** Aww.. Yoona ssi.. please don't cry! It breaks my heart..T.T**

** Flashback (2 years ago) - Part 1**

The First Time We Met

“Hmm.. hmm.. hmm..”, Yuri humming random tones while strumming the guitar. He was in the middle of composing a song for CF project which he received from his best friend’s company, Choi Sooyoung and Taeyeon. Both Sooyoung and Taeyeon owned an advertising agency. They were friends since they were studied at the same university. They’re like brothers.

“Haishh.. it supposed to be like.. this”, he mumbled to himself while jotting something on the music sheet. It was raining cats and dogs at that moment, and he could barely hear his own voice. Yuri usually likes to get his inspiration outdoor. So, today as usual, he spent the whole day since morning at his favorite spot, a gazebo located near the Hangang river at Hangang Park.

“Now.. how come the tune is not right here.. hmm..”, he mumbled again while scratching his head. He was about to write something on the music sheet when suddenly he heard a big water splashing came from the river.

“BUSHHH!”

“Huh, what’s that?”, he was surprised as he  immediately stood up while looking at the river. He saw a girl was struggling to escape herself from the river. Without even thinking, he immediately ran and jumped into the river, and swam towards her. He managed to grab the girl’s hand, but the girl was struggling to pull her hand from Yuri’s.

“Let me go! Let me go! Urghh..!”, the girl screamed while still struggling to release herself from Yuri. Yuri just ignored her screaming, and he held the girl’s body tight while struggling to swim back to the riverside. Luckily the river wasn't so wavy on that time, so, he could easily dragged the girl’s body to the riverside. After swam for a while, finally he reached the riverside. He then dragged the girl’s body, and laid her down to the ground.

“Y-yah! Are you crazy? Do you want to die?”, Yuri shouted at her while breathing heavily.

“COUGH! COUGH!”

The girl coughed hard while trying to get up. Yuri then helped her to get up, and the girl just sit on the ground, still coughing. Yuri patted her back harshly as he tried to help the girl to spew back the river water she had swallowed. It was raining heavily on that time.

“Urghhh.. I-I want to die.. I-I don’t want to live anymore… y-you should let me die..”, she stuttered as her voice started to crack. Yuri didn’t notice that the girl was crying because of the rain kept on pouring down.

“Haishh..”, he grunted. “Let’s go over there. It’s raining heavily now”, he said as he walked closer, and helped the girl to stand up. She wobbly stood up from the ground. She was so weak as her body was trembling. Yuri put her hand over his shoulder, and his other hand holding her waist, and helped the girl to walk towards the gazebo. He then put the girl to sit on the bench soon after they reached there. He then took his jacket, and put it over the girl.

“T-thanks”, the girl thanked him.

“You’re welcome”, he replied as he immediately sat next to the girl. “Now, could you please explain to me on what you’re doing just now?”, he asked in a straight voice while staring at the girl. The girl started to sob. Yuri kept on staring at her. Suddenly he felt like he had seen the girl somewhere.

“Your face…. you looked familiar. Wait.. wait..”, he said as he tried to recall. He suddenly snapped his fingers. “Aren’t you.. Im..”, he was about to continue when suddenly the girl cut him off.

“Y-yes.. I’m.. Im Yoona”, she replied hesitantly while wiping her tears, looking at the ground.

“But.. h-how? Why are you doing that?”, Yuri asked in curious. He never thought that he will met a famous person that would doing such thing in front of his eyes. Yoona then let out a heavy sigh.

“C-can we not talk about this?”, she replied as she tried to avoid from being asked further by Yuri.

“Haishh..”, Yuri hissed as he’s not satisfied with Yoona’s answer. He then immediately packed his belongings, and put them all in the backpack. He put his guitar back on its case. “Alright, let me send you home”, he said.

“It.. it’s okay. I can go home by myself”, she replied, still looking at the ground.

“Did you come here with your own car?”, Yuri asked while looking at the latter. Yoona slowly shook her head. “Where’s your belongings?”, he asked again. Yoona just shook her head. Without saying further, Yuri immediately took his backpack and guitar case. He then grabbed Yoona’s wrist. Yoona was shocked with his sudden action.

“W-what are you doing?”, she asked nervously while looking at her hand.

“I’m going to send you home”, he replied as he forcefully dragged her to walk away from the gazebo. Yoona immediately stood still, and tried to release her wrist from Yuri’s hand.

“I don’t want to go home!”, she yelled. Yuri was surprised with her action, and turned to face the later.

