XV. JAE HWAN
"Hey, look over there!" She turned her head around as soon as I said those words. "Hmm?" She blinked at the open window, staring at nothing. "Tricked you." I said and grinned. She shot me a glare. "Geez... Don't fool around." She sighed heavily. The lass was writing on her English journal - The one that she missed when she was sick at home. While I... I was on detention like any other day. "Are you mad now?"
"I'm irritated." Her eyes didn't waver from the paper. "It's the same."
"Do you know why you're in detention?" She asked me, her orbs fixated on mine. "I wonder why." The girl in front of me rolled her eyes and scoffed. "It's because of your attitude. You keep on bluffing around... Making pranks and playing tricks on people. That's what they dislike about you." There was a pause. I slightly tilted my head with my mouth gaping a little. "Huh?" I asked - The questions never ending. "Do you dislike that part about me?" She tapped her pen on her chin and thought about it. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't."
"Just give me a straight answer."
"You're the one who never gives out the straight answer. You talk with sarcasm."
"Sarcasm is my middle name!" I proudly said. "...I guess that's your character. You might spout out gibberish talk, but sometimes, when you're being serious, that's what I like about you."
"...I like you too." I blurted out of nowhere. The girl beside me flinched, "Stop talking nonsense."
"I'm serious." I gazed at her; telling her with my eyes that I was truly being serious. "Wha - " She flinched once more, her ears turning red. If I tell you the truth, you might think that it's a joke.
"...Just kidding!"
It's better that way...
