“We will be having a transfer student today. I hope everyone will give her full cooperation.”

“Deh teacher.”

The class answers in rhythm.

“Miss Park, you can come in.”

The class mesmerized by her appearance. She is really pretty. The pony tail with cute pink flower clip makes her cuter. She smiles as she bows to the whole class and starts introducing herself.

“Annyeonghaseyo, I’m Park Shinhye. I will be studying together with all of you starting today and I hope that you all will welcome me. I am one of the top students in my last school and I hope we can study together in a very happy atmosphere.”

She bows and earns applauses and praises from the class.

“Top student?”

Yonghwa smirks.

“You can’t beat me new student.”

He whispers to himself and look at her appearance with a raised eyebrow.

“Okay Miss Park, you can sit at the empty table there.”

The teacher said while pointing to the table beside Yonghwa.

Shinhye bows to the teacher and walks to sit beside Yonghwa.

She held out her hand to Yonghwa for a handshake.

“Hi, I’m Park Shinhye.”

Yonghwa focuses his eyes to the front without glancing at her.

“I heard that.”

Shinhye stops smiling and turn her head to the black board.

“He’s not of a friendly one I guess.”

“My childhood friend.”

11 years old Yonghwa sighs but nods.

“I’ll change my uniform first.”

“Deh Yongie.”

Yonghwa change into a nicer clothes and walks down.

“I’m ready mom.”

“Let’s go neh. Yunhee ah, palli.”

“Coming mom.”

“Noona is coming? So, why should I come?”

“Aigoo Yongie,your noona need to go for tuition. We’ll send her on our way.”

Mrs. Jung ruffles Yonghwa’s hair.

“Yunhee.”

“Coming mom.”

“Palli, we will wait in the car neh.”

“Deh.”

“Ye Jin ah.”

“Unni. You arrived?”

Mrs. Jung smiles.

“Deh. I brought my son.”

“Oh annyeong. I’m Ye Jin ahjumma. I’m your mom’s childhood friend.”

“Annyeonghaseyo ahjumma.”

Yonghwa answers with a bow.

“Aigoo. He is so cute.”

“Gomawoyo Ye Jin ah.  Where is your daughter?”

“She is in her room. She was doing her homework. Wait for a while unni, I’ll call her down. Sit down first.”

Yonghwa nudge his mom’s hand.

“Mom, ahjumma resembles someone I know.”

“Chinca? Dugu?”

“I can’t remember, but she is very similar.”

Mrs. Jung smiles.

“Maybe you saw ahjumma in my album.”

“Maybe.”

He answers shortly.

Mrs. Park walks down after a while with Shinhye.

“This is my daughter, Shinhye.”

“Oh, so cute. She looks exactly like you Ye Jin ah.”

“Chinca unni?”

“Deh. What class are you in dear?”

“I’m in class 5S ahjumma.”

“Chinca? It’s Yong’s class.”

Mrs. Jung taps Yonghwa’s shoulder.

“Yongie, so you know her?”

Yonghwa nods.

“She is the new transfer student.”

“Gurae? So, you can be friends right? Yonghwa ya, please look after her neh.”

Mrs. Park said while smiling sweetly at him.

Yonghwa just smiles slightly.

“Shinnie ya, what if you show Yonghwa around the house?”

Shinhye nods reluctantly while smiling at Yonghwa half-heartedly.

“You don’t have to look after me. I can look after myself.”

Shinhye said when they walk on the second floor.

Yonghwa chuckles.

“As if I want to. Look here Park, I don’t like you.”

Shinhye turn to him and crosses her hand in front of her chest.

“I don’t like you too Jung. You are irritating. Too show off. I heard about you and your popularity. I’m going to take it down.”

Yonghwa looks at her angrily.

“Mworago? Are you challenging me?”

Shinhye smirks.

“I’m not. I'm just reminding you. Don’t cry if I beat you for the next examination.”

Yonghwa laughs.

“Not even in your dream Park.”

He walks down after he looks at her from head to toe.

Shinhye walks quickly from the washroom after she spends quiet some time in it.

She accidentally bumps into someone on her way to the party venue.

“Yah, watch your step.”

The guy said while looking at his clothes.

“Luckily you didn’t ruin my shirt.”

Shinhye crosses her arms and stares at him with a boring look.

“Yah, stop exaggerating. I just bump slightly. It won’t break your ribs.”

Yonghwa laughs and put his hand into his jean’s pockets.

“With that body of yours, I’m afraid my liver will be damage too. I should consult a doctor after this.”

Shinhye laughs and starts sniffing around.

“What is this bad smell? Oh, there is a very big smelly trash in front of me. I better go now.”

She flips her hair and walks passes him with a satisfy grin.

There isn’t a complicated reason actually but sometimes it happens when you are so competitive..

You will come to hate someone better than you..
