Kyuhyun’s POV

Goodbye means forever and forever is a long long time. 

I was the fastest to react as I called out Ryeowook’s name, running after him. I never knew Ryeowook could run this fast. He pushed through the exit doors and ran down the stairs, his sobs echoing. My legs were aching from the crazy comeback week and I was exhausted but I needed to chase after Ryeowook. Ryeowook managed to run out of the building and even though it was raining so heavily, Ryeowook just continued running. I followed after him, my shirt and pants immediately getting wet and sticking to my body.

“Ryeowook!!” I called out.

Ryeowook ignored me and ran to a nearby park. I didn’t like this. Ryeowook running in the rain like this. He could easily get sick especially with how fragile his body condition was in right now. I ran faster, putting in all the energy I have left in my body and finally caught up to Ryeowook, grabbing his arms and pulling him so that we’d both stopped. I spun him around and caught his wrists while both of us panted heavily.

“Stop, Ryeowook, just stop.” I begged.

Ryeowook struggled. “Let go of me, Kyu.”

“No, Wookie, just stop. We need to get you back.” I said. “You’re going to get a cold if we don’t get back.”

“I don’t want to!”

Ryeowook shoved me hard and I stumbled back. Ryeowook dropped to his knees and his body vibrated as he suddenly screamed out loud. He shouted and shouted again, his high voice piercing through the rain. Ryeowook was breaking. And there was nothing I was able to do.

“Ryeowook…”

“Just leave me alone, Kyu!” Ryeowook hissed. “You never bothered anyway all this time! So just leave me alone!”

I didn’t know how long I stared at my best friend. I just stared. I just watched as Kim Ryeowook, the sunshine, the innocent pure kid, the endorphin of Super Junior crumbled down. I fell to my knees to next to Ryeowook, everything just crashing down, everything hitting me right in my gut. My best friend was dying. He was leaving. I was never ever going to see or hear from him again.

“I’m sorry, Ryeowook.” I whispered.  “I’m sorry I pushed you away.”

Ryeowook finally looked at me, his wet bangs now covering his eyes. He pushed the bangs away, rubbing his eyes angrily. He screamed and pushed me hard and I fell back, my hitting the ground hard.

“Why did you push me away, Kyu?! Why!?” Ryeowook yelled. “You, of all people! I never expected you to do that to me! You’re my best friend! What happened to magnaes on top!? What happened to those promises we made together when we were roommates? You just stopped c
