“Milk delivery finish,” Seohyun smiled while riding her bike towards the grocery store. “Annyeonghaseyo,” Seohyun greeted the owner.

“It’s 6:15, you were supposed to be here at six,” the owner said.

“I’m sorry, there was traffic,” Seohyun bowed.

“Next time this happens again, I won’t give you another chance,” the owner warned her and left.

Seohyun carefully moved the boxes of food to the place where it was supposed to be at. Soon it was already seven o’clock at night and she was ready to go and do her next job.

“Aigoo,” a lady said when she stepped out of the car. She was walking around when she saw a mascot that looked like a girl walking around.

“Annyeonghaseyo,” the mascot greeted.

“Hello,” she said and kept walking. Without realizing she tripped and fell.

“Auntie, are you okay?” the mascot ran over to her and took the head off.

“I’m fine,” she smiled.

“Let me help you,” the girl offered. The lady looked up and saw a girl with long brown hair and pretty skin.

“I’m fine,” she said when the girl helped her.

“Did you get hurt anywhere? I’m sorry, I must have dropped the balloon’s stick you slipped on,” the girl bowed.

“It’s late at night, what are you doing out this late?” she asked.

“It’s my night shift,” the girl smiled.

“Night shift?” she asked.

“Ne, I have to get back to work or else I will get in trouble,” the girl stood up and bowed to her.

“What’s your name?” the lady asked.

“Seo Joohyun but I go by Seohyun,” she smiled.

“Well, I’m Mrs. Cho,” the lady said.

“Ne,” Seohyun said and ran off.

“What a sweet and innocent girl, I wonder if she goes to the University,” Mrs. Cho said and left.

“Oppa~,” a girl called.

“What is it?” Kyuhyun asked while looking around.

“Isn’t that the President of the University?” the girl asked.

“My aunt!” Kyuhyun shouted when the lady got in the car.

“Oppa, I want to drink some fruit juice,” the girl whined.

“Seungyeon quit whining,” Kyuhyun told her. The two went to a nearby shop. Seungyeon got some fruit juice while Kyuhyun got some coffee. While the two were holding hands and flirting with each other, Kyuhyun got pushed into something.

“Would you like a balloon?” Seohyun asked a little boy.

“Ne,” the boy smiled.

“Here you go,” Seohyun smiled and kept walking. She was walking and didn’t realize a couple ahead of her.

Kyuhyun bumped into the mascot and spilled coffee all over her. He saw the girl’s shocked face when the head of the costume fell off.

“Oppa!!” Seungyeon shouted and ran to his side.

“Yah!!! Watch where you’re going!!” Kyuhyun shouted at Seohyun.

“I’m sorry,” Seohyun bowed.

“Are you blind?!” Seungyeon yelled.

“He was the one that…” Seohyun started.

“Now I spilled my coffee!!” Kyuhyun yelled.

“But this isn’t my costume and I will get in big trouble if I don’t have money to pay for it,” Seohyun told him.

“Then that’s your problem!!” Kyuhyun shouted.

“But you caused it,” Seohyun said politely.

“Do you want me to sue you?!!?” Kyuhyun yelled.

“Oppa, calm down,” Seungyeon said.

“Aish!! If I know who you are I would have ahhh!!” Kyuhyun shouted and walked off.

“Oppa!!” Seungyeon shouted and ran after in her heels.

“The costume,” Seohyun panicked while going into the restroom. “How will I clean it?” she asked while walking back and forth while holding the costume.

“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?!” the boss shouted.

“It wasn’t my fault…the guy,” Seohyun said.

“It doesn’t matter!!! You better pay for this!!!” the boss yelled.

“Right now I don’t have money, I have to pay for my college tuition,” Seohyun said.

“YOU WORK FOR ME!! I DON’T WORK FOR YOU!!!” the boss shouted.

“Please give me time,” Seohyun begged.

“GET OUT I DON’T NEED YOU!!!” the boss yelled.

“Please, I need the job,” Seohyun begged.

“THEN GO BEG YOUR OTHER BOSSES!!!” the boss said and pushed Seohyun out of the store.

“Ow,” Seohyun’s eyes filled with tears when she fell to the ground. “My elbow,” she said while blowing on it.

“I’m home,” Seohyun called.

“Welcome back,” the landlady said.

“Ne,” Seohyun bowed and headed to her room.

“When will you pay the rent?” the landlady asked.

“When I have the money,” Seohyun replied.

“Seohyun, you know how my family needs money right now,” the landlady said angrily.

“I know, but please give me time,” Seohyun begged.

“I will give you two more weeks,” the landlady said and left. Seohyun slowly walked to her room and sat on her bed.

“Eomma…Appa…I wish you were here,” Seohyun said with tears in her eyes.

Flashback:

“Eomma! I learned a new song today,” Little Seohyun said while holding a piano book.

“Really? Why don’t you play it for Eomma?” Mrs. Seo smiled. Seohyun started playing the piano.

“Good job, Eomma is so proud of you,” she said and picked her up.

“Eomma, in one week I will turn seven,” Seohyun said.

“Eomma knows, and she will have a big present for you,” Mrs. Seo laughed.

“I will play a beautiful song on my birthday…it’s a surprise,” Seohyun giggled.

“Eomma…” Seohyun called while walking out of piano class. “Eomma!”

“Seohyun…please stay here,” the teacher said.

“But my Eomma and Appa, it’s my birthday today,” Seohyun said.

“But your-,” before the teacher could say anything Seohyun ran outside.

“Eomma!!” Seohyun cried and ran to her side. “Eomma,”

“Seohyun…get up,” her dad said with red eyes.

“Appa! What happened to Eomma?!” Seohyun cried.

“S-She got hit by a truck,” her dad replied with tears.

“Eomma…wake up Eomma,” Seohyun cried. “Eomma!!”

~Few years later

“Joohyun,” her dad called.

“Ne Appa?” Seohyun said while closing the piano.

“Meet your new Eomma,” her dad said.

“New Eomma?” Ten year old Seohyun asked.

“Hello Seohyun,” the lady smiled.

“Say hello,” her dad demanded.

“Annyeonghaseyo,” Seohyun bowed.

“Stepmom, where’s Appa?” Seohyun asked.

“He’s…” The stepmom said.

“Where is he?” Seohyun asked and headed for the room.

“YAH!! GET BACK HERE!!” her stepmom shouted.
