather go on a date with Huang Zitao or…” Jongin trailed, a full intimidating smirk appearing on his flushed face.

“Don’t you dare say it Kkamjong!” Sehun threatened with a scowl on display.

“Would you rather go on a date with Huang Zitao or Justin Bieber?” Kyungsoo snorted while the remaining three burst out laughing.

“ you!” A wasted Jinri fell hard on her from the couch, making everyone snicker at her clumsiness. She kept muttering things under her breath, her lips pursing into a pout because she wasn’t allowed to play with them.

“Tao or Bieber? C’mon we don’t have all night!” Jongin slurred.

“Bieber.” They all gasped in unison. Jongdae raised a brow, clearly baffled by the unexpected answer.

“Really hun-ah? I thought you were in love—I mean I thought you liked Tao better?” Sehun rolled his eyes at the ridiculous exaggeration he was receiving from his elders.

“He said date not marry. I’ll date Justin Bieber for a while and after that, me and Tao we’ll find each other and get married.” Sehun said dreamily. Jongin and Jinri stared at him in awe while Jongdae and Soojung simply cringed at the sight.

“Okay. I see. Umm…whose turn is it now to spin the bottle?” Kyungsoo asked; wide eyes still glued to Sehun’s smiley face.

They played a couple more rounds before Soojung had to drag an over dramatic drunk Jinri out, who suddenly started confessing her undying love to Jongin who did nothing but stare at her in horror until she left.

She even threatened him with the Ken doll she bought for him. Jongdae and Sehun started cleaning the living room while Jongin followed kyungsoo toward the kitchen. The older was humming a melody under his breath; hands busy with dishes.

“Hyung, thank you for the delicious pies and the beautiful pendant.” Jongin came from behind the elder and hugged him tightly. He buried his face into the crook of Kyungsoo’s neck with a content sigh. Kyungsoo hummed in acknowledgment. The two just stood there in silence for a few seconds, while soft music can be heard from the living room.

Jongin’s body began to sway in rhythm, making his elder move along with him. Kyungsoo chuckled at the silly affectionate younger before turning his body to face the taller male with a raised brow.

“Dance with me hyung?” Jongin batted his eyelashes cutely at the shorter male. Kyungsoo simply grinned with a short nod. Jongin’s hand moved slowly towards his elder’s waist, while the other one grabbed Kyungsoo’s smaller one. Their gazes were locked to one another, big round eyes staring at almond-shaped ones.

They kept dancing and dancing although the music had stopped at some point. It didn’t matter anyway because Kyungsoo was humming a melody again and Jongin was about to fly from joy to even care. Kyungsoo’s hair smelled like apples, it was endearing and Jongin wanted to savour it all.

With the help of alcohol in his system, Jongin suddenly stopped and stared down at Kyungsoo. The shorter male blinked his doe eyes at him in confusion, full red lips slightly parted.

The taller male couldn’t help but stare even more at those delicious looking lips, they were so damn inviting. Kyungsoo raised a brow at the half-lidded eyes he was staring back at. Jongin leaned closer, dangerously closer to his elder’s face.

Only a breath away from Kyungsoo’s lips, Jongin averted his gaze towards his hyung’s eyes. Glossy and half-lidded eyes coated with something the younger couldn’t pinpoint.

Jongin gulped hard before bringing his gaze back towards the shorter male’s mouth. They were both a bit drunk; cheeks flaming and lips parting on their own.

When Jongin was about to touch the lips he has always been dreaming of, Kyungsoo stopped him with his hands on the younger’s shoulders.

“I—I think—I think Jongdae is calling me…I—I should go check on them.” Kyungsoo stuttered; his eyes avoiding every possible contact with Jongin’s ones.

“Oh...o—okey hyung.”

Jongin could feel his hands shaking; his whole body actually. He was so close to kissing the one whom he loved so deeply yet he lost his chance. As it seemed his elder didn’t want to kiss him back.

The tanned male let out a shaky breath before storming outside the house. He was about to start running when a familiar figure caught his attention.

He walked toward the brunette who was standing next to a really tall blond while hitting the latter with a stick (only god knows from where he got that thing). Jongin couldn’t help but raise a brow in amusement when he reached the two.

“Yixing? What are you doing here?” The brunette was a bit startled by the tanned male’s voice, because he was too busy trying to take his stick back from the taller male’s grasp as it seemed.

“Jongin!” Yixing looked extremely excited for some reason. “We were just passing by when I thought it would be fun to pay you a visit. And while we were passing by, a terribly poor old man jumped in our way and begged us to buy something from him. Because I am a really nice person I decide to help him by buying a shirt from him. So…” Yifan was biting hard on his lower lip to stifle a laugh at the more than obvious lie.

“So then I thought that this shirt would fit you perfectly. You might ask why right? Don’t. Because I’m not answering you. Anyways, here you go! This is for you.” Jongin stared in pure shock at Yixing; mouth gaping.

“Fo—for me? Why?” Jongin eyed the shirt. It was a black graphic shirt with some artistic Batman drawings on it. It actually looked quite expensive.

“I just said don’t ask why. Just take the shirt and stop looking at me like that!” Yifan was staring daggers at the tanned male. His eyes studying every little movement the slightly shorter male did.

“But how did you know it was my birthday today?” Yixing’s eyes widened at the shocking news. What a lovely coincidence. Yixing thought.

“I actually didn’t know it was your birthday. I bought the shirt because it reminded me of that day you kidnapped me and called yourself Batman, remember?” Yifan glanced at Yixing for a brief moment. Yixing was kidnapped by this kid once?

