Camera flashes, Bright lighting, Stylish set, and exceptional apparels. Damn, she looks so perfect standing there. She smiles posing and projecting herself with those flashes. The studio is her play ground and the camera is her best friend. Her eyes luring every single person present in that place. Her presence is so intimidating. She’s shining, she’s gleaming and whatever she’s just too beautiful to explain.

Every move she makes catches attention. When on breaks and she asks for something particular like her water, everyone joins in the marathon like contest on who can give it to her first. It’s overwhelming for her of course. This kind of treatment doesn’t really exist in Paris. Well a little, but mostly it was just her handler unni who’s taking care of her every need.

And right in Korea, Shinyoung her handler is enjoying it too much. A lot wanted to volunteer to take her place that she just watch her talent being treated like an empress. While she’s just there chilling out with her snacks.

“You have a magazine interview, contract signing with a clothing line and dinner with some respected people in the industry.” She choked on her iced coffee hearing her schedule for the rest of the day.

“What? Why so many?” she complained

“What? I even rescheduled your tvc shoot the next day. God, Koreans are crazy for you.Well, I’m sorry, and blame yourself for being famous in your home country.” She hasn’t even been a month in Korea. Actually she’s just supposed to shoot a tvc for a famous brand of shoes in the country and go back to Paris again.

But hey, everything changed when tens of calls came in each day to her handler wanting her to be their company’s and or product endorser. And it didn’t end there. Her everyday schedule fills in by itself with photo shoots and tvc. That her face was shown on tv with five different tvcs in a day. And holding a degree of fashion and design in Paris France, is a completely different story. She became the cover of every fashion magazine issued in Korea. So why not? She made it big in other country. Why not try in Korea?

She might be born and raised in the US. Finished school in England. Got her degree in Paris. But Korea will always have a place in her heart.

“Like seriously, can I even have a decent meal this day?” she pouted

“No rice, no much carbs for you this week. You have another photo shoot tomorrow. I saw the wardrobe. You’re dress will show a lot of skin.”

“As usual. How about bread?” she bargained.

“Fine but just a piece. Whole wheat. Just have your fitness cereals and there’s low fat milk in your fridge.”

It has always been like that. Oatmeal and yoghurt in the morning, sometimes eggs. Fresh green salad topped with chicken but mostly salmon and still green smoothie for lunch. Steamed broccoli, spinach, zucchini and whatever vegetable for dinner. Sometimes nut mix and fruits.

Funny it may seem but for those years of being deprived of high calorie foods, her tongue already forgot what steamed rice taste like.
