“It’s nice outside,” Seohyun said while opening the curtains on the window. “Today will be a good day to meet Eomma and Appa,” Seohyun smiled.

“Annyeonghaseyo, Miss. Seo,” the maid bowed.

“Mrs. Kim,” Seohyun bowed.

“It’s eight o’clock in the morning…would you like some breakfast?” Mrs. Kim asked.

“I can make it,” Seohyun smiled.

“But…” Mrs. Kim said.

“When will Mrs. Cho and Kyuhyun wake up?” Seohyun asked.

“Mrs. Cho left already and Mr. Cho wakes up around noon,” Mrs. Kim said.

“Oh…” Seohyun sighed and went to the bathroom. After taking a shower and getting ready she went downstairs and started cooking.

“Mrs. Kim, why are you cooking so early?” Kyuhyun asked while rubbing his eyes.

“It’s me,” Seohyun said.

“WHOA! What are you doing?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Cooking breakfast…do you want some?” Seohyun asked.

“No...It’s okay. I’m going to go get ready,” Kyuhyun replied and ran upstairs.

“Maybe I should pack something,” Seohyun said and started cooking.

“Ready to go?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Ne,” Seohyun smiled. “I need to go get something,” she added and ran upstairs. Seohyun ran back downstairs after a few minutes with something that made Kyuhyun smiled.

“My backpack,” Kyuhyun smiled widely.

“Oh…Yeah,” Seohyun replied.

“Do you…like it?” Kyuhyun asked.

“It’s nice,” Seohyun told him.

“Good…now are you ready to go?” Kyuhyun asked. Seohyun nodded and the two left and got into their car.

“I need to stop by the flower shop first,” Seohyun said.

“Are you just going to buy flowers?” Kyuhyun asked.

“That’s what I usually do,” Seohyun told him.

“Okay,” Kyuhyun said as his stomach growled.

“Are you hungry?” Seohyun asked.

“No…” Kyuhyun lied.

“Here,” Seohyun said as she gave Kyuhyun something wrapped in foil.

“What is it?” Kyuhyun asked when they stopped at a red light.

“Goguma,” Seohyun told him.

“Goguma?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Sweet potatoes…” Seohyun looked at him.

“Oh,” Kyuhyun nodded and started eating it.

“Is it good?” Seohyun asked.

“Yeah!” Kyuhyun exclaimed.

“Good,” Seohyun smiled.

“Do you like goguma?” Kyuhyun asked.

“It’s my favorite ever since I was a child,” Seohyun explained.

“Goguma is your favorite food?” Kyuhyun questioned.

“Yes,” Seohyun nodded happily.

“That’s…weird,” Kyuhyun laughed.

“How?” Seohyun asked.

“Nothing, we’re at the flower shop,” Kyuhyun said.

“Eomma loves orchids,” Seohyun smiled while picking out some lilies.

“What about your dad?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Of course he likes orchids because Eomma does,” Seohyun said.

“What about you?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Lilies,” Seohyun replied and went to the check out desk.

“I see,” Kyuhyun nodded. “I will pay,” he said while taking out his wallet.

“No, it’s my parents,” Seohyun said and quickly paying.

“Seriously?” Kyuhyun asked when he saw Seohyun money all over the bag.

“What?” Seohyun asked.

“You only paid half of it,” Kyuhyun pointed.

“Oh,” Seohyun said while looking through her bag.

“Here,” Kyuhyun said and paid the lady.

“Have a nice day,” she smiled as the two left.

“I said I would pay!” Seohyun said while getting in the car.

“You don’t even have enough money for two bouquets of flowers,” Kyuhyun told her.

“It’s because…I haven’t found a job,” Seohyun muttered.

“Job? Why would you need a job? You’re living with us for free and going to school for free,” Kyuhyun said.

“I need money to buy myself things…it’s not right to use Mrs. Cho and your money all the time,” Seohyun explained.

“Look,” Kyuhyun said when they stopped at a red light.

“You have to turn right here,” Seohyun pointed out.

“And…Tomorrow…when we go together, I will do a lot of things for you,” Kyuhyun said while turning onto the next street.

“A lot of things?” Seohyun asked.

“Mhm,” Kyuhyun nodded.

“Like what?” Seohyun asked.

“You will see,” Kyuhyun told her.

“Eomma, Appa,” Seohyun bowed when she got to the grave. Kyuhyun was sitting nearby while watching Seohyun. “I got you some orchids, Eomma’s favorite flowers,” Seohyun smiled and put it down.

“Is everything fine? I’m sorry for not visiting you lately. It’s because I was busy with work,” Seohyun said while kneeling down.

“But now I’m living with Mrs. Cho and her nephew Kyuhyun. She’s the President of Seoul University,” Seohyun smiled. “You don’t have to worry about me; I know you are watching over me. She bought me a lot of clothes I never imagined I would wear. She let me go to school and stay at her house for free. I don’t know how to repay her,” Seohyun said.

“Eomma…Appa, I will come back again, I promise,” Seohyun said and bowed. “I have to go now, Kyuhyun shi is waiting for me,” Seohyun said and got up and bowed again.

“You can stay longer,” Kyuhyun told her.

“It’s okay…Bye,” Seohyun and Kyuhyun bowed.

“So…Where do you want to go?” Kyuhyun asked.

“It’s up to you,” Seohyun said.

“Then to the music room!” Kyuhyun exclaimed.

“It’s dark,” Seohyun said while walking towards the window.

“Don’t open the curtains!” Kyuhyun shouted.

“Why not?” Seohyun asked.

“Because…We’re not supposed to be here,” Kyuhyun coughed.

“But…doesn’t it belong to the school?” Seohyun asked.

