2 - Ashiya

My Twin Is A Gang Leader

Opening my eyes I sat up and glanced around the roof to see if there was anyone around.  There wasn't, which was a relief.  There is only one reason why any of the three boys would ask if it was safe to talk.

They would only ask that if it had to do with subjects we didn't want anyone to over hear.  Subjects we would literally kill to keep quiet.

You see, if you were to discuss these matters with just anybody hearing we would defiantly be heading to jail.  I am a gang leader of one of the strongest gangs around.  No one knows but a few.

Yongguk, Himchan, and Zelo are all gang members under me.  Call them my right hand men if you want.  The three of them know my secret about being the gang leader and have made it their duty to make sure no one finds out.

Double-checking our surroundings I nodded for Himchan to continue with what he wanted to say.  "Boss, have you seen the reports for the last shipment of goods yet?"

"No I haven't looked at them yet.  Is there a problem with them?"  I asked stretching my legs out and leaning forward.

Our gang is known for dealing weaponry among other things.  We will usually stick with standard weapons, but there are a few times when we will sell custom weapons.  Be it guns or knives, we have people who can design either with very good skill.

"Well," Yongguk interrupted Himchan, "The shipment was due to have a three dozen switchblades, but it seems a dozen of them were missing when our men picked up the shipment a couple of days ago."

I shot him a deadly glare, "What do you mean their missing!"   I hissed, "That's forty-eight hundred dollars worth of weaponry and your telling me it's missing!  How long have you known this for?"

I do not like when I lose money paid for excellent weapons.  And my guess is some idiot decided to take it and use for themselves without paying.

"Two days ago the shipment came in.  I just went through the report yesterday before I handing it off to you Boss."  Himchan said bowing his head.

"I want you to find those knives.  I want the bastard who stole my merchandise in front of me.  He has hell to pay.  I want our men out searching.  Now!"

I'm fuming mad.  My day has just gotten worse.  First off, I'm late for class and the teacher is mad at me.  Now, I have to find out that my merchandise is missing.  What else can go wrong?

   "Zelo!" I snapped.

Zelo jumped in his spot snapping his head towards me, "Yes Boss?"

"I want your men to start looking into this.  Its best we have some IT personnel working on this as well as men on the streets.  So your team is best for this.  I want this done ASAP."  I said slowly calming my anger.

Nodding Zelo stood up and pulled his black iPhone 5 out of his bag and went to make the call to get his men working on the situation.

I checked the time on Yongguk's phone, which he had laying beside him.  Only ten minutes left of lunch then three hours of school until I can leave.

Jumping up I startled Himchan and Yongguk, who gave me questioning looks.  "Lunch is almost over we have to go to class.  Hurry up you lazy asses."

The two of them looked between each other and me before Himchan muttered just loud enough for me to hear, "I blame it on a multiple personality disorder."

"Hey!  Hurtful much."  I said back with a smile on my face teasing him.

Once Zelo finished his call the four of us went back down the stairs and split up to head to our lockers before meeting back up in class.

O_o

The rest of the school day went by without much incident.  Mr. Aaron gave us a pop quiz in science and a load of homework in math.

The last five minutes of class seemed to drag on as I watched the clock tic by with my head resting on my hard plastic desk.  It isn't as comfortable as it sounds.  These things are rock hard and have groves and dents in them that make them the most uncomfortable thing ever.

At last, the clock hit four o'clock and the bell blared through the hallways.  School is finally done!  I rejoiced.

Slinging my bag over my shoulders I stood up and waited for my three friends to finish packing so we could all leave together.  We split up to grab our books from out lockers before meeting up at the front of the school.

"What are we doing this time Ashiya?"  Yongguk asked as we headed towards the bus stop.

After school the four of us would sometimes go to the mall, or a theme park to let off steam from the long day at school.  Today I was not in the mood to do something as fun as either of those.

"I'm heading home to change.  I want this problem solved as soon as possible - hopefully tonight.  So I want to start working on it as soon as possible."  I said facing them and keeping my voice down as we waited for the bus with a few other students.

"Understood."  Zelo agreed.  "All my men are already doing everything possible to track the shipment and locate the missing supplies."

"We can have a few of my men check to see if any of our goods have hit the black market yet."  Himchan whispered in my ear as a group of girls passed us, sending smiles at the three boys.

"When we get to my house call them and have them do that."  I whispered back as the bus arrived.

Getting on, the four of us went to the back of the bus and rode in silence, not daring to talk about these matters in such a crowded and public place.

Getting of the bus we all walked to my house, pausing outside to check if my parents were home.  Neither of their cars were in the driveway; the window in the garage didn't have the blinds down so I peaked in.  My father's car was parked in there.

"My Father is home."  I said to the boys.

"Will you still be able to go out?"  Himchan and Zelo asked me at the same time.

"I'm sure he won't mind."  I said not fully believing my words myself.

My father is really strict on going out on school nights and before I finished my homework.  My mother is a little more lenient on those rules.

Pulling my key chain out I unlocked the front door and walked in with the boys following behind.  Removing my shoes I stepped over the small ledge separating the front entrance from the rest of the house.

