Yonghwa chuckles when he saw Shinhye’s outfit.

“Wae?”

“WE are going out Park. What’s with that outfit?”

Shinhye looks at her outfit. A jacket, scarf and glasses. Nothing wrong.

“It’s fine.”

“But it’s hot.”

Yonghwa walks close to her and removes her glasses. He smiles and removes her scarf.

“That’s better.”

Shinhye bites her lower lips, trying to calm the thumping of her heart. The way Yonghwa removes her scarf while gazing at her almost makes her melt.

She steps back and smiles.

“Can we go now?”

Yonghwa smirk and nods.

“Deh.”

“Where should we go?”

Shinhye asks when they were in his car.

“You choose.”

Shinhye nods.

“I’ll choose the most expensive food.”

Yonghwa smiles and pinch her cheek.

“Eat a lot since I’m buying.”

Shinhye blush at his gesture and turns her view outside the window.

Yonghwa keeps smiling at her cute reaction.

“I hope you will fall for me too Shin ah.”

He thoughts with a light heart.

“Sushi this late?”

Shinhye laughs.

“I feel like eating ice cream but I can’t. I have a recording for CF tomorrow. Need to sing. So, sushi is better.”

Yonghwa chuckles.

“What song is it?”

“Just 30 seconds song. Three lines.”

“You had practiced?”

“I practiced it long before. Now I’m good at it.”

Shinhye smiles and drink some water.

“Ahh, its hot here.”

“That’s why you should not wear that scarf.”

Yonghwa laughs and leans on his chair.

“Deh. Thanks to you.”

Shinhye grins.

“The food comes late. I’m starving.”

“Yah, don’t you eat before?”

Shinhye wrinkles her forehead.

“Ahh, I had some macaroons.”

“When?”

Yonghwa asks with a serious expression.

“After the shooting. When I saw Yunhee unni.”

Yonghwa took her hands and holds it.

“Why didn’t you tell me you haven’t eaten? We can share the kimbap.”

Shinhye smiles as she gaze at their hands.

“Kenchana. We will eat in a while.”

“You can’t do sport with empty stomach.”

“Ara Jung nim.”

Shinhye chuckles and pulls her hands as the waiter comes with their order.

“Kamsahamnida.”

She said while smiling brightly.

The waiter bows to them and leaves.

“Let’s eat Yonghwa.”

Yonghwa smiles and put the chopstick in her hand.

“Eat a lot girlfriend.”

Shinhye laughs and enjoys her food.

Yonghwa stares at her in amusement.

“Oh God she is so beautiful.”

Shinhye sense that he wasn’t eating. She lifts her head from enjoying her food and look at him.

“Why aren’t you eating?”

“I’m full.”

“Wae?”

“Molla. I’m just full.”

Yonghwa took one of his sushi and put it in her plate.

“Eat.”

He smiles.

“Yah. How can I eat this much.”

“You eat a lot darling.”

Shinhye blush. His whisper sounds y to her.

“Wae? Shy? I’ll keep your secret.”

Yonghwa drinks his water and excuses himself.

“I’m going to the washroom.”

Shinhye nods.

He taps her hand and walks with a smile and took out his phone.

“You are here?”

He smiles and ended the call before he heads out of the restaurant.

“What took you this long? I almost finish.”

Shinhye asks with a glare.

Yonghwa smiles.

“Sorry Shinhye.”

“It’s okay.”

“Can we go now?”

Shinhye nods.

“Are you tired?”

Yonghwa asks her when they are on their way.

“Not that tired. Wae?”

“Let’s go to another place first.”

Shinhye wrinkles her forehead.

“Where?”

“Secret.”

“Tchh. Arasseo. Makes sure it’s not a boring place.”

“It’s not.”

Yonghwa turns his direction. He was going to gives her a surprise.

“Wait up my Shin. You will definitely like it.”

He grins as he focuses his eyes on the road.

“Yah. What’s with the blindfold?”

Shinhye asks when suddenly Yonghwa put a blindfold on her on their way.

“Just trusts me.”

Yonghwa hugs her shoulder and leads their way to his said place when they arrived.

“Sits here. No peeking.”

“Aisshh Jung.”

Shinhye anyways obey to his request. Not rebelling or whining like a little girl.

“Why do I feel nervous? Omo, is he? Ani, why would he. He is just a friend.”

She shrugs off her thought and taps her feet as he waited for Yonghwa. She rubs her hand as she feels the cold breeze.

“Are we in some sort of river?”

Yonghwa came few minutes after. He sits beside Shinhye and leans onto her ears.

“Ready?”

He whispers which makes her shiver again.

She nods.

Yonghwa untie the blindfold and Shinhye is revealed with a cake, flowers and boxes of gifts.

