Sohee's voice was the only focus in my right ear while my eyes only kept a look on the beautiful gown hanging neatly by the hanger in my reserved room. It was beautiful with everything made out of a special silk full of white flowers. The flowers were everywhere, making the piece a white pile of wonderful petals. The thing that I loved the most was the fact that there was a single strap crossing the chest area, lining to my back. The only thing that I disliked was the short length that would reach up to my upper thigh, showing my long legs I have become insecure with. Not that my legs are horrible, they just aren't the best out there. I would have to live through the slight situation. I've seen girls wearing dresses that show half of their cheek anyways. Maybe, I'll be one of the decent females, considering today's disappointing fashion from women wanting attention.

"Sulli, you have to go. It's part of your life. Trust me, it's going to be fun! I would love to have the chance to once even get the opportunity to just observe a sophisticated party like in the movies! Instead of complaining, realize how many people would love to be in your place. Not only do you have a beautiful dress, but also the chance to attend such luxury." My ears heard the girl sigh almost dreamily. "And to be honest, I'm almost positive you will be the most gorgeous girl out there."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her last statement. "Don't start with the ridiculous definitions, Sohee."

"Ridiculous definitions? Oh come on, Sulli. Don't tell me you are still traumatized over being ugly!" The girl sighed, making me laugh at her dramatic way of speaking.

Mindlessly, my head shook. "I don't think I'm ugly, but I'm not the prettiest." I corrected.

"What?!" It was rare to hear Sohee yell when she is extremely quiet due to her shy demeanor, but I was quickly cutted off from replying. "You are gorgeous, Jinri! Have you not seen the girls of today? Maybe they would be prettier if their clothes weren't showing cleavage all around their bony bodies and their faces wouldn't look like actual clowns." I couldn't help but laugh. Sohee was one of the few people who gifted me the chance to laugh. Her words and blunt explanations could have me rolling in the floor hysterically.

"Whatever you say." Beginning to wave off her statements, I heard the quiet gasp from that made my eyes roll.

"Are you ignoring my words?" Sohee clicked her tongue loudly for me to hear. "I see how it is."

"I wasn't ignoring, just waving off."

"It's the same thing."

"No it's no-"

"Yes it is, but I don't mind. Later, a guy will convince you once he has your heart wrapped around his finger." Sohee giggled. "You know, when will you get a boyfriend? We are already twenty years old and you haven't had a boyfriend or even your first kiss, Sull."

I sighed knowing it was true. It wasn't that I was prohibited, I think. But more like I am scared from getting hurt. Sohee on the other hand, already had her first kiss taken from a boy when she was attending a public school of Busan. It was in her first year of high school, and even though she was still young, Sohee already had her first kiss in the palm of her hand. While I'm still stuck with the fact over not having one. It's sad, but I don't give much thought of it. I have better things to focus on, rather than worrying over a plain kiss.

My mouth opened to reply when I heard Sohee rambling around the location she was in. "Sull, I'll have to cut our phone call short. Customers are getting grumpy because we ran out of rice. Go take a shower, and get ready! The party is about to begin, and I'll kill you if I realize you did not attend." I sighed in annoyance, but nodded while hearing her laugh. "Love you, Sulli. Talk to you later." With that, the line went dead and I was left thinking deeply.

My eyes landed back to the well made gown, making me take a deep breath.

"Do I really have to wear you?"

My body automatically walked into the bathroom where my clothes were quickly stripped off, giving me the answer to my words.

I entered the large ballroom about half an hour ago, and this was already going to be my tenth yawn of the night. The party wasn't boring, but the fact that every single person had a group to be in chatting had me again, isolated in the corner. My fingers wouldn't stop tugging onto the edge of my dress, and I almost cursed loudly when I saw the small hole made by my tugging tearing the sewing of the flowers. This couldn't get any better, and I clicked my tongue after removing my hands away from the dress. Instead, I began to play with the single flower clipped neatly over the right side of my hair. If this kept going on, I would only remain one more hour at the most in this noisy place. The only good thing was the delicious dessert of little cakes and the tranquilizing playings from the luxurious orchestra.

"You okay there?" I jumped in shock at the sound of a deep voice. I turned with wide eyes and met with a pair of foreign yet small eyes. I coughed out of surprise, nodding in assurance once I setted my eyes to figure that it was the short haired girl who had smiled at me the day before. Her face radiated with the natural skin shinning brightly against the light where I found myself amazed by her natural beauty. She owned beautiful features, it was not a wonder why she did not wear makeup. Makeup would maybe enhance her features, but I enjoyed the fact of seeing another person who isn't fond over millions of makeup products.

I found her smile beautiful with perfect white teeth, feeling a bit special over the fact her smile was directed at me. "Sorry if I scared ya'. I can be very clueless." Her smile turned a bit gibberish, and I laughed.

"Oh no, you are fine. I would say I'm the over-dramatic one here." I tried to display a welcoming smile, but failed miserably with an awkward curve of my lips.

Instantly, a unique laugh ringed in my ears. I didn't know if she was making fun of me or not, but her laugh was actually pleasant rather than the most fake and obnoxious laughs my ears have been tortured lately in this boat. "You're funny." My eyes watched her calm down with a small smile covering my lips. For once, it was a satisfaction to hear a simple compliment.

"I'm Amber, by the way. Liu Amber." Her arm rises in my direction for a handshake.

My eyes stared at the hand uncertainly, inwardly gulping. "I'm Sulli, but are you sure about that?" I pointed a nervous finger at her medium-sized hand with worried eyes.

I didn't expect her to laugh but she did, rather loudly, I must say. "Of course! Who else do I want to shake my hand with? The ghost in front of us?" Her laugh was contagious, but slowly my hand met hers for a handshake. I kept a look out for attention, and sighed when her hand was rather gentle and not harsh as I expected. Her hand was soft, but I kept that inside my mind.

"Wow. Your hand is as soft as a baby's ." I furrowed my eyebrows and muttered a quiet 'thank you.' It was awkward, but atleast I knew she was open in her words. "Love the outfit by the way. It's actually unique and looks fun to wear!" Her voice was booming, and I couldn't help but smile. She was a nice girl. When her head leaned into mine to whisper something, I didn't back away and also crept towards . "Not like the rest of the girls in here. In my opinion, they are all wearing the tightest dress they could find to show their asses and fake s." Her whisper had me laughing madly, and I couldn't help but nod. I liked this girl. She was different.

My eyes couldn't help but wander around the room, which ended up with me agreeing to her words. All the dresses seemed to be forced into their bodies as if it wa
