Love you, my princess

“Hmm.. it’s still raining”, Yuri mumbled while gazing at outside from the glass window. He slowly walked to the door, and pulled the door knob. He let the door open while walking towards the porch. He just stood still, and slowly closed his eyes, enjoying the sound and the smell of the rain. While he was in his own world, suddenly he felt something warm hugging his leg. He immediately opened his eyes, and looked down at his leg. He smiled widely.

“Gugugu...”, a cute voice heard. A cute two year old little boy with a pacifier in his tiny mouth was hugging on Yuri’s long leg.

“Hello my little prince. Do you want to join daddy enjoying the rain?”, he said to the little boy. The little boy just nodded her head as he seemed to understand on what Yuri had said to him.

“Alright, come here”, Yuri bent down and picked up the little boy, and carried him in his arms.

“Geeeee...”, the little boy exclaimed excitedly which made his pacifier slipped away from his tiny mouth, and fell down on the floor.

“Aigoo..”, Yuri said while looking at the pacifier on the floor. He was about to bend down and took it when suddenly a hand quickly took the pacifier.

“Haishh.. babyyy.. you did it again!”, a voice whined. Yuri just chuckled over the person’s words, followed by the little boy. The person then leaned closer and kissed the little boy’s puffy cheek several times which made him laughing non-stop as he felt ticklish. Yuri just laughed while looking at the little boy.

“Hey you”, he said to the person, and gave a peck on the person’s cheek.

“Hey”, the person smiled.

“Little prince, kish mommy”, Yuri said to the little boy while pouting his lips, and pecked on the person’s cheek again. The little boy just followed on what he’s doing, pouting his tiny lips and pecked on the person’s cheek.

“Mwahhhh”, he cutely said. The person just giggled.

“Alright, little prince. Come to mommy. You’ve been playing for hours. It’s your sleeping time now”, the person said as she slowly took the little boy from Yuri’s arm.

“Geeeeeee...”, the little boy exclaimed excitedly.

“I’ll be at his room, okay?”, the person said and gave a peck on Yuri’s cheek.

“Okay, Mrs. Kwon”, Yuri cheekily replied. “Little prince, kish daddy”, the person said. Yuri pouted his lips, waiting for his little boy to kiss him.

“Mwahhhh...”, the little boy pecked on his lips. Yuri chuckled on his cute action.

“Sleep well, okay baby?”, he said while ruffling the little boy’s hair.

“Geeeeee...”, the little boy exclaimed excitedly.

“He’s cheeky and naughty, just like you, Kwon Yuri”, the person said.

“He’s a shikshin and cute, just like you, Im Yoona”, Yuri said smilingly. Yoona just giggled and slowly walking towards the door with the little boy on her arms. Yuri just watching Yoona walking with the little boy inside the house. He then headed to the garden bench and immediately sat on it while enjoying himself watching the rain. He slowly closed his eyes, and not long after, he fell asleep.

“Huh?”, Yuri was startled with a sudden touch on his shoulder. He slowly opened his eyes.

“Honey, why are you sleeping here?”, Yoona asked while rubbing on Yuri’s shoulder.

“Sorry jagiya, I fell asleep”, he said as he sat up straight. He gently pulled Yoona’s hand, wanted the latter to sit next to him on the bench. Yoona just complied, and slowly sat next to him. He wrapped his arm around Yoona’s shoulder, and Yoona automatically wrapped her arms around Yuri’s waist, and leaning her head on his shoulder.

“Did Kwon Junho sleeping already?”, Yuri asked while caressing Yoona’s shoulder.

“Yup, your cheeky little prince has already fallen asleep after he finished drinking his milk”, Yoona replied. Yuri just smiled over her words. He then turned his head to face Yoona, and slowly leaned closer to kiss on her lips. Both of them shared their short and sweet kisses while smiling to each other.

“Jagiya, what do you want to do on our anniversary day tomorrow?”, Yuri asked while staring lovingly into Yoona’s eyes.

“Hmm.. I want to spend the whole day alone with you, honey ah. We can have our shopping, watching movie and having a dinner on tomorrow, just like on last year”, Yoona replied while caressing Yuri’s cheek. Yuri smiled widely and hugging her tight. He kissed her cheek several times.

“You don’t want our little prince to tag along?”, Yuri suddenly asked while furrowed his brows. Yoona just chuckled on his words.

“It’s not like that, honey ah. He’s still a baby, though. I’m afraid he will not feeling comfortable when going out with us the whole day, and make a fuss later. We can leave him with your parents for a while, okay?”, Yoona replied.

“Yeah, you’ve got a point there. Okay, I’ll call mom tonight”, Yuri said. Both of them then went silent, enjoying each other’s warmth while watching the rain keep on pouring down. Suddenly Yoona broke the silence.

