:: A Second Confession ::

The next morning

“KRINGGGGG!”

“Urghh.. what time is it?”, Yuri groaned as he was startled with the sound of the alarm from his mobile phone. Still in a daze state, he blindly grabbed his phone that was on the table lamp. He squinted his eyes and looked at the phone screen.

“10:30?”, he mumbled groggily and began scratching his not-so-itchy head. Yes, he slept so late because of his voluntary work to fetch his dream girl from the airport. He’s usually an early morning person, but today was an exception. He put back his phone while yawning widely. He slowly got up from the bed and immediately doing his usual morning ritual, body stretching exercise. After he had done with the exercise for five minutes, he took the water bottle that was on the table lamp, and opened the lid to drink few gulps as his another usual morning ritual before he headed to the bathroom.

Getting out of the bathroom after taking his morning shower for about ten minutes, Yuri instantly headed to the wardrobe and open its door. Putting his hands on the hips, he scanned through the stack of his shirts and pants while doing his thinking.

“Which tracksuit should I wear for today, huh?”, he mumbled. Thinking back of the early morning encounter with his dream girl makes him feel excited. He will have a healthy date with the latter this afternoon.

“Im Yoona. I’m going to confess my feelings to you today. Just wait, okay?”, he mumbled to himself while smiling widely. He could feel his heart beats fast whenever he mentioned her dream girl’s name.

"Alright. I'll pick this one", he said as he taking out a pair of navy blue tracksuit from the wardrobe's drawer. He quickly put on his white sleeveless shirt before putting on his tracksuit.

“Tracksuit, check! Sports shoes, check! Sunglasses, check! Alright, Kwon Yuri. Kaja!”, Yuri cheered himself while grabbing his car keys and backpack, heading out from his bedroom.

At the recording studio

“Wow, what happened to you, oppa?”, Hyuna asked Yuri as soon as he entered the office. Her eyes scanning her boss from head to toe.

“Huh? Why? What’s wrong?”, he said while looking at his assistant weirdly.

“Your attire today. For the past four years I have been working with you, this is the first time you are wearing.. tracksuit?”, Hyuna replied while pointing at Yuri’s tracksuit.

“Wae? Can’t I wear it?”, Yuri asked. Hyuna shook her head while smiling.

“It’s not like that, oppa. It’s just.. weird”, she said.

“Aishh.. Kim Hyuna. Don’t be so nosy, will you? Just do your work, okay?”, he replied with an annoyed tone while gesturing his assistant to go back to her desk.

“It must have something to do with Yoona ssi. I will find out about it later”, Hyuna thought as she giggled and heading back to her desk.

“Phew! Glad that she didn’t interrogate me more about why I am wearing this today”, he mumbled right after he entered his office room. “Aishh.. this is all your fault, Im Yoona!”, he grunted while walking towards his desk.

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

“Come in!”, he shouted while opening his laptop lid. The door slowly opened, and Hyuna walked inside with several documents in her hands.

“Yes? Anything urgent?”, Yuri asked right after Hyuna took a seat in front of him.

“These are the drafts of the contract from SM Agencies and Cube Entertainment. They want you to review it first before you make your decision. I suggest you review on their TOR and payment schedule”, she said suggestively while handing the document to Yuri.

“Who are the artists?”, he asked as he started to check on the document page by page.

“Luna from SM and Yoseob from Cube. I got a call from FNC this morning, but I need to discuss with you first, oppa”, she replied.

“FNC? I thought they didn't take outside composer since most of their artists are talented in composing song?”, Yuri asked in surprise.

“Yeah, I wonder about that too. Maybe their management has already changed the policy, to diversify genres in composing songs. Plus, your songs always topping the charts, so, they want to try your song this time, oppa”, Hyuna stated her opinion.

“Yup, maybe you’re right, Hyun. So, what they want us to do?”, he asked.

“They want to meet you, to discuss about the project. So, do you want me to set the schedule of the meeting?”, Hyuna replied.

“Yes, please, and ask GD and Taeyang to join the meeting too”, Yuri said. Hyuna nodded her head while jotted down the details in her organizer.

“Alright, oppa. Is there anything else before I call them?”, she asked.

“Ermm.. can you do me a favor?”, he said.

“What is it, oppa?”, Hyuna asked.

“I.. “, Yuri was contemplating whether he should tell his assistant or not.

“Oppa!”, Hyuna calling her, causing Yuri startled.

