The (sort of) fight
The boy who taught me how to feelWhen I arrived at the library, things definitely didn’t go as I anticipated.
Correction: I did not anticipate anything. No I didn’t.
In the private library room that Chan Yeol booked beforehand, he made me sit opposite So Eun while he stood beside her, facing me.
“Today is the start of ! So Eun is going to risk retaining in sophomore year if she doesn’t pass her mid-terms, so bright Ah Mi is going to tutor her, while I am the organizer of these tuitions. Isn’t that great!” He seemed very satisfied with his plans.
“Hold on, why are you deciding that for me?” I frowned.
“Because we are all friends now!”
“I don’t have time for that.”
“Ah Mi, since we’re friends now, shouldn’t we help each other?”
“I dislike weaklings, and even more when they ask for help. If she has bad grades, then work hard to achieve better ones. If she doesn’t, then she is obviously not trying her best.”
“Ya, Chon Eun Mi, why do you always carry such a cold attitude? Not everyone can achieve good grades just as you did, just because they try, do you know that? You should try helping others out in any possible way. If you keep pushing people away, you’ll never have friends.” He continued on while So Eun tried to stop him awkwardly.
“Listen up, I won’t have friends because I don’t need them.” I said coldly before stomping off.
