Chapter 8

Dara's POV

My eyes fluttered open, and I saw bright, white lights. Was I in heaven? Then my eyes focused, and I realized I was just in the hospital. A nurse was standing in front of me with a tray of food. She smmiled. "After you eat, will you be okay for visitors?" she asked. I nodded. I ate the musy hospital food, and called to the nurse when I was done. She opened the door, and two people came in. It was Bom and Chae. Bom rushed to my side and buried her face into my shoulder. "I.. I.. I was s-so scared!" She weeped. It looked like something else was bothering her, but from experience, I figured I shouldn't tslk about it right now. "So was I, but I'mall better now, don't worry." I hugged her. Chae came over and squeezed my hand. "This is my dfault. If I-" "Hadn't taken me to the hospital, I would've died." I didn't let her finish. She smiled faintly and Bom looked up and smiled. She hugged me and stood up, wiping her eyes. "How long til she can leave?"Chae asked. "Tomorrow, possibly today. We just need to make sure her blood level is normal." We all smiled and I sat up. Bom put a teddy bear on my lap, and Chae flowers. " We have to go to work." Chae said. Bom left first, and Chae asked, "Could you give us a moment?"  The nurse nodded and stepped out of the room. "I'm really glad you're okay. You know, I put up this big badass act, and I can't even act it. I freeze at times like this." She teared up and wiped her eyes. I smiled. "I really do have to go though. What she did next suprised me. She bent down and kissed my cheek. She left without turning back, and I felt my cheeks turn a rosy red. Next, my parents came in, "Umma! Appa!" I said. They grinned at my pep and walked over with ballons and flowers. "How are you?" Umma asked. "Feeling a lot better. How are you two?"  I asked looking at my umma and appa. My mom was a teen mom, so she's fairly young. They looked at eachother. "I'm pregnant!" Umma said. My mouth hung open. "Preg-Pregnant?" She nodded and hugged me. I hugged her back and laughed. A baby. Looks like i'll be having a sibling. "Congratulations!" I said. "We miss you lots. How come you and Bom never come around anymore?" Appa asked. I shrugged and he laughed. "Well please come more often." He said. I nodded and they got up to leave, both planting kisses on my forehead.

Bom's POV

I walked out of the hospital rubbing my eyes. I was looking down when I walked into somebody. "Omo! I'm so sorry!" I said looking up. "It's alright. I wasn't paying attention." he said. I nodded and started to walk away. "Is everything alright? Your eyes are so puffy." I turned around and tears unintentionally sliped out of my eyes. "No. Nothings wrong." I said. He grabbed my wrist and said, "I know something's wrong. You can tell me. I have training as a therapist." he said. I nodded and he walked me to a nearby park. "My best friend is in the hospital." I said. "I can tell that there's more to it, the reason of your tears." He said. Man, he was good. "Last night, my mom died. He looked somewhat shocked. "What was the cause?" "My dad." He put his arm around me. "It's okay, you can tell me the story." "Ever since I was little, my father beat my mother if she didn't do what he wanted. Sometimes he did it just because. When I was 16, I came home to my mother being beaten to a pulp. My father threw a stuffed bear at me, and said "Your mother wanted me to give you this thing."  He threw it at the ground near me and spit on it, Rubbing it in with his foot. I saw my mother mutter 'run! Now!', so I dashed out of the house with the bear. I stopped at a bus stop bench and examined the bear, when I noticed a hole in it's ear. There was a note from my mother inside the bear. I waited until I got to a hotel, and pulled out the letter. Dear Bom, Your father is a monster but i'll be okay. Don't ever come back to this house. Every Sunday, we will meet at a park called "Freedum Park. Mapquest it. Sunday from 12-3 we can see eachother. He works on sundays from 11-4. Located in this plushie's foot, there should be an envelope with $200,000. My life savings. Use it to buy an apartment. Never come back to that house. EVER! I will slowly bring you your belongings that you want on Sunday's. I love you so very much Bommie. Love, Mom Yesterday, I went to the park to see her. I brought her flowers, since yesterday was the second year aniversary, where she saved my life, and She wasn't there. So, I decided to just look through the windows to see if she got stuck in the house, because it has happened before. Whhen  got there, I looked through the windows and saw her with a knife in her chest, and beatings all over. I ran as far away  as I could and thats when I heard about my best friend Dara. Things have not been going my way this week." I started to weep and weep, and the boy put my head on his shoulder. He hugged me and told me it'll be okay. "What's your name?" He asked. "Bom." "Well Bom, If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, you can text me." He handed me a card and stood up, straightening his coat. I looked at the card he gave me. It said-

Mwahahahha cliff hanger ending. Wellll you finally got to see Bom;s look at things. Didnt expect what happened did ya. Who do you think the mystery boy is? I'll leave you to be curious.....

But guys, I kind of want some feedback. This is the first story I havent deleted after 2 chapters and I don;t know if it's good or not.. is it???? Hahahaha But f I could get some feedback from you guys that would be great okay byeeeee
