She was pacing the room nervously in her pajamas, looking at her phone every now and then. The little gadget buzzed quite a number of times but she delayed in answering them. Should she tell him now? It will be such a huge weight off her chest once she acknowledged that she wasnt the only one who knew of the thing.

The shipping thing.

It hadnt felt right to keep it by herself for all this time. And besides, Minho was the other part of Doctors, he has all the right to know.

And after she set her phone down the side of her bed, Saehyun immediately slept soundly.

The next day at Literature class, Saehyun and Mimi were sitting next to eachother, each bored to death. Mrs. Noh was a nice teacher, but can be pretty boring at times. She yawned and looked over at her friend who was chipping her pink nailpolish off her nails. The other students were also busy doing pointless little things just to pass the time.

She looked over to the back, where Minho sat. He yawned. They say that yawning is contageous. Now, where did he get that from? 

Saehyun smiled and turned around to her original position, trying to busy herself with twirling her pencil around her fingers. She noticed her scientific calculator on the desk and picked it up for no reason.

Out of boredom, she pressed the buttons, trying to spell her names with numbers and symbols. "543-" and that was the furthest she got to her name. There was simply no 'H' to be found. Ugh, so dissapointing.

Mimi saw what she was doing and was immediately copying her, spelling "M1M1" on her own calculator. "How did you get 'M'?" Saehyun asked. "If you go to the back of the case of the calculator, you get commands to turn some numbers into a symbol: Like SHIFT+7+number= symbol" Mimi said.

And after discovering this valuable knowledge, she quickly typed in words such as, 'Saehyun, SHINee, Bored, LOL, etc." It has gotten to the point that this calculator-text thing became a game between her and Mimi. 

The game was simple. They pick a word, and whoever finishes typing the word faster wins. 

They were so concentrated and when they were typing in the word 'Biology' , the english teacher, Mrs Noh, exclaimed their names.

"Na Hyungsoo, take their phones!" She commanded a guy sitting infront of their seat.

He looked at the devices in their hands and looked at the teacher awkwardly, not knowing what to say. Mrs. Noh yelled, "What are you waiting for? Bring me their phones!" 

He took the calculators and held it up for the teacher to see. "They're not phones maam, they're calculators." He glanced at the girls, "They were looking at their calculators." He said.

The whole class erupted in laughter.

Maybe she was a loser, Saehyun thought. I mean, normal people would usually play their phones.

"Well, I guess Mimi and I arent normal." She mumbled to herself.

Saehyun could hear Minho laughing in the back and sunk deeper into her chair. It was embarassing enough as it is.

Mrs. Noh stiffled a laugh and fixed her expression. "Kim Saehyun, Hwang Mimi, behave. Next time I'll confiscate.. uhh.. your calculators."

"Sorry, maam." they said.

True friends are sometimes the weirdest.

Biology came after lunch and Saehyun was late for class. She was too busy eating and reading at the same time to realise that the bell had gone some minutes ago. She dashed through the hallways, carrying her notes in her right hand and her textbook in her left.

She opened her door of the Biology classroom silently and saw that the camel was on her computer, showing the students a presentation of how proteins are made by the human body. Saehyun saw Minho waving a hand, telling her to go around the back of the room so she could be un-noticed.

She ducked her back and walked quietly through the left row of the class and turned to the right to head next to Minho, where her seat is.

"Someone's early." Minho said as she sat down next to him, still breathing fast due to all the running she did. "Oh shut up." she said.

Minho pointed at her textbook and covered his smiling mouth. She saw that it wasnt her Biology book, but her English book. Oh joy.

"It's a normal mistake," He said, "The textbook for Bio and English looks awfully similar." She just shrugged in desperation and rested her head on top of the table. She was so tired, why is the cafeteria so far from the Bio lab?

The Camel stopped the presentation after 20 long minutes and told the students to open their textbooks to read and highlight the chapter about proteins. She went on, explaining the uses of proteins, not caring if anybody was even listening.

"Here, we can share mine," She heard Minho say as she looked up to him. "Thanks."

She could hear the murmurs of people behind them. Wait, not just people, fangirls. Oh, not again.

"The fangirls are going crazy over us." he said, beaming proudly. She forgot for a moment that he knew too.

She gave out a small laugh. "Doctors. It suits us." 

"Yeah, it does." He smiled, lifting the corners of his lips. "Hey, can I ask you something?"

She nodded. "Shoot."

He sighed and glanced at the fangirls at the back. "Is it uncomfortable for you? This whole 'shipping' thing with Doctors."

Saehyun looked at him incredulously. "No, why would it be?" Sure, being in the shipping was sometimes embarassing but then she never felt uncomfortable around Minho. It was an impossible thought.

"Oh, because you know, usually a girl gets weirded out if they're shipped with a guy they dont like." he explained.

Again, she looked at him. A question in her expression. "But ofcourse I like you,"

His face turned still, and she could see his neck turning pink. "Wh- what??"

"Why wouldn't I like you? We're friends, right?" She said. After those words, Minho's face turned from pink to ashen.

He looked away from her, scoffed, and replied, "No, we're not. We're not friends." he added pressure to the last words, as if it was a cuss word to express his anger.

It was quiet for a moment

"Then what are we?" Saehyun asked. Minho facepalm-ed himself and sighed. "Dont you get the picture, Kim Saehyun?"

Just then, the bell rang and the students started to disperse out of the room. As Minho stood up from his seat and headed for the door, his friend Kim Jonghyun put his arm around him when they walked out. "What's wrong man? You look like doomsday itself."

"I'm doomed," he said.

"What is it?" Jonghyun asked.

Minho looked blankly at Jonghyun. "Dude, I just got friend-zoned."
