“Oppa, why are you pairing them up for the project?”

Jonghyun chuckles and holds Yunhee’s hand.

“I just want to see them work together.”

“Is that it? Your reason?”

Jonghyun nods.

“Let’s sit there.”

Yunhee nods and they walk to a bench.

“I don’t think they hate each other chagi.”

“Why did you say that oppa?”

“They just want to win over each other. It’s not hate, it’s a competitive nature. Yong is a bright student since his early education and Shinhye is a genius. She is pampered by family and when someone treat her like she doesn’t’ exist makes her feel triggered. She wants to show the person that he is lower than her; that is when she starts to be competitive. As Mrs. Park said, she wasn’t like this in her past school. It applies on Yong too. He wasn’t as competitive like this when he is younger right?  That’s make me confirm that they just being competitive. It’s not hatred. There wasn’t reason for them to hate each other.”

Yunhee nods and smiles.

“Teachers are different right oppa.  You can conclude their attitude simply. You just met the parents last week and their simple reason about the kids’ make you think quickly. Oppa, you are awesome!”

Jonghyun shows his handsome dimple smile and hugs Yunhee’s shoulder.

“Just wait, the competitiveness between them will disappear one day.”

Yunhee nods and leans her head on Jonghyun’s shoulder.

“Drink this before you sleep neh.”

“Deh omma. Kamsahamnida.”

Mrs. Park smiles.

“Not done yet?”

“I just need to summaries the history and I’m done. Jung will do the rest.”

Mrs. Park shakes her head.

“Can’t you call him Yonghwa dear?”

Shinhye pouts.

“Shirreo. He is the one who call me Park first.”

“Arasseo. Don’t stay up late.”

Shinhye nods and smiles.

Mrs. Park kisses her hair and walks out of her room.

“Done?”

Shinhye smiles smugly.

Yonghwa smirks and took the papers from her hands. He flips it and nods.

“I’ll compile it and delivered it to Mr. Lee. So, we shouldn’t have any conversation again right?”

Shinhye flips her hair.

“As if I’m dying to talk to you Jung.”

She walks out of the IT lab.

Yonghwa laughs at her style of walking and continues to give the projects his last touch.

“That’s it right Mr. Lee. Tell me if it still has something lacking.”

“I’ll see to it after my class. I’ll let you know if there is something unfinished.”

Yonghwa nods.

“I’m going to my class Mr. Lee.”

“Okay.”

Jonghyun smiles and look at Yonghwa’s back.

“This kid.”

He shakes his head and gets his notebook before he walks to his class.

Yonghwa was tuning his guitar at the backstage. His turn is next. Hongki walks and sit in front of him.

“Yah, nervous?”

He shows his toothy grins.

“A bit.”

“Jung Yonghwa is nervous?”

Hongki chuckles.

“Don’t let Shin hear you. She will make fun of you.”

“Ara. The witch is not here.”

Hongki laughs.

“You must miss her when the school ends.”

“Ani. Why should I?”

Yonghwa said while showing an irritated face. He always show that expression whenever Hongki talks about shinhye.

“Because you don’t have someone to make fun of, you don’t have someone to throw a prank on.”

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll be more at peace. I don’t have to think if my gym clothes is dirty or something wrong with my car.”

Hongki laughs.

“Are you going to debut after the results come out?”

Yonghwa nods.

“I had received a call from quiet popular entertainment company.”

“Chinca? Daebak. Congrates Yong.”

Yonghwa smiles.

“Gomawo.”

“Yonghwa, are you ready, it will be your turn next.”

“I’m ready. Thank you.”

Yonghwa turns to Hongki.

“Ready?”

He nods.

“Let’s do this.”

“It’s Yongie.”

“He is so charming on stage right unni.”

“Deh. That’s why I love seeing him on stage. It’s his passion. He loves guitar.”

“Guitar suits him unni.”

Mrs. Jung nods.

“I’m nervous for Shin. She did not landed properly after that jump. Is she okay?”

“She is okay unni. I’ve check on her earlier.”

“Chinca?”

Mrs. Park nods.

Yonghwa starts to strum his guitar and gain applauses from the audience.

With Hongki’s piano accompanying him, his performance was wonderful. It’s like he perform in his own concert. He is full of energy and he sang the song energetically.

“He is good.”

Jin Young said while staring at the mesmerizing Yonghwa.

Shinhye took a glance at him before she looks at her nails.

“What’s so good? Everyone can sing like that. Hongki can sing better.”

“Shin, seriously? What will happen if you just agree with me?”

Shinhye shrugs.

“If it is Jung, it’s a big no Jin Young.”

Jin Young sighs.

“Stubborn Shin.”

She continues fixing her eyes on Yonghwa who was now singing I’m Yours by Jason Mraz.

“Oww.”

“Stop fangirling in front of me.”

“Stop caring about me Shin. I’m focusing.”

“I’m going to washroom.”

Shinhye stands up and walks to the washroom in irritate.

“What’s so good? He just strums the guitar. I can sing better.”

She mumbles as she walks to reduce her nervousness about the points that she will get. She did a small mistake during her performance. It was small but it was big enough for a person that wants everything she does to be perfect like her.

“What if I lose to Jung again?”

“You lose.”

Hongki said slowly.

“Again.”

Shinhye sighs.

“Ara. I lose even now.”

“Stop being competitive Shin. It will only make you feel down.”

She sighs again.

“I just want to win over him once.”

“But you still won in your category.”

“Less 5 points than Jung? I won’t be satisfied.”

“Come on, cheer up. You like ice cream right? Eat up. You’ve been playing with it since we got our order.”

Shinhye sighs again.

“He must be happy.”

“Yonghwa?”

Shinhye nods.

Hongki smiles.

“I won’t comment on that.”

“You know he is. He must be the happiest for winning over me every time.”

Shinhye pouts.

“You know that right. Don’t talk about it now.”

Hongki took Shinhye’s hand and put the spoon in her hand.

“Eat.”

Shinhye nods and savor her favorite green tea ice cream that had slowly melt.
