I stared at the glass wall that stands between us for the hundredth time.

I have been looking at you intently - You who tried to cure this world, when you were the one who needed it the most. I bet you’re tired of these off-white, cold walls. I bet that needle inside your arms hurts… I bet you wanted this to end.

I wanted to feel your touch, I wanted to comfort you. Infested with harmful germs, you are no longer allowed to touch anyone. You often lament tearfully that there’s nothing you can do anymore. The day before, I promised that I would cure you. I brought it up again today. “Let’s chat without any of that technical talk.” You said with a smile. Even though we couldn’t feel each other’s touch, we were without a doubt in contact.

I spent my time with you, laughing, until the end.