“Oh. Okay. Thank you...really.” Jongin moved closer and without much thought hugged the brunette tightly. Yixing was more than taken aback. He threw a quick glance at Yifan who was eyeing him with a raised brow.

“Thank you hyung. Thank you!” It wasn’t about the shirt. Jongin was shaking and the brunette was fast to understand that the taller male just wanted someone to hold him. Something bad happened to the younger and who was Yixing to push Jongin away? If he needed a hug, Yixing will gladly give it to him.

“You’re welcome Batman.” Jongin chuckled; voice muffled by the brunette’s shirt. Yixing hugged the younger tightly back. But for some reason his eyes never left Yifan’s ones.

“I’ll try to find that poor old man so I can buy you an Ironman shirt Yixing hyung.” Yifan’s dark eyes were staring into the brunette’s soul. Yixing bit hard on his lower lip; eyes gazing right back at the taller’s ones.

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

The brunette felt a bit weird while hugging the younger and at the same time being watched by Yifan. He quickly wished Jongin a happy birthday and excused himself by a made up commitment.

The blond didn’t talk to him the whole ride. He kept focusing on the road, totally ignoring the younger. Yixing glanced at him from time to time. Something felt wrong, they were never like this. The brunette got used to arguing and nagging at every little thing the taller male did, but now the silence was somehow suffocating him. It was odd, and Yixing wasn’t really into odd things. By force of habit the brunette brought out his turquoise lighter from his pocket.

Seoul was beautiful at night, bright lights shining everywhere; people laughing and having fun with their loved ones. The aroma of street food was so inviting it made Yixing’s stomach growl in hunger.

The brunette sighed. His left hand busy with the custom made lighter while the other one was supporting his right pale cheek on it. Yifan without uttering a single word pulled the car over near a Chinese restaurant. The brunette blinked at the taller blond in confusion waiting for him to say something. Yifan turned his gaze towards the younger; a small smile on his face.

“Hungry?” Yixing beamed in sheer joy at Yifan before nodding his head furiously; making the blond chuckle and ruffle his already messed up brown hair.

The weird atmosphere between the two soon vanished when the home made like Chinese plates were settled in front of them. They switched from Korean to Chinese and somehow Yixing felt like he was at home when he was with Yifan.

“My mother is Canadian. My father actually had a wife back in China but when she wasn’t able to bare him a child, he abandoned her and moved to Vancouver. That’s where he met my mother. She used to tell me that she thought he was as in love with her as she was with him, but that wasn’t really the case because when his parents found out about his secret marriage to my mother, especially because she wasn’t Chinese, they threatened him of taking everything they ever gave him back from him. So he asked for divorce and left her without breaking a sweat.” Yixing frowned and was about to say something when Yifan spoke again.

“It doesn’t matter anymore. He’s old now. Old and lonely. His first wife refused to go back to him and when he tried to contact my mother two years ago she shut him off.”

“What about you? Why are you here? I mean you don’t sound like you like your father so why are you here?” Yixing questioned before shoving a fried rice filled spoon into his mouth.

“I’m the only heir.” Yifan chuckled and moved his hand towards Yixing’s face. The younger blinked his brown orbs at the extended hand in front of his face in confusion.

“Cute.” Yifan wiped the spattered baby rice from the corner of Yixing’s mouth before stating. The latter felt his face getting heated at the touch. He suddenly got this feeling of being the dumb lead character to some silly plot-less romantic Korean drama. He felt sick. He hated Korean dramas.

“Whatever.” Yixing mumbled but his attention was soon focused on a figure that just entered the Chinese restaurant.

It was none other than Victoria Song. Finally he was going to get his chance to come clean.

Run&Gun club was filled with drunk people and obnoxious music as usual. Taekwoon glared at a smiling Baekhyun leaning a bit too close against a laughing Chanyeol. It’s been an hour since they first came here and not once did Baekhyun leave his taller friend’s side. Taekwoon was seriously getting irritated by now.

“Get a room you two.” The black haired male hissed; finally succeeding in grabbing his boyfriend’s attention.

“Oh chill Taekwooniiee~” Baekhyun cooed with a wide grin. “Chanyeol and I are just talking, no need to worry. I have only one person in mind that I’d love to get a room with.” Chanyeol chuckled; amused by Taekwoon’s jealousy of him.

“If you’re talking about Yixing, I swear to god Byun Baekhyun—“ The shorter male with too much eyeliner jumped on top of the counter and crushed his lips with Taekwoon’s ones in a heated kiss. Chanyeol simply rolled his eyes at the two.

Jung Taekwoon was the owner of this club. When they first met him, Chanyeol only knew him as Yixing’s extremely shy friend. The guy was really calm and rarely said a word. At that time Chanyeol and Baekhyun were dating; it didn’t really last long between the two because they found out that they were much better off as friends.

Chanyeol and Yixing were never close; so that resulted to him and Taekwoon not becoming close as well. But just by looking at the way Taekwoon looked at Yixing with jealousy every time a drunken Baekhyun complained about being invisible and unnoticeable for his boss (who is none other than Yixing). Chanyeol knew for sure that the dark-haired male had a huge crush on his ex-lover.

Baekhyun being the dense little he was never noticed the lingering stares of the other male and on the other hand Taekwoon being the reticent introverted idiot never even dared to confess. It took them two years to finally collapse and find each other.

Now that they did find each; the two lovers never stop arguing and fighting over the most simplest of things. Taekwoon for his jealousy and Baekhyun for flirting with every moving creature out there. But it wasn’t that bad really, because they would always go back to one another with a passionate kiss that would usually make their friends groin in embarrassment.
