Suga - I thought you liked kids!

"I thought you like kids!" Yoongi said with a laugh. You looked miserably back at him, not sure what to say to his amused expression, so you ended up replying in an exasperated tone:

"I thought I like kids! Clearly I was wrong, at least when it comes to these!” You scowled at the young girls in front of you, all three of the little brats glaring right back at you.

You’d been out on a date with your boyfriend, Yoongi, when the weirdest thing happened. You’d gotten used to hearing the occasional fangirl whispering something about how you weren’t good enough for their Suga-oppa~ and you quite accepted that a lot of fangirls felt this way but this… this was just absurd!

While walking together three young girls had suddenly come up to you, girls who looked between 8 and 10, and squealed loudly around your boyfriend, asking for an autograph. He’d given it to them, chuckling slightly at getting dreamy stares from such young kids. It was after he gave them the autographs that the brats really got annoying.

As Yoongi reached for your hand, preparing to start walking again, one of the girls jumped in between you, forcefully pushing you away. “Oppa~! Won’t you hang out with us?”

"Oppa~! Saranghaeyo! You’re the coolest!"

"Oppa~! When I get a bit older will you marry me?"

You’d watched helplessly as the girls refused to let him reach you, much to your annoyance and his amusement. When you’d finally tried to say something about it all three brats had glared daggers at you and led to the current situation.

"Oppa, why are you even dating such an annoying girl?" One of the brats asked, the oldest of the three. She pushed her hair back, clearly trying to look a lot older than she was.

"Yeah, Suga-oppa. You should date someone way cooler."

"Hey now," Yoongi said, the amused look gone, "I appreciate your support girls but I’m afraid I won’t stand for any trash talk about my girlfriend. Besides, she’s very cool." He winked at you at that last part, reaching over the little brats and pulling you towards him. You held his arm tight, not about to be separated from him again.

"Now please, oppa’s really happy you like him but we have to go. Come see me again at a fansigning, okay?" He smiled his superstar smile at the girls and they all nodded vigorously, a chorus of "Yes, oppa!" following.

You could still feel them glaring at you as you walked away and honestly you felt quite foolish for being jealous of little kids getting attention from your boyfriend. They were, after all, little kids.

"So that was interesting." Yoongi commented after you’d walked out of earshot.

"What, the fact that you have 8 year olds as fans?" You asked teasingly.

"No." He squeezed your hand and pecked your cheek, whispering before pulling away; "The fact that you get jealous even of 8 year olds."

Jungkook - I thought you liked kids!

"But… but I thought you liked kids!" Jungkook said, instinctively drawing back from your angry expression.

"I thought I liked kids, too." You replied, unable to hold back your annoyance. "But now I’ve changed my mind. Besides, even if I did like kids a lot that does not mean I’m okay with babysitting those crazy brats!"

You glared at your cowering boyfriend, feeling a bit bad now that he looked so apologetic but still not willing to back down.

Jungkook had recently been asked to babysit his cousins, two hyperactive boys of 4 and 6. For some reason he’d volunteered you to babysit with him, seeing as how he had dance practice for two hours that day and couldn’t take care of the kids during that time.

Of course, he’d decided to only tell you this the day you had to babysit, leaving you no choice but to agree with his plan or else leave the kids without an adult around. You shook your head, scowling. You’d do it but you were most definitely not happy about it.

"I’m sorry, noona." Jungkook apologized once more as you walked up to the front door of his uncle’s house. You heard the boys yelling inside before the door opened and sighed. This was going to be a long day.

Your prediction that morning had been spot on, it was a very long day. Sure, it hadn’t been too bad while Jungkook was with you but the moment he had to leave for his dance practice the normally hyper boys had turned practically demonic. You liked kids in general but babysitting those two for two whole hours on your own was not your idea of a fun day.

Even after Jungkook came back to finish babysitting with you for the last hour, as well as now on the way back home, you made sure he knew you were not amused by his choice of date activity.

"Noonaaaa~" Jungkook whined, pouting adorably.

"I’m not gonna forgive you any faster if you act like a kid yourself." You told him with a frown.

"I’ll make it up to you, noona, I promise! Next time we’ll go on the best date ever! Want to get some ice cream? I’ll buy your favourite for you."

Secretly you were enjoying your boyfriend scrambling for ways to please you. Sure the babysitting had but now that it was over you couldn’t help but find Jungkook’s reaction to your displeasure quite amusing.

"Okay," you told him, suppressing a smile, "but it’s gonna take a lot more than that to make up for today."

"Of course, noona! I’ll find a way, just wait. Now come on!" Jungkook grabbed your hand, dragging you to the ice cream store with a determined expression. You followed along, giggling to yourself. Maybe you should be mad at him more often.

V - I thought you liked kids!

"But noona, I thought you liked kids."

You stared at Taehyung with wide eyes, wondering how he could be joking at a time like this. “I thought I liked kids…” You replied slowly, wondering how to explain this feeling to him. “but… I don’t think I can like that one.

"Awww, come on. The kid will be your sibling. I’m sure you’ll fight and stuff but in the end you’ll love him."

"It will NOT be my sibling!" You spat out angrily. "No child of that man’s is related to me!"

Taehyung just looked at you for a moment, scanning your face without saying anything. Then, without warning, he pulled you into a hug. At first you tried to push him away but after a moment you gave in, letting him your hair as the tears started to fall.

"Listen, it’s not that kids fault his parents are idiots. His dad’s a jerk, I know, and your mom’s an idiot for being with him. I’m pretty sure she’s absorbing that man’s idiocy by being with him, too. At least, I can’t think of any other reason she’d kick you out. But don’t take that out on the kid. The wedding’s next week and that makes the kid your sibling whether you like it or not. Your mom clearly wants you there, I don’t know why else she’d send you an invitation and ask you to be a bridesmaid. Maybe she wants to make up for what she did, a little. And this kid, even if he is that man’s son… maybe he’s nice. Maybe he hates his dad, too. Heck, maybe he’s scared of meeting you."

Taehyung kissed your forehead before pulling back a little, using his thumb to wipe away your tears. His smile made you feel ten times better.

Maybe he was right. You hated your new step-father and you hated the person your mother was around him. Not like you’d ever been on the best of terms with her but at least she’d been tolerable before. Yet that wasn’t the kid’s fault. Taehyung was right, maybe the kid wasn’t like his father. At least you owed him a chance.

You pecked your boyfriend on the lips. “Thanks, Tae.”

He grinned at you. “Besides, I’ll be with you at the wedding. Not only do I look fabulous in a tux…” he winked, “but I’ll also beat up the little brat if he annoys you.”

You laughed, punching your silly boyfriend on the shoulder. Somehow he always knew just what to say.