She turns to Yonghwa.

“Birthday?”

Yonghwa nods.

“I won’t be here on your birthday, so I made this.”

Shinhye was touched. She really is.

“But you don’t have to.”

“I wanted to Shinhye ah. I’m sincere when I say I want to befriend with you.”

“I believe you Yonghwa ya. You shouldn’t have to.”

“Aishh. Stop talking. It’s embarrassing to ask my coordi noona to buy this flower.”

He said rubbing his nape.

“Why are you this sweet Jung Yonghwa?”

She asks her while wiping her tears away.

Shinhye has lots of people to celebrate her birthday. The nations celebrates her birthday for her every year but the way Yonghwa throw that surprise party makes her feels happy. Too happy. His little gesture flutters her heart.  Even there is no one else except them, its feels special.

She hugs Yonghwa, as tight as she could; sobbing on his shoulder. He gladly hugs her and caresses her back.

“You supposed to beam with happiness, not sobbing like this.”

“I’m touched chinca.”

“I know.”

Shinhye releases him and punches his lightly on his chest.

“I have a shooting at morning.”

“Sorry.”

“It’s embarrassing. I turned into a cry baby.”

Yonghwa chuckles at her cuteness.

“Shall we light the candles?”

Shinhye nods.

Yonghwa light up the candles and asks Shinhye to make a wish before she blows it.

Shinhye cuts her cake and feed them into Yonghwa’s mouth.

Yonghwa too take a piece of it and he feeds her.

Yonghwa smiles as he took the bouquet.

“For you.”

Shinhye smiles and kiss the flowers.

“Gomawo.”

“You should smell it not kiss it.”

“I can’t kiss you, so I kiss the flowers.”

“Why you can’t?”

Yonghwa asks with a teasing smile. Shinhye just shakes her head while she smiles.

“My presents?”

Yonghwa nods.

“All of that is for you. Brags to them so that they will know how thoughtful your boyfriend is.”

Shinhye laughs.

“Yah Jung. Are you throwing this party for me to show off?”

Yonghwa laughs.

“Aniya. I’m just joking.”

Shinhye giggles.

“Ara.”

She savors the scents of the roses once again.

“Chinca gomawo Jung. I’m very happy.”

Yonghwa ruffles her hair and winks at her.

“I’m happy too.”

“Let’s clean this up. You should sleep.”

“Deh.”

Shinhye put down her bouquet to help but she is stopped by Yonghwa.

“Keeps holding the bouquet. I’ll clean this up.”

Shinhye smiles at her friend’s sweetness and nods.

Yonghwa puts her presents in a bag and she holds the cake in his hand.

“Kaja.”

Shinhye nods and links her arm on Yonghwa’s when they walk to his car.

“Jung.”

Yonghwa glances at her when he puts the bag in the backseat.

“Wae?”

“Can we stroll along the river?”

“You are not tired?”

Shinhye shakes her head and grins.

“Not yet.”

Yonghwa closes the door and holds her hand.

“Let’s go like this. There are lots of people there.”

Shinhye smiles.

“Deh chingu.”

Yonghwa smiles a bit.

“Deh, that is what you are Yonghwa. Her friend.”

He squeezes her hand and walks with his “friend” along the Han river.

Yonghwa was silent. Shinhye too.

Yonghwa doesn’t smile, but Shinhye smiles all along. She is happy, she is hyped that she doesn’t feel tired at all. Even though her legs were killing her when she took her shower, it doesn’t hurt anymore. The time they spent today seems different.

Basketball date.

Sushi date.

Surprise party.

And strolls along the Han River.

“Why am I this happy?”

She glances at Yonghwa and saw his gloomy face.

Shinhye stops walking which makes Yonghwa stops on his track too.

“Wae?”

He asked while he furrows his eyebrows.

“Are you okay?”

She asks with concern.

Yonghwa sighs and smiles a bit.

“I’m fine. Waeyo?”

“Do you want to go back? Are you tired? We can just go home.”

Yonghwa caresses her cheek and shakes his head.

“I’m fine.”

Shinhye caught his hand on her face and pouts.

“Are you sure?”

He chuckles at her reaction and leans forward.

"How can I be sad when she is with me?"

He thought and kisses her lips long before he releases it.

“I told you before; don’t pout when we are in public.”

Shinhye slaps his arm and bites her lower lips.

“Don’t do it again.”

“Don’t pout at me again.”

He said and drags her along while he walks with a fluttering heart.

Shinhye’s lips curl into a smile with his gestures.

She doesn’t feel annoyed by his sudden kiss again. She enjoying it.

She clutches her thumping heart when she remembers the way he kissed her earlier.

“Here we go again.”
