I was so shocked when Minyoung's father announced the marriage. I was completely furious. I didn't know how to react to this situation. Suddenly, a thought came to my mind; "What about my girlfriend?" Yes, I have a girlfriend whom I love deeply and I didn't want us to break up. She meant the world to me and is basically everything I need in life to survive. And if I wanted a future with her, I needed to speak up not just for me to get out of this mess, but for "us". I turned to my side to see Minyoung sitting there with an expressionless face.

" Mom, Dad, I would obey anything you ask me to do, but to this request... not this time. I WILL NOT MARRY HER!!" I shouted at my parents while pointing to Minyoung.

"NO, you have to! Give me a reason!" my father told me while trying to calm himself down.

I could tell my father was not happy with my actions. I could see it through his eyes but there is no way I would agree to marry someone I had no feelings for. When my father asked me why, I had no other Jungce but to tell them. I had been trying to avoid this, not because I was ashamed of dating her, but it was because I didn't want people gossiping about it. However, it seems like I have to tell them now.

"Because... because I already have a... girlfriend!" I finally spilled the secret I have been hiding.

There was a long pause after I spoke and everyone looked confused. On my side, I could clearly see a tear escape Minyoung's eyes but she wiped it away when it reached her cheeks before anyone could notice it.

"You... what? You have a girlfriend? Since when? Who is it? For how long?" my mother exploded with hundreds of questions.

"I do have a girlfriend. She is Jung Daeun and we have been dating for 3 years. I met her 4 years ago at the gathering we went to held by Mr. and Mrs. Park. When I first saw her, she had something that attracted me to her and we had a lot in common. I chased her for a year before she finally accepted me as her boyfriend and I don't want to give up on the relationship I had worked so hard for just like this."

That moment when Sehun, the guy i have liked/loved for so long, said he had a girlfriend already... I felt a tear run down my cheek. That was not what you would want to hear from the person you wanted so badly to be with. I quickly wiped it away before anyone noticed. No one knew that I had feelings for Sehun, aside from EXO and Chanyeol oppa. And I knew Chanyeol saw that tear.  

" You... what? You have a girlfriend? Since when? Who is it? For how long?" I heard " Mom" ask Sehun. I didn't even want to hear about their story. My heart and world had already started to slowly break apart and I didn't know how I would handle it after what he will say. Right when I saw him open his mouth, ready to answer his mom's question, I shut my eyes closed as tears slipped out, one after another.

From that moment, I knew I was done for. I couldn't think of any way to survive anymore. When Sehun said they met through the gathering my parents had hosted, it hit me.

I had just finished the homework that was assigned by the teacher and was watching "Full House", a korean drama, when I saw a video call on skype from my umma and of course, I answered it as I didn't get to talk to my umma often.

"Hii! Umma!"

"Hey sweetie, how are you? Are you doing well?" umma asked.

"Umma don't worry, I am doing well~" I assured her.

"Appa and I are planning to have a gathering with some other business men and we would like it if you could attend it!" she asked, sounding rather nervous.

"Why? I didn't attend any other of your gatherings before, why do I have to go now?" I was really confused.

"Well you see, there is this guy I want you to meet, I promise you, you will love him" she said very surely.

"WHAT? umma i dont want to meet this "Oh-so-special-guy" and I will not love him at all... believe me" I said in a sturdy voice.

"Sweetie, you will regret this~ he is the son of the Oh company." she said jokingly.

I was back in reality. 4 years back, when my umma asked me to come back for the gathering and to meet this guy... this guy was Oh Sehun. I did regret not coming back when my mother asked me to attend the party. Fate is playing with me. Maybe if I did attend it 4 years ago, maybe Sehun would have met me first, maybe the one he will fall in love with might have been me, maybe we could have been dating for the past 3 years and maybe we would not be in this situation right now with both of us are hurting. Just maybe, things could have been in a better situation. All these thoughts that ran through my head made me spill even more tears, but it hurts even more trying to hold in all these tears, that were ready to burst out anytime soon.

"Son, I know you want to spend the rest of your life Daeun... but you have to marry Minyoung no matter what... I am sorry son. Thats the end of this conversation."
