“I met Eunmi this morning.”

“No need to shout. I’m right beside you.”

“Why don’t you tell me sooner?!”

“Just be thankful that I want to tell you about this.”

Doojoon rolled his eyes, slightly irritated at how calm the other can be.

“How come you can be so calm about it?”

Yoseob shrugged.

“What can I do? I was born to be a calm person.”

Doojoon raised his eyebrow.

“You’re such a cocky brat.”

“Yeah. Whatever.”

After a few minutes passed silently, Doojoon opened his mouth.

“So?”

“So what?”

“What happened?”

“I thought you’re not interested.”

“Do you want to tell or not?”

“I’m not sure. Shall I tell you?”

Yoseob glanced at the person beside him before looking back at the re-runs of Wild Romance.

“Seriously Yoseob, are you going to abandon the story just like that?”

“Why can’t I? You don’t look as if you wanted to hear the story.”

“Yang Yoseob, if you don’t want to tell the story in the first place, you don’t have to tell anything about it.”

“Okay. I won’t.”

“YAH!”

“What?”

Doojoon took a deep breath.

“Tell me.”

“Tell you what?”

“The story.”

“What story?”

“About what happened.”

“What happened?”

“YAH YANG YOSEOB!!!”

Yoseob chuckled.

“Arasso, arasso. But before I start, clap your hands first.”

“Wae?”

“Just clap your hands. Don’t people clap their hands when something interesting is going to start?”

“O…kay…”

Doojoon uncertainly clapped his hands.

“Okay. Thank you.”

After that, Yoseob shut himself up and went back to watch Wild Romance.

“Aren’t you going to tell?”

“I’ve finished.”

“Eh?”

Yoseob grinned. “People would clap when something ends, right? So, you’ve clapped. By all means, the story-telling time has ended.”

“YAH!” Doojoon felt dumbfounded.

“I’m telling you the truth.”

“Yang Yoseob, can’t you be more irritating?”

“I can. Want to try?”

“No, thanks. But I’d really appreciate it if you tell me what happened with Eunmi for real.”

“What do I get in return?”

Doojoon thought for a while before answering, “Tell me the story first, then you’ll get your reward.”

“Promise?” Yoseob showed his pinky finger.

“Promise.” Doojoon linked his finger with Yoseob’s before ushering Yoseob to continue.

“Okay, Once upon a time…”

“Yang Yoseob…”

Again, Yoseob laughed.

“Mian, mian. I’ll tell you for real this time. Chronologically, she apologized to me for being such an uncivilized gorilla. Don’t ask me why I chose uncivilized gorilla because that’s the most decent name I can come up with. She even cried. Next, she invited me to her party, and she also handed me the invitation card. After that, she made me promise that I’ll come to her party before she went out. The end.”

“I don’t have a good feeling about it…”

“Wae?”

“I don’t know. It’s just that, it is so unlike her to apologize just like that. And she even cried? That really doesn’t make any sense.”

“You think so?”

“Uh-huh. What do you think?”

“What do I think what?”

“Are you really going to her party?”

“I’ve promised her.”

“When is the party?”

“Weekend.”

“I’m not sure if I would be able to accompany you because I probably have to go somewhere.”

Yoseob rolled his eyes.

“Yah! I’m not a baby and you’re not my mom. I can go myself.”

“Whatever. You’re my wife and as your husband, I have to make sure my wife is fine.”

Yoseob blushed at the statement.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“What? I’m drop-dead serious okay.”

“I’m talking about the drama.”

“Oh. Fine…”

“Doojoon.”

“Hmmm?”

“My reward?”

“Ah… Your reward…”

“Yep. My reward. What is it?”

“Close your eyes.”

Yoseob immediately closed his eyes in anticipation.

A few minutes passed without anything happened.

Feeling curious, Yoseob opened his eyes and saw nothing and no one around him.

“He fooled me. Hmph! Stupid Doojoon!”

“Who did you call stupid, huh?”

Doojoon was making his way towards Yoseob, with his hands behind his back.

“Why are you hiding your hands?”

“You’re not supposed to open your eyes, you know?”

“Where have you been?”

“Why do you open your eyes?”

“Why don’t you answer me?”

“Why don’t you answer me?”

“Doojoon…”

“Yoseob…”

Yoseob pouted, causing Doojoon to bite his lips to cover his grin.

“Do you want your reward, or not?”

Yoseob nodded his head, his eyes lit up with excitement.

Doojoon walked closer to Yoseob until he’s exactly behind the younger.

“Close your eyes.”

As soon as Yoseob closed his eyes, Doojoon bent forward until his mouth is exactly next to Yoseob’s ear.

“I love you, Yang Yoseob.”

Yoseob’s cheeks immediately turned deep red.

“S-stupid! T-that’s not even a reward…”

“It is. It’s not easy to get a love confession from the high and mighty Yoon Doojoon, you know?” the older winked.

“Puh-lease.”

Yoseob rolled his eyes, calming his quickening heartbeat.

“Shouldn’t I get an ‘I love you too’ back?” Doojoon smirked.

“In your dreams.”

The younger stuck out his tongue before quickly went upstairs into his room, leaving the other grinning like a stupid, brainless idiot in the living room.
