Answer Me 2009{ Don't Want to Lose You }
April 18th, 2011.
As Hyemi opened the door, she was greeted by a rather sad looking trainee named Hyunjae. She looked over him and then took his hand awkwardly. She pulled him into the dorm as quickly as possible and then shut the door. Hoping that she wouldn't catch the attention of Minjung or Miseul, she lead him to her room where Summer was chatting away with Sehun.
"The music in the background sounds like cult music. Heartless, heartless, nobody care about me? Jeeze, Sehun, what about your mom?"
"Not my fault we're debuting with a crazy song...but how's Hyunjae? Is Moonkyu with him?"
"Sehun, he's just fine. No idea who Moonkyu is too," Summer said, raising an eyebrow at the trainee, "He's right here. Oh, hold on, he's crying. Er, I think I'll text you later. I have your new number saved. Okay, bye, Sehun."
"Bye shortie!"
After a string of playful insults, she then hung up the phone and handed it back to Daydream's maknae. Her eyes then looked over the usually well-kept male and then excused herself from the room. She put a hand on Hyemi's shoulder while putting the guitar on her back and said, "Good luck. He looks like a...walking french fry that has been soaked in oil. Don't do anything to strange!"
Hyemi's eyes widened at the reference and words. After seeing the girl's reaction, Summer chuckled and darted out of the room to give the two some alone time. They could practice guitar some other time hopefully.
"Hyunjae," she began, unsure of how to phrase her words once again, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"You wouldn't be here if it was nothing," Hyemi said, moving her hand to hold his. He briskly moved his hand away and then Hyemi sighed. As she pondered for a bit, she finally came to a realization. Sehun had called and asked if she had seen Moonkyu or Hyunjae. Besides all attending the same school, the three also were all apart of SM Entertainment's experimental boy group line up. If both of them were missing, it could only mean one thing.
Both of them were cut.
"Hyunjae, it's not your fault," she whispered wrapping her arms around him in a hug. As soon as she did so, he broke down and entered a pitiful state that he only allowed his childhood friend to see. A side that he hide from everyone, so, they could believe he was a strong independent person. He muffled his sobs in her shoulder and she continued to pat his back softly.
"I," he began, sobbing in between words and phrases, "Just thought I'd actually debut since I've been training for four years. Four years is longer than seven months right? Longer than a year, right? Moonkyu's been training even longer, but they just replaced both of us...like we were talentless."
"Hyunjae, you aren't untalented," she replied, hugging him even tighter, "You're the most talented person I know. You sing well, you give the best hugs, you cook the best, and you speak Japanese really well."
The sobs grew softer and then she added, "You're also perfect, Hyunjae. Don't ever think so lowly of yourself. I don't know what i'd do without you."
A hour quickly passed, but they still were sitting in that position. Suddenly, an idea struck her and then she said, "Why don't you audition for my company this weekend? You can invite Moonkyu too."
"Myungsoo, why did you invite me out here?" Miseul said, obviously flustered as they two walked down the streets of Hongdae. Both of them had large sunglasses and hoodies on to conceal their identity. Of course, Myungsoo had more to worry about in comparison to Miseul. Daydream had little to no obsessive crazy fan
