KAREN’s POV

“Yukwon ah, why don’t you introduce the lady?” their leader said.

Yukwon looked hesitant but Minhyuk pushed him forward. “Don’t hide her. That will only arouse curiosity from the boys,” Minhyuk advised his friend.

“Erm, guys, this is Karen,” he said, nodding at me. “This is Jiho,” he pointed at the leader.

“That’s Jaehyo.” The boy who called me grouchy winked.

“Taeil.” He watched me blankly.

“Kyung.” The biggest grin I’ve ever seen flashed in front of me. He looked the most sincere to meet me.

“Jihoon.” This one was the same year as mine. I think he was my classmate last year, but he had changed physically.

“Minhyuk and me,” he ended. Minhyuk smiled and put his hand on my shoulder.

“Aigo, Yukwon, don’t forget to introduce nuna too,” he said cheekily, but with a straight face. All of the boys laughed and I caught a glimpse of Jiho smiling lop-sidedly.

He caught me watching.

I snapped my head away and falsely exclaimed, “Ah you’re the nuna. Hi.”

“Are you planning to steal the badge or pay for it?” she coldly asked.

“Ah nuna, why are you like that?” Jaehyo teased to lightened the cold atmosphere but he was ignored.

“Ye – yes.”

I heard the door closed and everybody turned. Hm, I wondered who left.

I paid my badge and turned to leave. I saw Yukwon moved forwards to approach me but Minhyuk stopped him.

MINHYUK’s POV

I held Yukwon back as Karen started to leave.

“Minhyuk, why?” he asked, perplexed.

Why was Yukwon so blind? I had been watching the nuna for just a few minutes and I knew that she liked him already. After almost three months of wooing, I didn’t want him to leave the nuna hanging when she finally fell for him.

“Don’t worry, she would be okay,” I assured her. “Look, they have new badges...”

JIHO’s POV

Ugh, that girl is so annoying. I was about to tell my punchline but she totally screwed it up. This awkward atmosphere is because of her too. What was with Yukwon and her? I totally preferred him with this scary nuna compared to that girl.

At the cafeteria, she also ruined my plans! I was about to do a prank at school but she just had to take away Yukwon and Minhyuk before I could share my ideas.

I really hope her presence wasn’t going to be permanent. She was changing too much things around here and she didn’t even do anything most of the time – all she did was be there.