“Aishh.. this girl..”, he mumbled. “I will leave office a bit early this afternoon.. ermm.. if there’s anyone looking for me, can you please tell them I have a meeting outside?”, he said. Hyuna squinting her eyes, staring at her boss rather suspiciously.

“Don’t tell me you have a date with Yoona ssi this afternoon?”, she guessed, wiggling her brows while grinning.

“Aishh.. this brat!”, he grunted. “Yes, and please don’t tell anyone, or else I will fire you”, he said while glaring at the latter. Hyuna chuckled on his words.

“You should just tell me the truth, oppa. I know everything about you and her, remember?”, Hyuna said as she reminded him about the conversation they had at the rooftop of their studio (refer to Chapter 11).

“I’m sorry, Hyuna ah. I thought it’s not necessary to tell you about that. You know..”, he said as his voice trailed off.

“It’s okay, oppa. I understand. Just please tell me the truth next time, okay? So that I can cover you next time you want to go out for a date with her”, she replied with a giggle.

“Yah! I don’t mean like that, though!”, he exclaimed.

“Aishhh.. you’re too slow, oppa.. tsk.. tsk..”, she replied, shaking her head while getting up from her seat.

“Aishhh.. this brat!”, Yuri picked up the document and playfully wants to throw it to his assistant. Hyuna laughed while quickly getting out of his room.

Later on that afternoon

Yuri arrived half an hour earlier at Hangang Park, a place where he supposed to meet Yoona. While waiting for the girl to come, he started to do some stretching and jog around the car park. While he was jogging, suddenly a black SUV entered the parking space and parked next to his SUV. The black SUV door slowly opened and a girl with a white tracksuit, wearing a pair of black sunglasses went out of it. Yuri stopped jogging and stood still, staring at the familiar figure.

“Hello, Kwon Yuri!”, the girl greeted as she took off her sunglasses.

“H-hello, Im Yoona!”, he replied as he looked rather nervous. His heart pounding the moment he saw his dream girl walking towards him.

“So, are you ready?”, she asked as she smirked.

“I’m more than ready, you know”, he replied with a sly smile.

“Alright, kaja!”, she said as she started to jog, heading to the jogging track near the river following by Yuri.

“You don’t have to warm up first?”, he asked soon as reached at Yoona’s side.

“No, I don’t have to”, Yoona glanced at him and continued to jog.

“What about your sunglasses? Don’t you want to put it on? People will recognize you”, Yuri asked in concern. Yoona suddenly stopped jogging.

“Who are you? A reporter? Paparazzi?”, she replied as she looked rather annoyed. Yuri just chuckled as he found it funny.

“Okay, okay! I’m sorry”, he apologized as he raised his two hands. Yoona then started to jog back and Yuri just followed her suit.

There were not many people at that time as it was still in working hour. Only a few elders and kids with their parents doing their riding bicycle activities. So, he guessed that’s why Yoona doesn’t need to cover herself since she expecting not many people will recognize her during that time.

“Ermm.. how’s your day today?”, he asked again. It took some time for Yoona to reply.

“My day is fine, Kwon Yuri and will you please stop interviewing me? We are in the middle of doing an exercise and please shut up for a while, okay?”, she replied as she finally burst out her anger.

“Geez. I’m just asking. No need to get mad”, he mumbled but loud enough for Yoona to hear. She just smirked and fasten her pace, causing Yuri to jog faster to catch her up.

After jogging nearly forty five minutes on half of the Hangang Park jogging track, Yoona decided to make a stop for a while. She walked at the bench and took her seat there. Yuri took this opportunity to buy a mineral water at the small kiosk nearby.

“Where is he?”, she mumbled while her eyes wandering around the place. She couldn’t find Yuri’s glimpse, and it makes her wonder on his whereabouts.

“Don’t tell me he gave up on me already”, she said, referring to her earlier actions. She just shrugged and leaned her back on the bench. She was about to close her eyes when suddenly she heard Yuri’s voice. She’s startled.

“Here!”, he said as he handed a bottle of mineral water to her.

“T-thanks!”, she thanked him and took the bottle.

“You’re most welcome”, he smiled and took a seat next to the latter. He opened the cap and quickly gulping the crystal clear liquid. He wiped his mouth and glanced back at Yoona. Yoona who was staring at him since then gasped and quickly shifted her gaze to the bottle. She tried to open the cap but failed to do so. Yuri chuckled and held out his hand to her.

“Give me that”, he commanded. Without hesitation, she handed the mineral bottle to him.

