Disappointment
Beautiful Torture
"You heard what? I said nothing." The last statement sounded like a question though, and that infuriated me even more. I bit my bottom lips hard and looked away before heaving a long sigh.
“I want you to abort that baby. I don’t want to see that baby in this world.”
I said back his last sentence and he stood there frozen. His mouth opened but not a word went out from it. Kris was staring at me with his mouth gaping like a gold fish while I just stood there, chest heaving up and down. I looked back into his eyes daringly but this time, he looked away. He blinked a few times before letting out a nervous laugh.
“Y-you’ve never said that y-you know h-how to speak Mandarin.” His adam's apple bobbed when he finished his sentence.
“Well, I can tell that it is worth learning that language.” I paused and crossed my arms on my chest. “Now, tell me.” I demanded and his eyes wandered everywhere; refusing on meeting mine. He heaved a sigh and opened up his mouth again.
“Mommy, I am late for school.” I heard Yi Kyung’s voice from downstairs.
“Send him off first. We need to talk. No, we have to talk.” I took off my apron before throwing it harshly on the floor, right in front of Kris. I walked in our bedroom; not forgetting to bump against his shoulder coldly. I slammed the door hard that the whole house vibrated from the impact.
I walked slowly to our bed and sat down lifelessly on the edge of it. I shouldn't be mad yet. Maybe he has the explanation. I convinced my heart that was swelling with hate and mostly, pain. I heard our main door of the house clicked, hinting that Kris and Yi Kyung had already set off.

Kris sat quietly beside his wife and sighed. Not knowing where and how to start it.
"H-honey--"
"Don't call me that."
Her voice was different, so much different from what he's always heard these past six years. It was cold and somewhat... distant. He sighed, feeling the blanket of guiltiness slowly covering his heavy heart.
"Actually, I don't know where to start but--"
"Why?"
Kris was left stunned at his wife's question. He was confused, was she asking why he didn't know how to start or why did he do that. He crouched to the front and placed his elbows on his knees. His hands were busy rubbing his face and ruffled his already messed up hair. He took his time, trying to arrange his sentences. Chan Kyung was being sensitive these days, so he was afraid that she will do something unexpected on the spot.
"I cheated on you."
Chan Kyung's jaw dropped, how blunt can he get, she asked herself. Her eyes were fixed on the vase that Kris bought from China. Tears were pooling in her eyes that she can barely see the
