Our First Official Date

:: Flashback ::

Since their first and second unofficial date were not so successful, Yuri decided that this time he just wanted it to be a little laid back, just like how he used to treat his best friend's girlfriends like Jessica, Tiffany and Krystal. He just wanted Yoona to slowly falling in love with him for who he really is, not whom she wanted him to be.

“She already gave me a chance, so, I shouldn’t waste it, right?”, he mumbled as he was fixing his hair and shirt in front of the mirror. After he felt satisfied with his looks, he grabbed his belongings that was on the dresser’s table, and once again, checking himself in front of the mirror for one last time.

“Alright, Kwon Yuri. Just calm down, and be yourself. Fighting!”, he exclaimed as he pumped his fist to the air. He then immediately walked out of the bedroom, heading to the main door.

In front of the Pink Cupid’s Cafe

“I’m not too early, am I?”, he mumbled to himself soon after he arrived in front of the pink painted building,   the cafe which Yoona had suggested for him to meet. He parked his car right in front of the cafe, and turned off the car’s engine. He took out his belongings, together with a nicely wrapped single red rose which he bought at the nearby florist shop.

“Why don’t you buy in a bouquet?”, the ahjumma who was the florist shop owner asked.

“Oh, I just feel like to buy one. I will buy a bouquet from you when the progress is good next time”, Yuri replied smilingly. The ahjumma nodded her head, smiling back at him.

“First date, huh?”, she asked as she smiled teasingly.

“Errr.. you can say that, hehehe..”, Yuri replied as he chuckled awkwardly while scratching his head.

“Ah, geurokunyo (I see)”, she said as she handed the single wrapped rose to Yuri. After he left the florist shop, he went straight to the cafe.

“Still have fifteen minutes before nine”, he said as he locked the car’s door, and walking towards the cafe.

“Annyeong haseyo!”, the waitress greeted Yuri soon after he entered the cafe.

“A-anyeong”, he greeted her back. Wow, she’s… tall and, cute?

“Alone, or with friends?”, she asked.

“Ermm.. with a friend”, Yuri replied.

“Alright, please follow me, Sir”, the waitress then lead Yuri to the vacant table. Since it’s still early in the morning, there were not many customers there at that time. So, the waitress choose the table which located near the transparent glass wall where the customers could see the view outside.

“Is it okay if you’re sitting here?”, she asked politely.

“Nah, gwenchana”, Yuri replied with a smile. He then took his seat.

“Arasso. Do you want to order first, or you want to wait for your friend to come?”, she asked again.

“Ermm…I will just wait for my friend to come first”, Yuri replied while flashing his sweet smile to the girl. She smiled at Yuri back, and was about to say something when suddenly…

“Ehem!”, both Yuri and the waitress were surprised with a sudden interruption.

“Oh, Yoong unnie!”, the waitress exclaimed excitedly as she pulled her into a hug.

“Aigoo… Seobaby.. you have grown up now. How’s your study?”, she asked as she patted the waitress back before she pulled off the hug.

“Study is okay. I’m in final year now, gonna graduate soon, unnie”, the waitress replied. She then suddenly grabbed Yoona’s wrist, and pulled her to stand aside, not far from where Yuri was seated. Yuri furrowed his brows while staring at them.

“What’s up, Seobaby?”, she asked, looking rather curious.

“Unnie, is that your new boyfriend?”, the waitress asked. Yoona’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Ehmm.. a-ani.. he’s.. he’s my friend”, Yoona replied hesitantly. “Yeah, friend, right?”, she thought.

“Are you sure you are not lying, unnie?”, the waitress asked. She stared at Yoona as her left eye squinted slightly.

“Aishh.. this kid! Why the hell she seems like want to interrogate me?”, she thought again.

“Y-yah! Since when you have become a private investigator, huh?”, Yoona exclaimed as she tried to pry her hand from the waitress's grip.

“Unnie, I have known you since we were in diapers! We were cousin, don’t you remember?”, the waitress said as she rolled her eyes annoyingly.

“Ara.. ara.. you are my baby cousin, and I always remember that. But, you don’t have the right to interrogate my private life. And, to tell you the truth, he is indeed my friend, okay? He’s from the entertainment industry too”, Yoona said while doing her little explanation to the waitress a.k.a her baby cousin.

“What are they doing there?”, Yuri asked, still looking at the two girls who seems like to have a small argument at the corner of the cafe. A few minutes later, both girls then walked towards his direction, slowly approaching the table. Yuri immediately stood up from his seat.

“Ermm.. sorry for keep you waiting, Yuri. I want to introduce you to my baby cousin here. Her name is Seo Juhyun”, Yoona said as she put her hand at her cousin’s back.

“Annyeong, Yuri ssi. It’s nice to meet my unnie’s friend. You can call me Seohyun”, Seohyun said as she bowed.