“No…” Kyuhyun said.

“Then who does it belong to?” Seohyun asked.

“It belongs to Aunt,” Kyuhyun said.

“Mrs. Cho?” Seohyun asked.

“Her…Her husband designed this music room,” Kyuhyun said.

“Where is he?” Seohyun asked.

“Up there,” Kyuhyun pointed to the sky.

“Oh…But why aren’t we allowed here?” Seohyun asked.

“It brings back bad memories for her. And she said that it was no use for the school so she wanted to sell it, but…she never did and just left it abandoned for years, but I come here now,” Kyuhyun explained.

“Oh…Why?” Seohyun asked.

“Why do I come here?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Ne,” Seohyun nodded.

“This was where I let out my anger,” Kyuhyun said. “Uncle past away when I was seven or eight…After that my parents pasted away, and I came here,” Kyuhyun explained.

“I see,” Seohyun said and sat down.

“My parents,” Kyuhyun muttered.

“I know how you feel,” Seohyun smiled.

“I know you want to be a doctor because of your dad. Music because of your mom,” Kyuhyun told her.

“You never told me why you wanted to be a lawyer,” Seohyun told him.

“Because…” Kyuhyun started.

Flashback:

“Eomma and Appa are going to go to the company okay?” Kyuhyun’s mom smiled.

“Ne,” Ten year old Kyuhyun nodded.

“He’s up to it again,” Mr. Cho muttered.

“What is it?” Mrs. Cho(Kyuhyun’s mom) asked.

“I think he’s messing us up again,” Mr. Cho shook his head.

“It’s my entire fault,” Mrs. Cho (Kyuhyun’s mom) said.

“No, that was years ago, don’t worry,” Mr. Cho said as the two left the house.

“Auntie,” Kyuhyun said while sitting in Mrs. Cho’s (Aunt) car.

“Yes?” Mrs. Cho answered.

“Is Eomma and Appa both at the company?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Yes,” Mrs. Cho smiled as the two got out of the car.

“Auntie…what is that?” Kyuhyun asked while pointing to the company.

“I fire!!!” Mrs. Cho cried and ran to the company.

“I’m sorry but please stay out here,” the firefighter said.

“But my brother in law and his wife are in there!” Mrs. Cho shouted.

“We know, we will get them out,” the firefighter told her. Kyuhyun’s eyes filled with tears as he looked around.

“Where are Eomma and Appa?” Kyuhyun asked while shaking Mrs. Cho’s arm.

“Kyuhyun,” she said with tears in her eyes. “They’re…They’re gone,”

“Gone?” Kyuhyun asked.

“Both sides explain,” the judge said. Ten year old Kyuhyun was sitting in the audience watching the case. His aunt suspected the killer and wanted to sew him and make him go to jail for what he did.

“He…He killed my in laws!!” Mrs. Cho shouted.

“Please calm down,” the judge demanded.

“Years ago, my sister in law was arranged to marry him,” Mrs. Cho said while pointing to the man on the other side of the court. “But she didn’t want to marry him because she loved my brother in law. No matter what she did, it was an arranged marriage, until finally her parents agreed for her to marry my brother in law. This man hated my brother in law. He would always try to ruin the company and then he burned it!!!!” Mrs. Cho cried.

“Objection!” the other lawyer shouted.

“Where’s your proof?” the man asked. “Where’s your evidence?” he asked.

“This case is closed…Mrs. Cho you are wrong, and he is innocent,” the judge said and left.

When everyone left the room, it was only the man, Mrs. Cho and Kyuhyun left.

“You killed my Appa and Eomma!!!” Kyuhyun screamed.

“You…You lied in court!” Mrs. Cho cried.

“Maybe I did…But I got away with it. You don’t have any proof that I did it. I did it…I did,” the man smirked and left. Kyuhyun clenched his fist.

“Kyuhyun,” Mrs. Cho called.

“The lawyers can’t do anything!!!” Kyuhyun cried and threw his things and ran off.

“I’m sorry,” Seohyun said.

“It’s nothing…it was years ago,” Kyuhyun said while wiping his tears.

“So you want to be a lawyer to prove that man guilty?” Seohyun asked.

“I want people to realize who is innocent and who is guilty…but…I don’t know,” Kyuhyun shook his head.

“It’s okay…you can do it,” Seohyun told him.

“Really?” Kyuhyun asked.

“I believe in you,” Seohyun nodded.

“Thank you,” Kyuhyun smiled.

“Well…do you want to do anything?” Seohyun asked.

“How about…you play the piano for me,” Kyuhyun pointed to the piano.

“Piano?” Seohyun asked.

“Yeah…what do you know how to play?” Kyuhyun asked while reaching for her hand.

“A lot of things,” Seohyun told him.

“Like?” he asked and placed her down on the seat.

“Ummm…Do you know this song?” Seohyun asked and started playing a song.

“Then…why didn’t you tell the music teacher you can sing?” Seohyun asked.

“Because, music class doesn’t officially start till near winter,” Kyuhyun laughed.

“Oh yeah…” Seohyun muttered.

“Starting near winter, you know we can’t be in the same class, right?” Kyuhyun asked.

“What do you mean?” Seohyun asked.

“I would have to go to my law class and you have to go to your medical class,” Kyuhyun explained.

“Oh yeah…” Seohyun sighed.

“Is that a sad face I see?” Kyuhyun asked.

“No,” Seohyun said.

“Then what’s wrong?” Kyuhyun said as he stood next to where she was sitting.

“Nothing,” Seohyun smiled.

“That’s a fake smile,” Kyuhyun laughed.

“What if you don’t study when I’m not in your class?” Seohyun asked.

“Aish, I will,” Kyuhyun said.