With the boys following behind me I walked to the kitchen grabbing a piece of bread before heading to the living room where my father was sitting watching the news.

"Hey Dad.  How was work?"  I asked casually leaning on the wall.

"Same as always, had a few issues with a couple of the stereos.  Still not sure what's wrong with them."  He sighed in frustration.  He must be really frustrated about why they weren't working properly.  "I see you brought your friends over.  Let me guess, the four of you are going out tonight?"

"Yeah.  Don't worry, I finished most of my homework in class and will have the rest finished before I go to bed.  I won't stay out to late."  I acted cute and innocent, giving a little pout at the end.

"Don't pout at me."  My dad said and turned away.  I can get almost anything out of him by just pouting.   "You better be home before I go to bed.  Understand?"

"Yes Sir!"  I saluted with a smile.

He let out a low chuckle and turned back to the news.

"I'll be back in a few minutes."  I said to Yongguk, Himchan and Zelo before rushing up the stairs to my room.

Stripping out of my uniform, I went into my closet in my underwear and looked for something to go out in, both in public and with the gang.

Finally choosing a pair of ripped, acid washed jeans, a light burgundy spaghetti strap top with a dark grey large shirt that hung off my left shoulder.  Digging through my pile of shoes I found my black and pink steel-toe working boots.

After finishing getting changed and applying some black eyeliner around my eyes I checked myself over.  Perfect.  All I needed to grab was the mask that covered my mouth and nose to wear while I was around the gang.

I don't want anyone to know who I am so I hide my face so they can't tell what I look like besides my eyes.  The mask was black with a picture of a silver spider web covering it with a red hourglass on my right cheek.

The design held it's own special meaning.  I specifically had the mask made with the design of a spider's web to represent my name in the underground world and my gang.

To keep my secret no one can know my name as well as my looks.  So as a gang leader I go by the name Black Widow or BW for short.  Just like the poisonous female spider; I'm ruthless in killing those who go against me and kill with a swiftness unmatched by even the best assassins.

Since I was a kid I took marital arts lessons.  And being on the street I quickly learned street fighting.  And I combine both to make my fighting skills spectacular.

Running back down the stairs I waved to my dad and said a quick goodbye as the four of us left the house.  All of us have our driver’s license, but since I can't let my parents know what I'm doing I don't take any of the cars.  But that doesn't mean I don't own one.

We make a good sum of money in this business.  So it would be a waste not to use some of it for ourselves.  I used the money to get myself and my three right hand men - Himchan, Yongguk and Zelo - custom designed motorcycles.  Each with our own design.

Mine was a glossy black with silver spider webs to represent my symbol.  Himchan's was red with orange and yellow flames running along the sides.  Yongguk's was neon green with dark blue wisps flowing along it.  And Zelo's looked like the inside of a computer.  You know those microchip pieces.  I'm not very good with computers so I can't explain it well, but you know what I'm saying.

We always left them at our main hideout with the most high tech security systems we could find.  But since we are hiding behind another identity we can't just use them whenever we want.

Since all four of are leading double lives, I'm not the only one who goes by a different name around the gang.  The three boys each go by different names.  All of us go by the name of a spider.

I am the Latrodectus Variolus also know as the Black Widow.  Zelo is the Eupalaestrus Weijenberghi or White Collar.  Himchan goes by Ephebopus Murinus simplified as Skeleton and Yongguk goes by Ephebopus Cyanognathus or Blue Fang for easier saying.

Walking through the streets was the same as always.  Same stores, same streets, same buildings; the sidewalks get more and more crowded as we near downtown center.

Walking past the office buildings and high-class restaurants, through the core of downtown not stopping for anything until we reached the west side of the city.

The city is divided up into the North, South, East and West districts as well as the ‘Center’, which is basically downtown.  The Center always stays neutral and no gangs own it.

We rule the West District and the richer part of the city in the North.  The West District is split with houses, businesses and near the outer edge of the city a few abandoned warehouses that we use as our hideout.

Not long later, we nearing the warehouse used as our main hideout that nobody came to unless they had business with the boys or me.

What could have been an easy journey just got slightly more difficult.  As we passed an alleyway I saw a shadow move and exit the alley in front of us.  Four other men followed the first.

I don't understand why this story doesn't have more upvotes. I mean COME ON! THE ONLY THING THAT'D BE BETTER THAN THIS (in my opinion) WOULD BE EXO WALKING THROUGH MY BEDROOM DOOR RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!! Okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but close enough.
I've reread this story (and currently subscribed to both this and the sequel), and I'm baffled by the lack of upvotes! If I could, I would click the button like 50 times. ;) <333

Chapter 40: Good story, well written. Only thing is you do not have to constantly explain things over again. i.e. the fact that she sperates her lives is said in almost every chapter. I know it's a crucial point but instead of it being explained on its own during the scenes, each character thinks, tells, or announce it to the reader every chance they get. I really enjoy your writing and story and look forward to the continuing of RSRC and anything new you produce.
