Yonghwa blinks his eyes as he stares on the ceiling.

“Aishh. Why do we have to live separately? I’m used to see her before I sleep.”

He turns to lie down on his side.

Yonghwa frowns.

Shinhye had gone back to her parent’s house last two days.

He was asked to stay in Yunhee’s house for the time being.

They were not going to see each other till the day of the wedding.

“Why there have to be such tradition?”

He mumbles while scrolling on his phone to see her picture.

“Shin ah. Do you know how much I want to hold you and kiss you right now?”

“I know.”

Yonghwa bites his lips when Jonghyun laughs.

“Aish hyung. What’s with the eavesdropping?”

 Jonghyun sits on the bed while Yonghwa shifted his position.

“Well, how is it going?”

“You can see it yourself right hyung? I think mom is being ridiculous.”

Jonghyun chuckles.

“We can’t see each other for a whole month before we got married before.”

“Really hyung?”

Jonghyun nods.

“That’s why you have to be thankful.”

“But your case is different hyung. You and noona meet rarely. But we had used to live under the same roof.”

“True but it is a different scenario; before and after marriage. You need the sparks Yong.”

Yonghwa sighs in defeated.

“What else can I do? I just need to wait.”

Jonghyun pats his shoulder.

“You do need to wait.”

“By the way hyung, why are you here. I mean, it’s late already.”

“I want to drink some water but I saw you left the door ajar, so I come to check on you.”

“I had used to do that there.”

Yonghwa sighs before he palms his face.

“Don’t look so pathetic Yong. It’s not like you have to be apart for months. It’s just two weeks.”

Jonghyun smiles and rose from the bed.

“Sleep. Its 2.00 a.m. already.”

“I’ll try hyung.”

“Nite Yong.”

“Night hyung.”

Yonghwa smiles when Jonghyun closes his bedroom’s door.

“Should I call you baby?”

He thinks for a while and make a decision to call her.

He doesn’t need to wait long because Shinhye answers it right away.

“I miss you.”

They said simultaneously which led themto crack a laugh.

“Still not sleeping?”

Yonghwa asks Shinhye with a smile.

“I can’t sleep.”

She answers in a low voice.

“Nado.”

He sighs.

“I’ve been thinking of you Shin ah.”

“Me too Yong. I even left my door ajar.”

She chuckles.

“I did the same.”

Yonghwa grins when he remembers Shinhye always left her door ajar on rainy days.

She is afraid of heavy rain.

She will feel secure if only she did not close her door.

“Can we sneak out to meet Yongie?”

Yonghwa smiles when he heard her cute pleading voice.

“I would love too chagiya. But you know how our mother will act right?”

Shinhye nods as if Yonghwa can see her.

“Are you sleepy?”

“No. I’ve been doing yoga for the past hour. I listen to music and even counting Mary’s lamb but these eyes were stubborn. I haven’t sleep well too yesterday.”

“Shin ah. We need sleep very much.”

Yonghwa smiles.

“But you are not sleeping too.”

“I need good night kiss.”

“Me too. And I need good night hug.”

Shinhye giggles.

“Don’t you think we are exaggerating things Yongie?”

“We are baby.”

Yonghwa chuckles.

“But what can I do? I had fallen hard for you. No one else matter other than you.”

He said it with melody.

“Can you sing for me honey?”

“Do you want me to sing for you? Which song?”

“The proposal song. I think I can sleep after I listen to it.”

Yonghwa smiles.

“I’ll grab my guitar. Wait a minute neh chagi.”

“Deh.”

Yonghwa put his phone on speaker mode and starts strumming his guitar to the song.

He sang it in low beat for it to sound like a lullaby.

“I think I can sleep now chagiya.”

Shinhye said after few moments while she yawns.

“I should sleep too then.”

“Deh. You should yeobo.”

She giggles before Yonghwa heard her yawn again.

“Sleep princess.”

“You too my prince.”

Yonghwa ended the call and put his guitar on the bed side.

He smiles and closes his eyes while he imagining Shinhye’s calm sleeping face before he too drifted to sleep.

“You are not in bed when I wake up to make Haru’s milk.”

Jonghyun kisses her forehead and smiles before he sits on the bed.

“I went to drink some water when I saw your brother mumbling alone.”

Yunhee stops folding the blanket and laughs.

“Yong did? Aigoo.”

“Don’t laugh at him yeobo.”

Yunhee nods while smiling.

“I don’t know what’s going on with this boy. He loves like crazy.”

Jonghyun chuckles.

“He is an ambitious guy. He loves like crazy, he hates like crazy, he works like crazy. Nothing is weird yeobo.”

“Oppa. You know everything.”

Jonghyun grins, showing his handsome dimple.

“I’ve been watching them since they are in high school yeobo. I know them pretty good.”

“Ohh. Look at you. I know them since I was a kid oppa.”

Yunhee laughs and carries Haru out of her cot.

“I’ll make breakfast. So, take the honor of bathing our princess neh.”

“Arasseo. Come Haru, appa will bathe you neh.”

Jonghyun chuckles as he walks to the bathroom.

“I’ll put her things on the bed oppa.”

“Deh.”

Yunhee smiles and walks to the kitchen.

“Shin ah. Eat up. It’s getting cold.”

“Omma.”

Mrs. Park look at her.

“Wae?”

Shinhye scoffed.

“Don’t you think you are being mean?”

Mrs. Park laughs.

“That I won’t let you guys meet?”

Shinhye nods with a pout.

“Just endure it. We did a mistake in letting you guys live together before.”

“Aishh omma. That is not a thing to be regret of.”

“You are right. You won’t be so in love if you are not living together.”

Mrs. Park smiles.

“But you need to be away before the marriage. It’s our tradition.”

“Can’t we just see each other for 5 minutes?”

“Listen to your omma baby girl.”

Shinhye pouts again.

“I can’t?”

She asks with puppy eyes.

They shake their heads in unison.

“Just listen to us neh.”

“I don’t have choices.”

Shinhye said as she eats a spoonful of rice in defeated.
