Seulki threw open the door of the waiting room with panicked eyes. 

As she panted, she searched for the clock hung on one of walls and let out a sigh of relief at the time displayed. She wasn't late, thank goodness. 

Despite being a somewhat proud owner of an alarm clock that could wake up her neighbors, Seulki always slept through them. She often  debated if it was a gift for the ability to get enough sleep without trying or if it was merely a curse because she often ran late to important events such as this one. 

Bowing her head at everyone in the waiting room as an apology for her lateness, Seulki couldn't stop the embarrassed flush that was worming it's way onto her face. Taking a chair that wasn't occupied, she slumped in her seat as if she wanted it to engulf her.

Being late was one thing, but in her late rush, she didn't have time to dress herself up and had thrown on a pair of comfortable jeans and a clean shirt. Even her hair, which was usually sported into ponytails, was loose and somewhat tangled around her shoulders. Looking around the room, Seulki couldn't help, but feel extremely underdressed especially at the girls who had a full face of makeup on and wearing clothing that were extremely put together. 

She almost felt like a bum next to them.  

"WOAH! And here, I thought I was going to be the last one! Haha, at least we now have tons of time to warm up."  Seulki momentarily got out of her cloud of negativeness,  as she called it, to spare a glance to her left. 

She wasn't expecting to be greeted by a sunny smile as she came face to face with Miyamoto, Yukari, who much looked too energetic for 6 am in the morning.

Seulki gave her a small smile, out of politeness which made the other girl's smile grow even wider. 

Seulki knew who Yukari was, at this point everyone did. There were many rumors going around by some trainees that she was an annoying girl that somehow weaseled her way to getting the star role in Juniel's music video. It also didn't help that she had once been on the roster for AOA, the current FNC girl group. 

Seulki didn't honestly know if the rumors where true or not, especially since she never really talked to the other girl before. She had only got glimpses at her when she was skipping or running down the hallway with some of the managers yelling after her. She had figured the annoying part was somewhat true after that, but she wasn't exactly sure. 

"I'm Yukari, by the way. It's nice to see someone who decided to go with the casual approach too! I was getting worried that maybe I was underdressed or something and was thinking about maybe running back to the dorms to change, but seeing you, I guess I don't have to!" Yukari said in one breath before finishing with a loud laugh that made some people in the waiting room, glare over at her for breaking their concentration. Yukari didn't seem to care and Seulki looked at Yukari's clothing with wide eyes. 

Similarly to Seulki, Yukari was dressed in a simple shirt and jeans, though hers were the skinny kind. If people didn't know any better, they could have mistaken Yukari and Seulki for having planned their casual wear for that day together. The only difference was the fit of their clothing, with Seulki's being more on the looser side and the colors choices of their clothing. 

Seeing Yukari's expectant eyes, waiting for Seulki to answer her, she gulped down the initial shyness that always came when talking to people. 

"Umm...Hi, Unnie. I'm Seulki. Nice to meet you, too." Seulki started before reacting a hand out for the other girl to shake which Yukari immediately took ahold of and shook with vigor, "Thank you for being underdressed too...I mean, you're dressed...but you know...not all fancy." 

At that Yukari let out a giggle, "Yup! Who needs fancy when you can't move around. Am I right?" Yukari finished her sentence with a small nudge with her elbow and pointed a finger at a girl who was dressed in a overly puffy dress that made her look like a marshmallow. 

Seulki suppressed her giggles when one the managers came in through the door and told the same girl to follow him. Yukari, however didn't suppress anything as the girl waddled past her and glared at them before closing the door behind her. 

"Man, sometimes people take things too seriously...Anyways! What are you going to audition with? Oh, singing? Dancing? You seem like the dancing type since you're so tall and all." 

"I actually am...I'm also going to rap something I wrote." Seulki said with a small tinge of pink on her cheeks especially when Yukari's eyes widened in surprise. 

"WOAH! Really!? That's awesome! I wish I could have done that. I'm horrible at writing songs, so I usually just strum random chords to make up for it." Yukari sighed somewhat dejectedly as she gestured the guitar next to her. 

Feeling the sunny mood dampen a little bit, Seulki scrambled to find something else to say, "Umm...Oh! Are you going to be singing, Unnie?"

"Yeah actually," Yukari perked up before her hand grabbed at her guitar, "Going to sing and play this baby. Then I'm going to dance." 

Seulki let out a small laugh when Yukari got up on her feet and struck a pose with the encased guitar in her arms. A nearby trainee let out a small yelp when the older girl almost slapped her with the said item. Yukari apologized before sitting back down. 

"Hey! You want to warm up together? I can play some chords and you can dance to it. It'll be fun!" At Yukari's enthusiastic gleam, Seulki agreed with her. 

Seulki couldn't help, but let out laughs as Yukari started to strum crazily while making funny expression before she soon joined in. Their warm up session lasted until they were the only two left in the room. When one of the managers called for Yukari to follow him, Seulki blinked in surprise when realization hit her.

Yukari was also competing for a spot in the group, she was technically her competition. 

Seulki smiled awkwardly when Yukari turned around before she left the room with the same bright smile, "Hwaiting, Seulki! If we both end up in the group, I hope we can still get along like we did today." 

"I hope so, too." Seulki mumbled when the door closed behind Yukari before she got up from her seat and started to warm up for real.

✉(A/N).

Sorry for the long wait for this chapter! I was terribly sick with a bad case of the cold and thankfully, the crazy weather in New York City has kept me indoors and helped my recovery! 

First off, congrats to Seulki's creator, TheWhiteRose, for sending her in. She has successfully nabbed the Lead Rapper, Lead Dancer spot, but don't fret people who have also applied for this spot. There was a backup position for a reason, so stayed tuned...Somehow I sound like one of the commercials. 

Despite this chapter being rather boring...I think it shows Seulki's character (if it doesn't, I'M SORRY!). As you can tell, she is rather friendly with Yukari already...ish. I think the ending is rather weird, but eh. Side note, all the members are not going to be instantly good friends as we are going to be seeing the next few chapters. 

I'm trying to type the next chapter as fast I can. Hopefully, it will be out soon since I don't want to prolong the wait for too long.