“Honey ah, aren’t you supposed to finish your work?”, she asked while looking at Yuri. Yuri usually will be working on his song composition whenever it rains. That’s how he got his inspiration.

“It’s done half an hour ago, jagiya”, Yuri replied with a smile.

“Alright, I need to cook for our dinner tonight. Can you please check on our little prince?”, Yoona said as she slowly released herself from Yuri’s embrace.

“Sure, jagiya”, he replied. Yoona then pulled his hands to get up from the bench.

“Alright, Mr. Kwon, let’s get inside. It’s cold here”, she said. Yuri just smiled and immediately got up from the bench. He then intertwined his hand with Yoona while walking towards the door.

“RING! RING! RING!”

The phone is ringing as soon as both of them entered inside the house.

“I’ll get that”, Yoona said as she immediately walked to the small table where their home telephone has been placed. She quickly picked up the phone.

“Yoboseyo?”, she answered.

“Hello, dear. How are you doing?”, a voice asked.

“Daddyyyyyy.. where have you been all this while?”, Yoona replied excitedly. It’s a call from her father, Mr. Im.

“I just got back from Switzerland on yesterday. Happy second anniversary, sweetie!”, he said.

“It’s on tomorrow, dad”, Yoona replied as she chuckled.

“Jinja? Haishh.. I think I still feel dizzy and jet lag, that’s why I thought your anni is on today. So, how’s my son in-law and my grandson doing?”, Mr. Im asked.

“Both of them doing well, dad”, Yoona said while glancing at Yuri. Yuri just smiled.

“I’ll be at upstairs. Send my regards to dad”, Yuri mouthed to Yoona.

“Okay”, Yoona mouthed to him back while watching Yuri climbing the stairs, heading to their son’s room.

“Sweetie, I’ve got something to give to you before I depart to Hong Kong in two days time”, Mr. Im said.

“You’re leaving again?”, Yoona asked as she felt disappointed. She seldom got a chance to see his father since he’s working as a photographer with an international company which requires him working on abroad.

“It’s for work, sweetheart”, Mr. Im replied. Deep down, he felt sorry for his daughter. But, he managed to attend on her daughter’s wedding, and visited her at the hospital when she delivered his grandson. “I tell you what. I’ll come by tonight to visit you guys. I missed my grandson”, Mr. Im said.

“You just missed him only? You don’t miss me? I’m hurt, Mr. Im”, Yoona said playfully. Mr. Im just chuckled on her remarks.

“Pabo! I miss my princess so much, Yoong ah. You’re still my princess, no matter what”, Mr. Im said.

“Aww.. I love you, dad. I’ll see you tonight. I’ll cook your favorite dish for dinner”, she replied smilingly.

“Jinja? Wow.. it’s been a long time, huh? Alright, I need to get ready. I need to look good for my princess”, Mr. Im said. Yoona chuckled over his words.

“Okay, dad. Oh, Yul send his regards to you”, Yoona said.

“Send my regards to him too. Okay, sweetie, I need to hang up now. I’ll see you soon, okay? Bye!”, he ended the conversation.

“Okay, dad. Bye!”, Yoona ended the call. She couldn’t help but to smile as she can’t wait to see her father again. She missed him so much. She ran lightly while climbing the stairs, headed to her little prince’s room. She slowly opened the door, but she found Yuri wasn’t there. She then closed the door back, and walked to her room. She slowly pulled the door knob, and she saw her husband was lying on his stomach while jotting something on the music sheet.

“Honey ah, what are you doing?”, Yoona asked while walking towards the bed. She sat on the edge of the bed next to Yuri. He immediately turned his head towards Yoona.

“Oh, I just adding some notes on it. So, how’s dad?”, Yuri said as he got up and sat up straight.

“He’s fine. He just got back from Switzerland. He’ll come by to our house tonight to visit us. He said he missed our little prince”, Yoona replied smilingly.

“You must be excited to see him again, don’t you?”, Yuri said as he put his arm around Yoona’s waist.

“Of course I am. It’s been a long time since the last time I met him. You know, he’s always been busy with his work since I was a little. And, he told me he will fly again to Hong Kong for his work”, Yoona smiled faintly. Yuri seemed to understand on his wife’s feeling. He kissed her temple and tighten the hug.

“It’s okay, jagiya. He have to, it’s his passion and work. Besides, you have me and Junho now. Cheer up, okay?”, Yuri said as he tried to cheer up his wife. Yoona couldn’t help but to smile over his sweet words.

“I’m glad that I have you and Junho. I love you, honey ah”, Yoona said while caressing on Yuri’s cheek.

