Answer Me 2009{ End of the Road? }
the last episode of starstruck with all the ten trainees. who are the girls that make the final roster?
August 16th, 2010.
"Well, we are royally screwed," Flora said as she held onto Summer's arm. The Korean-American girl laughed a bit, but she definitely agreed. A hour to prepare a song for a dance or vocal performance was definitely not fair. It was obvious to her that the CEO was trying to get them to break under the pressure. Normally, they'd get a whole day for these type of things.
As the car ride continued, the two fluent English speakers continued to make silly jokes with each other. Regardless of what level of humor the duo tried, the girls stayed silent. The attempts to brighten up the atmosphere were failures as the rest of the girls were concentrating on what they were going to do for their performance.
Singing or dancing? Rapping or singing? Dancing or rapping?
The thought of elimination scared them in all honesty.
After they arrived at the HQ, they went to look at the group performance scores. Summer's group won by a marginal amount of votes, but they also had received a higher score from the staff of the company. Their vocals were stronger as their dance as well. Their CEO watched them from afar as the girls took a look at the trainers' critiques. From the corner of his eye, he saw Hyemi rushing off as soon as she saw the scores.
He had predicted this the moment that they had finalized the scores. Unlike the rest of the girls, she was quite faint hearted and weak to criticism. Regardless of her skill level, it would be hazardous to have that type of mindset in the entertainment industry.
But going on, the rest of the girls continued to look at the details of the sub-scores. For the four girls that had trained with the company in Hyemi far before most of Summer's group, this was hard information to stomach for them. They had put a lot of effort into this. Too much to be told that they had failed.
Hyeri, being the motherly and warmhearted person she was, knew that Hyemi would have taken this to heart. As she turned around to comfort the girl, she was just met by Jaemi who gave her a guilty look as she knew that Hyemi's group partially failed because of her.
And soon the hour was over. The girls had lined up and the trainers called all of them into the room.
"You all will be in this room, but we will not be actually judging you from this room," Sumin explained with a grim look on her face. Yoojin and Dambi were setting up a camera and the rest of equipmentin order to record each trainee's performance. With a curt nod, she then said, "You guys have two hours to decide the order of everything. If you haven't finished, then you will be removed from the variety show."
The girls nervously looked at each other and then back to the trainers. It was time to show off what they had, and it was time to make sure that the company knew that they deserved to debut.
Sunri decided to take intiative and ask the girls, "Who wants to go first?"
A bout of muttering about not wanting to go first filled the room. After a minute or so, Minjung stepped forward and gave Sunri a warm smile. She always considered herself sort as an elder sister for most of the girls, so, it would be ideal for her to set a good example.
"Alright, Minjung," Sunri exclaimed, setting up the camera. "Let's do this, and show them that we're all talented."
"Maybe they'll let us debut together," another girl said quietly. It was lodu enough for all of them to hear her though.
Regardless of what they would do, it was obvious that Jaemin would only select four to six girls to debut.
It was time to get this show on the road.
The two hours had passed rather quickly, and the girls were finished with their solo performances. Three hours had passed since the terrible time, and they were now awaiting the results again. The four youngest girls were sitting on the couch while the five elder girls lounged about on the floor.
To say that waiting was nervewracking was an understatement. One or two...perhaps more of the girls would get kicked out today. Would they be able to stay with the company or would they be forced to leave and possibly find another? Those were the questions that swirled around most of the girls' heads.
Though they saw each other as competition, they didn't exactly want the girls they had spent so much time to suffer such a fate. All of them were talented, and none of them were lacking in any way. For the girls who had been in other companies, they knew that they were among some of the most talented and p