“I know I’m quite a good looking guy, no need to stare at me like that”, he said teasingly.

“Tch.. when did I stare at you, huh? So full of yourself!”, she replied, rolling her eyes annoyingly. Yuri giggled and handed back the opened bottle at the latter. She quickly took the bottle and sipping the water.

“So, are we going to jog back or you want to do another activity?”, Yuri asked. He waited for Yoona to answer.

“Let’s have a race. We run from this bench up until that small tunnel. Those who lose will have to buy dinner for the winner”, she said while pointing at the small tunnel with a grin.

“Alright! Race it is! Kaja!”, Yuri exclaimed excitedly as he quickly got up from the bench, and positioning himself at the jogging track as he’s ready. Yoona just smiled and got up from the bench, walking towards Yuri and positioning herself next to him, ready to win the race. One thing Yuri didn't know about Yoona is that, she's an athlete during her school days. So, she has the confidence to beat Yuri in this race.

“Alright. Ready? One, two, three…go!”, Yoona shouted as both of them sprinted to the said tunnel. Both of them running with all their might, and the result was really as expected.

“Yeay!” I win! I win!”, Yoona exclaimed excitedly while jumping up and down soon as she reached in front of the tunnel. Yuri on the other hand just stopped running and putting his hands on his hips, bending his body while still catching his breath. He stared at the excited girl in disbelief.

“Yah! Kwon Yuri! Are you really a man? How come you lose to me, huh?”, Yoona exclaimed with a sly smile.

“It is because I purposely let you win so that I can buy you dinner”, he replied with a grin.

“Tch.. I don’t believe you. I think you’re a girl, not a man”, she said teasingly.

“Say that one more time, or I will kiss you, Im Yoona”, Yuri smirked.

“Kwon Yuri is a girl! He’s not a man!”, she said mockingly. Yuri then started to sprint towards the girl, causing her to shriek and sprinted with all her might.

“I swear I will kiss you hard if I catch you, Im Yoona!”, Yuri shouted as he ran.

“Catch me if you can!”, she said mockingly while she ran.

“Aishh.. I will get you.. I swear I will get you”, he mumbled as he increased his speed and finally, he managed to catch Yoona.

“Arghhhhhh….”, Yoona shrieked the moment Yuri caught her. Both of them fell on the grass near the jogging track.

“Yah! Let me go!”, she groaned and struggled to release herself from Yuri’s hold.

“I told you I am going to kiss you if I catch you”, Yuri said as he struggled to get up and straddled the girl beneath him while holding her both hands tight.

“Don’t you dare, Kwon Yuri!”, she exclaimed while glaring at the latter.

“Yoona, calm down, okay? Please calm down”, Yuri said soothingly while staring into her brown orbs.

“Don’t you dare to kiss me!”, she warned.

“Im Yoona, I love you”, Yuri said as he confessed for the second time.

“Kwon Yuri…”, she didn’t manage to continue her words when Yuri’s lips landed on hers, causing the girl to gasp in surprise. Yuri continued to kiss her, but she didn’t give any response.

“Yoona, please give me a chance. I know you have been hurt before, but please, let me heal your broken heart, Im Yoona. Please believe me when I say I love you, I really mean it with all my heart. I really love you, Yoong. Please..”, Yuri begged. Still, the girl didn’t respond to him.

Yuri let out a disappoint sigh and was about to get up when suddenly Yoona pulled him by his neck and crashed her lips on his. They shared their passionate kiss for the first time near the Han river. They pulled off the kiss when both needed an air to breathe.

“I love you”, Yuri said, staring lovingly into her eyes while caressing her cheek.

“I… I love you too..”, Yoona replied shyly. Yuri smiled widely and leaned closer to kiss her lips.

“I promise I will never hurt you, Im Yoona. I promise”, Yuri said as he pulled off the kiss.

“Promise?”, she asked as she stared into his eyes, looking for a certainty.

Yuri raised his right hand and put it on his chest. “I, Kwon Yuri, starting on today, make my promise to Im Yoona to love her and cherish her with all my heart. If Kwon Yuri broke the promise, God will send a lightning to strike me”, he said his oath to her.

“Silly!”, Yoona replied with a cunning smile.

“I’m just silly only for you, Im Yoona”, he said, causing the latter to playfully slapped on his chest.

“Urghh.. whatever, Kwon! Now get up before people caught us in this inappropriate position”, she said as she pushed his chest lightly. Yuri laughed and immediately got up. He pulled Yoona by her arms and both of them stood up from the grass. They helped each other to clean the dirt on their tracksuits.