“Why are you so stubborn, huh? I’m going to send you home whether you like it or not”, Yuri sternly said as he tried to grab Yoona’s wrist again. Yoona dodged his hand, and cried.

“P-please.. I.. I don’t wanna go home..”, she begged with her hoarse voice. Yuri sighed.

“Alright, Miss Im. I don't know what your problem is, but, it’s raining now. I don’t want to get sick. Just let me send you wherever you want to go”, Yuri said while looking at his soaked shirt and jeans.

“O-okay”, she replied hesitantly. Yuri then grabbed her wrist, and slowly dragged the latter to walk. Surprisingly Yoona just complied. Both of them immediately leaving the gazebo, heading to Yuri’s car.

Soon after they arrived at the parking space, Yuri quickly unlocked his car, and opened the passenger’s door for Yoona. “Please, get inside”, he said. Yoona slowly slid herself inside the car. After closing the door, he quickly put his belongings into the back compartment, Yuri quickly went inside the driver’s side.

“Alright, just tell me your home direction, I’ll send you there”, Yuri said after he started the engine.

“J-just send me to the hotel or wherever. I just.. don’t want to go back home. Please..”, she begged. Yuri looked at her while scratching his head, not knowing what to do.

“If I send her to the hotel, she might jump from the hotel building to commit suicide. No, no, no.. I can’t let her do that”, he thought. He tapped the steering wheel while thinking. He stopped tapping as he suddenly got an idea.

“No, I can’t let you stay at the hotel. You probably might do what you did just now. Let me send you to my friend’s place. She can take care of you until you feel okay”, he said as he suggested.

“Look, you don’t ha…”, Yoona was about to continue when suddenly Yuri cut her off.

“I insist, Miss Im. I don’t want to feel regret in my entire life if I know what you will going to do later. Just please, listen to what I say. Whatever problems you have faced, just put it aside.  I know it’s not easy as per say, but people who might have hurt you will not feel sorry for you if you took your own life. You’re still young, Miss Im. You still have a long way to go for your future.

“SNIF! SNIF!”

Yoona sniffing while crying softly. Deep down in her heart she knew, whatever Yuri had said to her was absolutely true. It’s just that she couldn’t take it anymore as she let the feelings of sadness, anger, frustration dominated herself.

“W-why people who I love betrayed me? My mom left me when I was a child. My boyfriend cheated on me with another woman. My dad ignored me because he had always been busy with his work. Why?”, she cried. Yuri felt sorry for her. He slowly patted her shoulder, tried to soothe the latter.

“Miss Im, I know you felt disappointed on them, but there’s the thing that god has planned for every people in this world, and it called destiny. Maybe in your life, you’re not destined to be with the people who you love, but, who knows, one day you’ll find a person who will love you more than you can imagine. Yes, you might feel hurt at first, but don’t give up so easily on your life. Just believe in god’s plan, and it will keep you alive”, Yuri said softly.

“A-are you a priest?”, she asked while looking at Yuri. Yuri then let out a soft chuckle.

“No, I’m not. But I believe in god’s plan and destiny”, he said as he smiled. Yoona just smile faintly.

“Alright, I need to call my friend”, Yuri said as he took his phone from the phone holder and dialled the number.

“RING! RING! RING!”

“Yoboseyo”, he greeted his friend.

“Hey Yul, what’s up?”, his friend replied.

“Hey, buddy. Listen, I need your help. Can you do me a favor?”, he asked.

“Sure buddy, what is it?”, his friend replied.

“I have a friend who need a temporary shelter. Can you please ask your girlfriend to let my friend stay with her for a while? Don’t worry, buddy. The friend is a female”, Yuri said. His friend laughed over the line.

“Yeah, sure, buddy. I’ll call her right now”, his friend replied.

“Thanks so much, Soo. I owe you”, Yuri thanked him.

“No, problem, buddy”, the friend, Choi Sooyoung replied as he ended the call.

“Okay, let’s go now!”, Yuri said as he started to drive the car.

“You don’t have to do that…err..”, Yoona said.

“Yuri. Kwon Yuri”, Yuri replied, introducing himself.

“You don’t have to do that, Mr. Kwon”, Yoona said again.

“Yuri, just call me Yuri”, he said.

“I mean, Yuri. I don’t want to trouble your friends. I’m okay now”, Yoona replied.