“I love you too, Mrs. Kwon. Now, let’s go to downstairs. We need to prepare a special dishes for your dad”, Yuri replied as he immediately released his arm from Yoona’s waist.

“You wanna help me to cook? Aww.. that’s very sweet of you, Mr. Kwon!”, Yoona said as she smiled widely.

“Yes, sweetheart. I wanna look good in front of my father in-law too, you know”, Yuri said which earns a laughter from his wife.

“Silly. Alright, let’s go”, she said as she pulled Yuri’s hand to get up from the bed. Both of them then walked out of the room, heading to the kitchen.

Later on that night

“DING! DONG!”

“That must be him”, Yoona said as she immediately walked towards the door. Yuri was playing with their son at the living room.

“Hey, princess!”, Mr. Im greeted his daughter soon after the door opened.

“Daddyyy... oh, god! I miss you!”, Yoona said excitedly and dashed forward to hug her father. Mr. Im returned the hug and kissed her cheek.

“I miss you too, sweetie”, he said smilingly. He then released the hug, and took a big square thing that has been wrapped nicely and carried it in front of the door.

“Happy second anniversary, sweetie. Here, these are my gifts to both of you. Opss, no, three of you, hehehe..”, Mr. Im chuckled.

“Thank you so much, daddy. Wow, what’s this?”, she asked while staring at the gifts.

“Jagiya, why don’t you let daddy to get inside first”, Yuri said which made them startled with his sudden appearance.

“Oh, dear! Sorry daddy, let’s get inside”, Yoona said. She then took baby Junho from Yuri’s arms.

“Gugugu...”, baby Junho said while pointing at the gifts.

“Hey, Yul! How are you doing, son? Omo! My handsome grandson has grown up!”, Mr. Im said excitedly. He then took baby Junho from Yoona’s arms, and kissed his puffy cheek repeatedly.

“Geeeeee...”, the little boy exclaimed excitedly while clapping his tiny hands. The three of them laughed on his cute action.

“I’m good, dad. Come, let’s get inside”, Yuri said while carrying the gifts. All of them then entered inside the house, heading to the living room. Yoona then walked towards the kitchen.

“Daddy, honey, dinner is ready!”, she shouted from the kitchen.

“Come dad, let’s have a dinner first”, Yuri said to his father in-law.

“Alright, baby. Let’s eat first!”, Mr. Im said as he got up from the couch with baby Junho in his arms. Ever since he came, he was so fond with his grandson.

“Geeeeeee...”, the little boy shouted excitedly. Yuri then led him to the kitchen.

“Alright, baby. You sit here with mommy”, Yoona said as she took baby Junho from his father’s arm, and put him to sit on the baby chair in between her and Mr. Im. Yuri helped her to serve the food for his father in-law. They started to eat their dinner.

“Mmm.. this is good!”, Mr. Im said while munching his food.

“Guuuuuu....”, baby Junho mocking his grandfather which makes them laughing their head off.

“Aigooo.. you know how to entertain your haraboji, huh?”, Mr. Im said while patting gently on the little boy’s head.

“Eat more, okay? Your son in-law helped me to cook all the dishes for you”, Yoona replied smilingly while glancing at her husband. Yuri winked at her while munching his food.

“Jinja? Wow, you’re getting good day by day, son!”, Mr. Im praised his son in-law.

“Hehe.. thanks, dad!”, Yuri giggled. The three of them continued eating their dinner while catching up with each other.

After they finished eating their dinner, Yoona insisted his father to have his sleepover at their house on that night.

“They’re sleeping already?”, Yoona asked Yuri before she joining him on the bed.

“Yup, yup. Your son seemed so excited to play with his haraboji until he refused to sleep by himself”, Yuri replied while giggling.

“Yeah, he can be cheeky sometimes. I’m glad daddy could spend his time with his grandson”, Yoona said while patting the pillow. She lie down beside Yuri who was busy staring at the gifts which his father in-law gave to them for their second wedding anniversary.  It’s a big framed of their wedding photo and his grandson’s newborn photo which have been taken by Mr. Im himself. Yoona yawned while rubbing her eyes.

“Sleepy already?”, Yuri asked while looking at his wife.

“Yeah”, Yoona replied as she snuggled closer to Yuri.

“Alright, sleep well, jagiya. I love you”, Yuri said as he gave a peck on Yoona’s forehead, and wrapped his arms around her.

“I love you too, honey ah. Goodnight!”, she replied before she dozed off. Yuri still awake. He keep on staring at their wedding photo, and he slowly smiled. He still couldn’t believe that the girl whom he met two years ago during rain was now lying beside him. He keep on smiling while reminiscing their first meeting before he dozed off.
