Jealousy
Marry Me!“Where are you going?” Kris looked up from his pile of papers.
“Wushu practice!” Tao said as he swung his duffel bag over his shoulder.
Kris frowned, “Are you sure it’s safe?” What if he gets hurt doing wushu?
Tao blinked, “What do you mean?”
Kris cleared his throat, “How are you getting there?”
“Bus,” Tao shrugged.
Kris suddenly stood up, “Wait up.”
Tao put his bag down while waiting for Kris to whatever he was doing in their room. “Kris? I need to go or I’ll miss the bus!”
Kris came out with changed clothing, “Come on.”
“Huh?” Tao was confused.
Kris walked out the door, “I’m uh, going somewhere, so I’ll drop you off.”
“Yay!” Tao skipped out after Kris. “Thanks!”

“Are you always this clumsy and incompetent?” Kris sighed as he leaned over to unbuckle Tao’s seatbelt.
“No!” Tao huffed. “I’m not!” Eek, he’s so close!
After the seatbelt was released, Kris pulled away slightly, his body still leaning over Tao’s. They could feel each other’s breaths on their faces as they stared into each other’s eyes.
“Have fun,” Kris said quietly as he pulled away.
“Yeah,” Tao breathed. I thought he was going to kiss me. Not that I wanted him to. I mean, I kind of did. Wait, what?!?! No I didn’t! Why would I want that?!
“Be safe,” Kris murmured quietly.
“What was that?” Tao asked. Did he just…
“Nothing,” Kris looked straight ahead.
“So where are you going?” Tao said as he got off the car and closed the door.
“I – I’m just. Why do you ask so many questions,” Kris furrowed his eyebrows and sped off.
“What a weirdo,” Tao shrugged as he headed into the training room.

“It’s been two hours,” Kris muttered to himself. Surely Tao was done with practice. Kris paced back and forth the living room. He was about to grab his keys and go pick Tao up himself when the doorknob rattled open. Kris ran to the couch and laid down.
“Hi, Kris!” Tao grinned.
“Yeah,” Kris grunted.
“What are you doing over there?”
“Watching the news,” Kris replied automatically.
Tao stared at the television, which was currently off. Kris moved his head to look at Tao and followed Tao’s line of vision. “I just… turned it off,” Kris sat up. “Yeah, back to work now.”
“Oh,” Tao nodded. “Okay.”
Tao headed to the bedroom, only to be stopped by Kris’ question, “Why didn’t you call me?”
“Huh?”
“I could have picked you up,”
