Chapter 4
Found you - like a movie.The Feeling
“Kris! You are late!” Alex immediately said as he saw Kris walking in the coffee shop. Kris immediately sat in front of him.
“I was actually the first one to be here” Kris showed his drink towards Alex and took a sip.
Alex almost laughed realizing he could never beat Kris with his promises; Kris was always early, on time but never late.
“Fine, where we you anyway? Why did you go out?” Alex asked Kris and saw how Kris suddenly lighted up. “Did you see anyone you liked?” Alex asked sensing how Kris was a little excited.
“I saw Lena” Kris simply said and gave a grin.
“You saw Lena, again? Man, this must be fate or something” Alex became more interested and decided to look outside.
“She’s not there, she left” Kris explained to Alex so that he could sit properly. “I got her number though” Kris holds onto his phone as if his life was his phone.
“Good for you! Finally taking that brave, courageous step!” Alex patted Kris’ shoulders and gave Kris a thumbs up and was genuinely proud of his friend, “I think you are the only one who has her number” Alex continued.
“What do you mean?” Kris asked, curious and looked up towards Alex who was leaning towards his seat.
“Yes, I don’t have her number, no one does, well, maybe, Trish, Tina and Min has hers but not anyone else” Alex explained again, Alex had actually tried asking for Lena’s number for Kris as a push before, but Trish, Tina and Min didn’t budge. “She’s not even in our group chat” Alex continued sipping his drink.
Kris only nodded, understanding what Alex had said. “I don’t know what to say to her” Kris immediately started to think about what to talk to her about.
“You know Kris; I think you can talk about anything with her. I personally think she feels the same as you” Alex tried to convince Kris and shared his honest thoughts.
“I don’t know about that, but I think I could definitely talk anything with her. The problem is, getting her to talk” Kris immediately put his phone back in his pockets, “I don’t know how to make her talk” Kris continued again.
“Hey, take things slowly. Don’t rush” Alex shook his head and looked towards Kris. “You have all the time in the world, wait. You don’t” Alex said slowly remembering what he talked about with Kris two days ago.
“I really don’t want to think about that” Kris lean on his seat now.
“They are still going at it?” Alex asked worriedly and knew the answer was obvious.
“You know how they are, A is A, B is B, so now, marriage is marriage” Kris sighed heavily and took his drink.
“Well, you could just tell them you have someone you’re thinking of marrying, she’s just not ready yet” Alex gave an idea to Kris.
“You think I haven’t use that excuse yet? Why do you think I haven’t been going to any sogaeting for the past few months?” Kris just holds onto the back of his neck. “My mum has been harassing about who it is, I can’t even say a name because I don’t have that someone”
“How long do you have?” Alex said and it actually sounded like a life and death situation.
“3 months, three months to find a bride before I get sold as a business deal” Kris sighed yet again. Three months sounded long but felt as if it would come sooner than they expect.
