~ Leeteuk’s POV ~

A few hours after my eyes closed finally feeling sleepy, someone nudges me awake. I groaned and covered my head with a pillow. I had just gotten my sleep so who the hell wanted to ruin it?

“Hyung you need to wake up now,” the person persistently keeps on shaking me.

“I’m still sleeping...”

“But hyung... you need to get up. All the members are up now,” Eunhyuk said when he removed the pillow above my head.

“Why is everyone up already?”

“You’re still sleepy hyung. Did you forget? Today is our debut!”

My eyes immediately snap open and I jumps out of bed surprising my dongsaeng who had his hand above his heart. “Oh my God! What time is it? Why did you wake me last? Are all the managers here? Do I have enough time to get ready? I shouldn’t have slept late!”

“Hyung, relax. We have enough time. Take this and go to the bathroom now. Nobody is using it right now, you can have it by yourself,” he said handing me a towel. I thanked him and grabbed myself a plain shirt and jeans before heading out of my room. The moment I opened the door I heard the commotion in the living room. I took a peak and my eyes widened at the sight. The amount of wardrobe placed in there was overwhelming. That’s when I realized that we really have too much members. I smiled at how childish my dongsaengs were, as they flock like birds on the clothes that we will wear on our debut stage.

“Oh Jungsoo you should hurry up or else the members will steal the clothes assigned to you,” Seunghwan hyung joked when he saw me standing at the doorway.

“Look hyung! Its getting real now! Our dream to stand onstage is happening today!” Donghae said excitedly.

“Kid do not be so excited. With your high energy u feel like I’m going to forget my lines,” Kangin ruffled his hair.

“You better not or else you’ll ruin the day,” I warned although I knew he was just joking. Every one of us have been diligently preparing for this day. Days and nights of practice resulted to this and us more than anyone else deserves to debut. We earned it.

“I’m excited to meet the fans later!”

“We have fans already?” I asked.

“Ouch that hurts. If the fans learn that the leader doesn’t monitor your fan cafes they will get hurt,” manager hyung said.

“But hyung I thought they said there’s too many of us,” I replied remembering some of the not so nice comments I read online when SM first released the news of our debut.

“Well, apparently some of them changed hearts and fell in love with you guys when they saw the teaser photos,”

“Hyung they said that there are fans waiting for us at Inkigayo today,” Eunhyuk said.

“Really?” I said grinning. “Wow, starting today I will really get to know them. I should dedicate a time to surf the internet from now on,”

“Sounds good but I think you should dedicate a time today for you to take a bath hyung. You’re the only one who smells hyung,” Heechul said with the word ‘hyung’ to annoy me.

I grabbed the nearest pillow to me before throwing it at him and stocking my tongue out. He dodged it and started laughing loudly. I stared at the members for another second before turning to the bathroom to take a shower.

~ Yesung’s POV ~

I think I wanted to cry.

Few minutes before the actual broadcast, us members gathered altogether inside the backstage. Dressed in our stylish clothes courtesy of the company stylists in-charge with us, we admired each other because its our first time to be fully dressed up like this. I carefully observed the members and each one of us were busy with other stuffs to keep our mind preoccupied.

I watched Donghae, Shindong and Eunhyuk on the side recalling some of the choreography with Hangeng. Leeteuk hyung is talking with manager hyung, probably orienting him about how he will introduce the group later. Heechul was fanning himself at the farthest side of the room away from us. He doesn’t want to join the crowd because it is hot. Sungmin was sitting on the chair mouthing the lyrics with Kibum who seems to also watch the other members in silence. Siwon has a coordi-noona by his side who is fixing his hair style. Ryeowook was at the back also quietly watching the rest of us. Kangin was sitting on another hair and massaging his neck.

My heart beats in nervousness and excitement as I am about to fulfil my dreams, all the hardwork I had put in the years of training is finally being paid off!

I wanted to call my parents and ask them to come and watch our first performance but knowing how busy they are and my father still doesn’t approve of my chosen profession, I held back. They could just watch the broadcast on the television if they want. This is already happening and not even my father could change my decision now.

I could only walk one step and I’m already at the doorway of my dreams. If I had doubts years ago, it all vanished now that I have 100% chance of proving my talents to everyone. I am used to singing ballads but in this project group I could practice myself to different genres of music. If I eventually part this group in the future, because no one among us is permanent, then I could use this opportunity to make myself be known before I go my own way. But looking back at our members, I became close to all of them that I couldn’t imagine myself going without them. Though its not possible, I hope that these three months to come we can prove the company that we have potential to be a permanent group.

I walked a few more steps to peak at the stage and I could see the fans seating in front. I wonder if those are our fans or from other groups.

“The more I look at them the more I get nervous,” Eunhyuk said coming up to my side.

“But you are supposed to get used to it. Try looking at them more so that you get comfortable,” I replied still looking at them.

“I’m not like you hyung. I could get used to it for a long time but later I will just focus on not messing up the choreography,”

“Look at who’s talking. You’re the greatest dancer among the trainees! Where is your confidence??”

“He’s just nervous hyung. I think everyone who is doing their first stage will feel this too,” Sungmin said joining our conversation.

I didn't reply back because I don'tbknow how to comfort my dongsaengs when I myself is sweaty out of nervousness too. Seconds later I hear the staffs reminding us to get ready for the stage.

"Super Junior on stage in five minutes, please get ready,"

The coordinoonas got more busy in fixing everyone's clothes making sure that our mouth piece is attached properly. Last minute sound checks were done before the manager hyung clears his throat to announcing something.

"Boys gather around first," Daebin hyung ordered. We crowd around him but he held up his hands and let Leeteuk hyung talk.

"Boys, before we our debut stage let's hold hands and pray for this dream come true. This is a blessing to all of us and a fruit of our hardwork," by this time we had formed a big circle while holding each other's hands tightly. "Let's promise each other to keep giving our best for the group. And to continue looking out for each other not just as members but as brothers as well. Its not going to be an easy journey but we everyone's cooperation it will be a success. Whatever issue that comes on our way we will be strong and united as one. We will show everyone the unlimited talents we have and we will prove them that we are rightful for this opportunity to debut. We will gave our fans who will loyally follow us. We can do it boys alright?" he asked looking at our eyes for confirmation and it was Kangin who spoke for the rest of us.

"Super Junior fighting!"

We broke away and patted each other's backs as a silent support. We heard the cue for us to go on the stage and we started hearing the loud cheers that comes from the audience.

"Good luck boys," our managers said as one by one we exited the backstage and into the stage where we are welcomed by the audience.

We will do our best because no matter how many years will pass by, we will always look back to this day where we all first started