“So, you’re officially my girlfriend now, huh?”, he said as both of them started to walk side by side.

“Who said I’m your girlfriend?”, Yoona replied with a smirk. Yuri stopped walking.

“Huh? Im Yoona, you really broke my heart you know that?”, Yuri said dramatically while holding his chest. Yoona chuckled and walking towards the latter. She grabbed his hand and pulled him by force to walk.

“Kaja! You said you want to buy me a dinner, right? I want you to bring me to the most expensive restaurant in Seoul”, she replied. Yuri chuckled.

“I can bring you to the moon if you want to”, he said with a smile. Yoona stuck her tongue out at him, causing the latter to laugh.

“Cheezy enough, huh?”, she said, smirking.

“Aisshhh.. only for you, my love”, he replied while entwined their hands together.

“Euwww.. I’m getting goosebumps”, she playfully said while shaking her body. Yuri just laughed on her act.

The lovebirds continued to walk while chatting and teasing with each other until they reached at the car park.

Present

“Baby, kish daddy here”, Yuri pointed at his right cheek.

“Muahhh”, baby Junho pecked on his right cheek.

“Kish daddy here”, he pointed at his left cheek.

“Muahhh”, baby Junho pecked on his left cheek.

“Good boy. Kish daddy here”, he pointed at his lips.

“Muahhh”, baby Junho pecked his lips.

“Junho ya, saranghae!”, he said as raised his both hands on top of his head, making a love gesture. Baby Junho copied his action, causing Yuri to chuckle.

“Aigoo, you’re so clever, Junho ya”, Yuri said as patted his son’s head.

Both of them were at the restaurant inside the hotel where they were stay, waiting for the queen of their hearts arrival to join the dinner together. Yuri took out a small car toys from his backpack and handed it to his son to play with. Chunyeon and his family couldn’t join them since their daughter Gain still not waking up from her sleeping, so the asked the Kwon to proceed with their dinner without them.

“Hey, sorry I’m late”, Yoona greeted Yuri as soon as she approached their table. She leaned forward and pecked on Yuri’s lips.

“It’s okay, jagiya. We just arrived here too”, Yuri said with a smile.

“Junho ya. Did you miss me?”, Yoona asked as she took a seat next to his son. Junho just ignored her and continue playing with his toys. Yuri laughed while staring at both of them.

“Yah! Kwon Junho! How dare you ignore me? Don’t you miss your eomma?”, Yoona cried, causing the little boy to stop playing and shifted his gaze at her.

“Eomma…”, he said as he raised his both tiny hands on top of his head, doing his loving gesture to his eomma. Yoona and Yuri laughed on his unexpected cute act.

“Aigoo my baby. Come here. Eomma miss you, baby”, Yoona said as she took his son from the baby chair and put him into her lap. She showered her son with kisses, causing baby Junho to giggle. Yuri then called the waiter and started to make their order for dinner.

“How’s your work?”, Yuri asked his wife after Yoona putting baby Junho back on the baby chair.

“Everything went well. Gosh, I’m so tired! I think I want to retire from this work and just stay at home with Junho”, she replied. Yuri just smiled hearing his wife’s complaint.

“Just discuss with Chunyeon hyung if you don’t want to do this work anymore. I think he will understand, jagiya”, Yuri said as he suggested.

“I don’t want to let his down, honey ah. You know this is his project, so, I need to finish all the schedules before the contract ends. I have to, honey ah”, she said as she smiled faintly.

“Just hang in there, okay? Don’t worry about Junho. I can take care of him while you’re working”, Yuri said as he caressed her cheek.

“Thanks, honey ah. You’re the best!”, she said as she pecked on Yuri’s cheek.

“Eomma, kish..”, baby Junho suddenly said, pointing at his cute lips. The YoonYul couple were surprised with their son’s sudden act, causing them to laugh.

“Aigoo.. where did you learn that, huh? Appa taught you, right?”, Yoona asked his son. Baby Junho just nodded his head. Yoona chuckled on her son’s cute act and leaned forward to peck on his cute lips.

“There you go, Kwon Junior. Happy?”, she asked. Again, baby Junho nodded his head. His parents couldn’t help but to chuckle on his cute act. Not long after, the waiter came with the food and drinks they have order earlier and served it on the table. The Kwon then enjoyed their dinner while chatting and teasing with each other like a one happy family.