“Ah.. annyeong, Seohyun ssi. It’s nice to meet you too”, Yuri replied and bowed to her.

“Please have a seat first, Yuri ssi, unnie”, Seohyun said as she invited us to sit.

“Thanks”, they thanked her in unison. Seohyun gave her sly smile to Yoona, while the latter seems like giving her an icy stare.

“What’s going on with them?”, Yuri thought. “There must be something they had talk about behind me. But, yeah, I don’t care much. The most important thing right now is, to focus on this object of admiration in front of me.. hehehe..”, he thought again.

After placing our orders, Seohyun excused herself to the kitchen to place the order, and to continue her work.

“So, she’s your cousin, huh?”, Yuri said as to start their conversation.

“Yup. Her mother is my father’s little sister, and this cafe belongs to her mother”, Yoona replied.

“Oh, I see. So, first lesson of today is, ‘meeting with my family member’.. is it?”, Yuri said jokingly.

“Y-yah! What do you mean?”, Yoona snapped. She knew what Yuri was going to tease about, but she just pretended that she knows nothing.

“You said last night, you want me to court you. So, by being nice to your family members, can I consider it as one of the way of me courting you?”, Yuri said casually, but in a teasing tone. Yoona just rolled her eyes.

“It’s up to you then. I don’t care. I have already giving you a chance, so, it’s all up to you on how you gonna work on it”, Yoona said nonchalantly. Yuri just smiled hearing on her words.

“Cocky enough, huh? Alright, Im Yoona. I will take the challenge. So, mission number one, let’s see whether she will easily get jealous or not”, he thought smilingly.

“What are you smiling about?”, Yoona asked, furrowing her brows.

“Huh? Nothing”, he replied nonchalantly. Not long after, Seohyun came while carrying a tray of breakfast set they had ordered earlier.

“Alright. Hazelnut caramel coffee and tuna sandwich for Yuri ssi, and white coffee, tuna with chicken ham sandwich, and chocolate muffin for Yoong unnie”, Seohyun said as she placed the food and drinks on the table.

“Thanks, Seohyun ssi. And, you don’t have to call me Yuri ssi. Just call me oppa from now on, okay?”, Yuri said with a smile while glancing at Yoona. He could see Yoona just pretended like nothing happened while sipping her white coffee.

“Not jealous yet, huh? Let’s see..”, Yuri thought as he planned to launch his mission.

“Okay, enjoy your food!”, Seohyun said.

“Thanks, Seobaby”, Yoona thanked her.

“You’re welcome”, Seohyun replied, and was about to turn her heels when suddenly Yuri called her.

“W-wait, Seohyun ssi. Can I ask you something?”, Yuri asked.

“Sure, what is it, Yuri oppa? And, just call me Seohyun, okay?”, she replied. Yuri could see from the corner of his eyes that Yoona was shooting a glare at him.

“Are these two trying to flirt with each other while I am here?”, she thought.

“D-do you have a boyfriend?”, Yuri asked. Seohyun was about to answer him when suddenly Yoona cut her off.

“For your information, Kwon Yuri ssi, she’s already has a boyfriend, and his name is Kim Hyoyeon. He owned a dance academy, and he’s rich. The end. Now, continue your work, will you, Seobaby?”, Yoona said sternly while shooing her baby cousin. Seohyun was dumbfounded at first, but she slowly understood, and smirking while glancing at Yuri. Yuri just gave his awkward smile at her.

“Ah.. majayo (it’s true). Thank you for your information, Im Yoona ssi, and enjoy your date!”, Seohyun playfully replied before she quickly left their table, heading to the kitchen.

“Aishh.. that brat..”, she mumbled slowly, but loud enough for Yuri to hear. Yuri secretly smiled in victory.

“She’s jealous”, he thought. Yoona looked at Yuri and scoffed.

“Wae?”, Yuri asked as he curled his forehead.

“If you think that I’m jealous, you’re wrong, Kwon Yuri ssi”, she said, and started to take a bite of her sandwich.

“What made you think that I think you are jealous, Im Yoona ssi?”, Yuri replied while sipping his hazelnut caramel coffee.

“Then, explain to me why you asked my cousin about having a boyfriend or not?”, she said. Yuri smiled after hearing her words.

“It’s nothing. Just curious, because she’s cute. That’s all”, Yuri replied nonchalant while munching his sandwich. From the corner of his eyes, he could see that Yoona was shooting daggers at him. “Not jealous much, huh?”, he thought.

“Don’t worry, Im Yoona ssi. I only have eyes for you, and I like you. She might be cute, but, you’re the cutest”, Yuri said, causing the latter blushed. Yuri just giggled silently.

“Huh, such a sweet talker”, she scoffed, and continue eating her sandwich.

“You like it, don’t you?”, Yuri said teasingly.

