“But… why?” I don’t even know why I want to know the reason. I am sure I like Chan Yeol already, and whether Park Yong really likes me or not doesn’t change a thing. I guess curiousity always gets the better of me. I never thought Park Yong will like me (if he actually does), after all, I’ve never been exactly kind or nice to him, especially when compared to all the other female classmates.

“Why do you care? I am better looking, richer, and definitely brighter than that boy. At least one thing for sure, I will be able to tell if a girl is confessing to me. And if it was you, I definitely wouldn’t have rejected it.”

Where did his confidence come from…….. Excuse me while I collect my goose bumps all over the ground.

“Class, after this week you’ll have another week for self-studying before your mid-terms start. Please strive to do well even though all of you definitely won’t have problems passing or possibly retaining, please…..” Before I could reply, Ms Om came in and gave us further instructions about our examinations.

During lunch, Park Yong disappeared before I could give him an answer, making me wonder if he actually wants it anyway.

I went to the music room to have a peace of mind.

Chan Yeol tagged along and curled up by the piano, patiently waiting while I finish playing a few pieces.

“So… how was it?” I remember Chan Yeol once said that I play amazingly well, and I sort of…. want to hear it again. (Literally fishing for compliments.)

“Ah Mi ah, don’t you think…. Something is missing?”

“What?” What? A few months later suddenly my amazing skills loses its charisma?

“I don’t know… I think, like… lyrics?”

“This is a piano instrumental, it’s supposed to be expressed through music, not words.”

“Yeah…. It’s beautiful and nice, but I just feel it’s lacking…. meanings?”

It set me thinking.