“No, you’re not okay. You need someone who you can talk to. My friend’s girlfriend is working as a counsellor. Maybe she can help you”, Yuri said as he insisted to help the poor girl. Yoona just let out a soft sigh. If she could, she just wanted to say to Yuri to stay out of her business, but she found that Yuri was a good man. She had no choice but to force herself to agree on what he had suggested.

40 minutes later

“Alright, we are here”, Yuri said as he stopped his car in front of the apartment building. The rain eventually has stopped soon after they arrived.

“Seriously, Yuri. You don’t have to do this”, Yoona said.

“It’s okay, Miss Im..”, Yuri was about to continue his words when suddenly Yoona cut his off.

“Yoona. Just call me Yoona”, she said.

“Okay. Don’t worry, Yoona. At least, you can make new friends. Who knows, she can be your best friend later”, Yuri said while giving her an assuring smile. Yoona couldn’t help but to smile back as she found Yuri’s smile was sincere and sweet.

“Alright, let’s go right now”, Yuri said as he immediately went out of the car. He then rushed to Yoona’s side to open the door for her.

“Thanks”, she thanked him.

“You’re welcome”, he replied. He then led Yoona to walk to the main entrance of the apartment building.

“DING! DONG!”

“Cominggg!”, a voice shouted from inside the apartment. A few seconds later, the door slowly swung opened.

“Hey, Yul! Come on in!”, a blonde haired girl greeted Yuri. She then shifted her gaze at Yoona “And, you must be his... wait.. wait..”, she paused while scanning Yoona from head to toe. “Aren’t you.. Im Yoona? The famous actress and model?”, she asked. Yoona just smiled faintly in return.

“Yes, she is, Miss Jung. Now, can you please let us in?”, Yuri said.

“Oh, sorry.. please come in”, Miss Jung, a.k.a Jessica Jung replied while open the door widely to let them in. She then led them to the living room.

“Please, have a seat guys”, she said. Yoona then slowly sat on the couch.

“Psst.. psst..”, Jessica signaled Yuri to come closer to her at the corner of the living room. Yuri immediately walked to her.

“Yah! Why didn’t you tell me that you will bring her here? I thought it’s your another friend”, Jessica whispered to him. Yuri then let out a sigh.

“Sorry. It’s a long story, Sica. I didn’t get a chance to explain to Sooyoung before he called you. I just met her at the Hangang Park today. I came straight from there to your apartment. She tried to commit suicide. I saved her”, he whispered to her back. Jessica’s eyes widened, while hanging open.

“What.. why.. haishh..”, Jessica almost lost for words after hearing of what Yuri had said just now. “Oh, so now it explains on your and her soaking clothes”, she whispered.

“Yeah, that’s why I suggesting to bring her to meet you. You know what to do, right?”, Yuri whispered. Jessica scratched her head, and slowly nodded.

“Okay, I’ll try my best. Don’t put on hope too much. I don’t know what’s her personality looked like”, she replied.

“Arasso. Thanks so much, Sica. I owe you”, Yuri thanked her.

“Nahh… it’s okay. It’s part of my job anyway. Besides, a famous person at my place right now. How cool is that, huh?”, she grinned which earns a glare from Yuri. “Opps!”, she immediately closed with her hand.

“Alright, I need to go home now. Please treat her nicely, okay?”, Yuri said slowly.

“Yah! What do you think I am? A kidnapper who will treat her hostage bad?”, she snapped at him. Yuri just giggled softly.

“Alright, let’s go to her”, Yuri said. Both of them walked to the couch.

“Errr.. sorry for keep you waiting Miss Im”, Jessica said as she immediately sat on the couch.

“Yoona, I have to leave now. I need to continue with my work. Just stay here for a while with Jessica ssi, okay?”, Yuri said while looking at the latter. Yoona gave her ‘I don’t want to stay here’ look at Yuri. Yuri seemed to understand as he know that Yoona felt uncomfortable since this is the first time she met Jessica.

“Don’t worry. Jessica is my friend too. She will treat you nicely”, Yuri said while giving her his assuring smile. Jessica shoot an icy glare at the latter. Yuri just winked at her. He then walked to the door.

“Excuse me, Miss Im. I need to send him to the door”, Jessica said as she got up from the couch.

“Please update me about her later, okay? If she started to act beyond her sanity, just give me a call. I’ll come by soonest possible to pick her up”, Yuri said. Both of them were standing at the doorstep.

“Okay”, Jessica replied. Yuri then bid her goodbye before he walked away from Jessica’s apartment.
