Yunho

We had driven to an outdoor-swimming pool. I was waiting outside to the cabinets for Jaejoong. I had brought one of my swimming trunks for him. When he finally came outside, I was quite surprised at how muscular his body was. I always thought he was just slim and I wondered where he got that muscles from.

“Don’t pull such a face!” I said and smiled, took his hand and then hurried to the pool.  I jumped into the water and pulled him with me. When I reached the surface, I saw that Jaejoong was laughing. It was probably the first time ever, he had even smiled since he was living with me. Or maybe he just wasn’t doing that when I’m around. I put my arms around his neck and tried to pull him into the water. For a while we were wrestling under laughs, trying to dip each other. He finally succeeded and then swam away. I tried to catch him. It took me a while to get him, but then I jumped on his back, pushing him underwater for revenge. When we went up again, we were both gasping for air. Jaejoong was laughing out loud. Hearing that, made me so happy, too. I rested my head on his shoulders my arms were still around him.

“Come on, let’s try the water slide!” I said and pulled him with me…

After a while, we were pretty exhausted because we had been so hyperactive. Yunho spread a big blanket on the lawn and we lay down, after we had dried our bodies with towels. The sun was comfortably shining on us, I closed my eyes. Without realizing I had started to smile because I was replaying the day and the fun I had had, in my head, but I couldn’t help to suffer and worry, when I thought about…..the thing that had happened.

“Want some ice-cream?” I suddenly heard Yunho’s soft voice say.

“Great idea!” I said, opened my eyes and got up and then we went to the little shop to buy some ice-cream. Then we walked back to the lawn while eating our ice-cream. I felt really happy. He asked me to switch, because he wanted to try and taste mine, so we did.

“Deeeelicious!~” he said and laughed. I couldn’t help but laugh, too…

Two girls came over to us and one of them asked Jaejoong for his number because she would leave soon. Jaejoong was too shy to say no, but still he blushed. When they were gone, I said:

“Don’t be that shy about it. You’re handsome! Something like that might happen more often to you!”

“Don’t say such nonsense! I’m not handsome. YOU are handsome! It’s a miracle that she didn’t ask YOU for your number!” he said. I laughed.

“Come on, look at those muscles!” I answered and poked his tummy and then his arm.

“But I think she rather asked you because of your face.” I added.

“Why? What’s with my face?” he asked, looking at me perplexed.

“I don‘t know, it’s like an angel’s face.”

“WHAT?” he said and laughed. “You’re talking cheesy nonsense!” he added and I also laughed.

“But really….your face is f face you can’t stop looking at.” I answered. For a moment we were locking eyes with eachother. Although I knew that those kinds of words would only hurt him, I didn’t regret them and I didn’t want to take them back. They were true. And that day was the first time we had felt like friend and friend instead of the savior and his awkward victim…