“Don’t expect too much, Kwon Yuri ssi”, she replied, rolling her eyes annoyingly. Yuri just chuckled, and he suddenly remembered the rose he brought earlier. He took the rose which he put at the edge of the table, and stood up from his chair.

“This is for you”, he said as he held the rose with both hands, and presented it in front of Yoona. She seems not surprised at all, but furrowed her brows curiously.

“Only one?”, she asked while staring at the rose.

“Yup, for today. You will be getting more in our next dates”, he said smilingly.

“Confident enough?”, she asked. Yuri nodded his head.

“Yup, yup! Because Im Yoona couldn’t resist the most handsome Kwon Yuri. That’s why she gave him a chance to court her, and here, Kwon Yuri is trying to impress her”, he said with a grin. For the umpteenth time, she rolled her eyes as she felt annoyance with Yuri’s cocky answers. She then took the rose, and put it on her side on the table. Yuri smiled as he sat back on his chair, and resumed eating his breakfast.

“Thanks anyway”, she said.

“You’re most welcome”, Yuri replied with a smile. He couldn’t wipe the smile on his face as he felt happy that eventually he managed to soften Im Yoona's heart.

“So, when will be our second date?”, Yuri asked while munching his tuna sandwich.

“I don’t know, it’s up to you to decide”, she said as she shrugged. Yuri scratched his chin, trying to do his thinking.

“What about lunch today?”, he suggested.

“No. I have a photo shoot schedule this afternoon”, she replied.

“Today’s dinner?”, he tried his luck.

“I have a dinner meeting with the endorser”, she said. Yuri furrowed her brows.

“What about tomorrow’s breakfast?”, he tried again.

“Tomorrow I will fly to Paris for four days. I will have a photo shoot there”, she replied nonchalant. Yuri flabbergasted.

“Yah! If you’re so busy with your schedule, then why are you asking me to decide on the next date?”, Yuri snapped as he felt annoyed with her answers.

“That will be good enough when I told you about my schedules”, she replied sarcastically. Yuri finally understood now as his lips slowly formed a smile.

“Ahh.. I get it. So, our next date will be after the four days when you come back from Paris. I will personally fetching you there, then we will go to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or supper, no matter at what time your flight return will be”, Yuri said enthusiastically. Yoona just smiled, and shook her head with an amused look.

“We will see about that. My return flight will be at 3:00 in the morning”, she said with a smirk.

“Oh, that will be no problem. For you, I’m willing not to sleep at all for the whole day. I will wait until you return”, he said honestly. Yoona couldn’t help but to smile on his words.

“Assa! She melted now. One point for you, Kwon Yuri”, he thought. The two then continued with their breakfast until the time of Yoona excused herself as she need to get ready to go to work. Yuri offered to send her home, but she refused it because she’s already told her manager oppa to fetch her.

After he settled the bill at the cashier counter, Seohyun called him.

“Yuri oppa, wait!”, she said, causing the latter to quickly turn his head.

“Yes, Seohyun. What’s up?”, he replied as he walked towards the girl.

“You are on date with Yoona unnie, aren’t you?”, Seohyun asked with a sly smile.

“Heheheh.. you can say that”, Yuri chuckled as he scratched his head.

“Jeongmal? How long have you known her?”, she asked curiously.

“Ermm.. about few months ago. I met her by chance”, Yuri replied.

“Jinja?”, she said in surprise. Yuri just nodded his head smilingly.

“Is she your first love, oppa?”, she asked again.

“Yeah, you can say so”, Yuri replied in short. Seohyun smiled as she leaned closer to him.

“You wanted to make her fall in love with you, don’t you?”, she whispered. Yuri’s eyes widened in surprise.

“H-how did..”, he was about to continue his words when she suddenly cut him off.

“You are so easy to be read, oppa”, she said as she giggled.

“Aishh..”, Yuri smiled sheepishly while scratching his head, causing the latter to laugh.

“You’re so cute, oppa. Just like my boyfriend”, she said as she pinched his cheek.

“Jinja? Hehehe..”, Yuri chuckled. Without they realized, there’s a pair of eyes watching them with jealousy.

“You’re so dead, Kwon Yuri!”

Hello chinggus! Sorry for not update this fic for quite long time. Since my boss is out of town today, so I just took this opportunity to do the update.. hehe.. So, don't forget to comment, and subscribe if you like, okay?

Well, I'm sure you guys have read or watch fancams of Soshi's 'The Best Live in Tokyo Dome', right? It's their first overseas concert with 8 members. Although they felt sad as it's their dream of 9 to perform in such a huge and prestige venue, they keep on giving their best performance in front of 50,000 J-Sones, and international Sones as well. It was such a huge success for them as their debuted in Japan 4 and a half years ago. We're so proud you Soshi, although we couldn't join other Sones to watch the concert. We know, deep down, they cried in pain and joy as they're able fulfill their dreams, and keep on receiving love and support from SONE whom they were really treasured. Let's keep on supporting them, SONE!
