Gimpo International Airport. South Korea

It was January and the night was cold and snowy. An "outsider" looking blond girl stood in the middle of the busy looking and crowded airport, seemingly not noticing her surroundings and almost in a state of trance, or perhaps just purely daydreaming the girl stood there motionless, being only noticed by a little kid who said to his mother in a rather scared tone.

-"Umma that noona is strange."

Said the child while pointing at the girl, rather than that everyones lives continued and people kept moving to their destination regardless of the girl being there or not. Jessica Jung was her name and she was in such a state because she had taken a big step in her life and she was now coping with it...the moment of her arrival in Korea was what triggered this. She started to think of the reason she'd come so far and what she left back at home, memories started to suddenly overhelm her and put her into her current daydreaming state. Suddenly a big crashing sound was heard troughout the airport lobby.A brunette girl crashed into Jessica forcibly removing her from her daydreaming and trance like state...Jessica got up and apologized in the most coldest of tones,the girl said nothing. So Jessica starded helping the girl pick up her belongings. The girl still didn't say anything not even a thank you but after they finished picking up everything, Jessica could swear she saw the warmest of smiles on the girl's face and then she suddenly disappeared out of the airport into the outside world. Jessica sighed at the disappearance of the strange girl and went outside to get a cab.

Jessica put her things in the boot and quickly slided in the backseat of the cab surprising the cab driver.
Almost instantly after sliding in she handed a paper to the cab driver presumably with her destination written on it.

-"Take me here..." She said in a cold tone. Jessica's voice trailed off as she remembered the girl that crashed into her in the airport, now remembering her warm smile Jessica suddenly wanted to apologize to the girl for talking to her in such a cold tone...but she realized that the world is too big and they probably won't meet again.

As the taxi drove out of the limits of the airport and into the city Jessica seemed to start daydreaming again...this state lasted until the cab pulled in to the curb and the cab driver called his rather odd looking and surprisingly dozed off passenger.

-"Excuse me...Excuse me miss we're here"

Jessica sighed upon the look of the rather worried cab driver.

-"Yes...Sorry here's your payment...Keep the change" She said in a cold tone again.

As she got out of the cab she took notice of the nice and modern looking house in front of her, she went near the intercom and buzzed once.

*BZZZZZZZZZZZZ*

No answer from the other side...so she tried again and this time she buzzed longer.
 

*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ*

An odd, busy sounding, but cute voice answered:

-"Who is it?"

Upon hearing the rather quite honey like voice Jessica got startled and answered.

-"This is Jessica Jung...I'm here for the ad...you put an ad on the internet for a roomate and we talked a few days ago over the phone..." She said nervously.

-"Ah yes I remember you...yes please come in and I'm sorry for not answering sooner" Said and apologized the voice on the intercom.


Jessica entered the quite modern, nice looking but still quite traditional korean house...it was certainly a restored house. As she entered she looked at the very neat and very well treated garden and at how well the place was clean altough it had so many trees, she thought to herself that the person must really love this garden to keep it so well treated. Suddenly a door was open and a black haired and neatly arranged girl stepped out into the garden and greeted Jessica.

-"Ah...Hello...Welcome; im sorry about the whole thing with the door" She said in a very shy but cute tone.

Jessica sighed mentally and thought she needed to speak in the most friendly tone she could muster so the girl wouldn't have a bad first impression of her.

-"Oh no problem you seemed like you were busy" She said lightly.

She was cold but she didn't want to seem like a monster to such a warm and friendly girl.

-"My name is Seohyun, but you can call me Seo. And your name is Jessica?? Quite the foreign name..." The girl's voice trailed off when she saw the face of an expressionless Jessica in front of her...it almost seemed like she was waiting for her to finish.
 

Seohyun facepalmed in her mind and blamed her rather busy mouth for speaking too much when she gets nervous. Seohyun sighed.

-"I'll show you arround the house...come." She said as she smiled.

As Seohyun showed Jessica around the house the latter couldn't stop noticing how neat and clean the house was. When they got to the kitchen Jessica noticed that the other girl didn't answer the door right away because she was cooking. Then a thundering growl was heard troughout the house...

Jessica's cheeks suddenly turned red and Seohyun chuckled lightly at the expression in Jessica's face.

-"Seems like you're hungry...wanna eat i was busy cooking dinner...let's talk as we eat" Seohyun said with a rather motherly expression.
 

A strange silence and a rather heavy mood was set in the kitchen. Seohyun tried to lighten up the mood by talking about the renting plans and how they would divide rent...but all her speechcraft met an again daydreamy looking Jessica.

-"Excuse me...Excuse me...?" Asked Seohyun touching Jessica's arm lightly, causing the latter to get startled and make a quite scared expression.

-"You seemed like you were in another world...Are you okay?"

-"Yes...hmmm...I'm sorry but could you just show me to my room?"

-"Oh, yes...Right away"

"Not a talker...eh... Jessica Jung"  Thought Seohyun.

Seohyun leaded the girl through the garden to the other side of the house.

-"Here we are...you can get settled here...there's still another room avaiable over there, so I'm still looking for another person to share the house with us...I hope you don't mind"

Jessica again entered the dephts of her own mind...not being able to hear Seohyun at all.

-"But I digress, we'll talk better in the morning" said Seohyun as she chuckled lightly after setting eyes in the dozed off face of Jessica.

-"Yes, i'll see you tomorrow" said Jessica in a low tone almost like a whisper.

Than she entered her room and started unpacking her belongings. For someone who came from another country Jessica didn't have much. Her room was not big nor small it was medium sized it had a nice single bed a closet a set of drawers and a nightstand. She started by arranging her clothes in the set of drawers and her coats in the closet. Than she took a photo album from inside her bag and throwed it on the bed, she then took a couple of photo frames from a plastic bag, she had bought them from a tax free shop from the airport. It was just 3 pictures. One was Jessica with her mother and sister, another was Jessica in high school with her best friend Kim Taeyeon and another was a picture of Jessica and a rather handsome man with both of them dressed as bride and groom...Jessica let out a single tear from the corner of her eye at the sight of this photo.

Suddenly the man in the picture appeared in front of her.

-"Donghae..." Said Jessica in a sad tone

-"Do you remember the time we took that photo...we were so happy" Said Donghae.

-"Donghae..." Repeated Jessica in the same sad tone...then she quickly closed her eyes and dispelled the spectrum of Donghae.

She went to bed and cried herself to sleep...

Hey guys~~ This was actually the first ever fanfic I wrote. I'm posting this all at once and with some minor editing. Just correcting what I did wrong back then. I'm trying to get my fanfics out there and since I already have some acknowledgement on SSF I wanted to try and come to AFF. So I'm posting all my completed fics and one shots here in the hopes you guys will like them too ^^ I'll also write some AFF exclusives later ^^.
