"OPEN THE DOOR ~~~AH!"

"YAH! I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY!"

"OPEN UP!"

I rubbed my sleepy tired eyes,

"~~~~~ DO YOU WANNA DIE? OPEN UP NOW!"

I flinched at the loud voice,*Shut up you damn woman. I'm trying to sleep.*

"~~~~! IF YOU DON'T OPEN THIS DOOR IN 5 SECONDS I'M GETTING THE SPARE KEYS!"

*o_o 5 seconds?!*

I stood up and started panicking. My eyes wandered over to ~~~, who was still asleep. I figured that if that woman's yelling didn't wake her up, nothing would.

I looked around the room for places to hide. I opened the door nearest to me, only to find that it was a bathroom,

"Bathroom? No...she might go in here."

I looked at the only other door left. I ran over to it, opened it, and searched for a light switch. When I found one, I flicked it on.

"Holy crap..." I stood there staring, which was probably stupid since I was supposed to be rushing, at a room about as big as the bedroom filled with clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, and more. I ran my hand over the revolving showcase of dresses.

"~~~~~~ I'M COMING IN!"

My eyes widened as I closed the door and shut out the lights. The closet turned pitch black as I leaned on the door.

"~~~~~~! WHY ARE YOU STILL IN BED HUH? IT'S 1 ALREADY! WAKE UP!"

I got curious and opened the door a tiny bit, so I could see what was going on. ~~~ was still fast asleep. *Damn...that girl got skills...*

She opened her eyes and yawned, "Oh...what do you want?"

"WHAT DO I WANT? I just came back from Japan, and what do I hear? That my daughter skipped out on her meeting with THE MR.NAM's one and only son!"

*That woman's her mom?! No wonder she's so messed up...*

She sat up, "So?"

Her mom laughed bitterly, "SO?! Is that all you're going to say? What kind of daughter did I raise huh?"

She stared at her mom with a bored expression. "You tell me mommy."

"YAH! Watch your mouth! Ever since that little boyfriend of yours died you've bee-"

"Don't talk about it!" She hissed.

"All I ever asked was for you to meet Mr. Nam's son. Is that too much to ask? It's about time you got over...what was his name again? Eh, it's not like it's important. He was a low-class, uneducated little...THING."

~~~ clenched her fists.

"He only liked you because of your mone-"

She grabbed her mom by the collar of her black suit, "AND DAD ONLY LIKED YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR MONEY! That's why he left! So don't you dare talk about Hyunsoo!"

Her mom slapped her.

*S-she just s-slapped...*

~~~~~~ fell back down on her bed, shocked.

"Watch your mouth. I'm still your mother, and I expect you to be at the masqurade ball tonight at 7. Dress nicely and be polite. You're meeting Mr. Nam's son whether you like it or not." She walked out of the room and shut the door with a bang.

~~~~ ran a hand over her cheek.

She covered her face and leaned against the head of the bed. After a moment, she dropped her hands, and looked at the couch, "Where'd he go?

I poked my head through the closet door, "Uh, hey."

Her head spun my way, "Oh, you're still here."

I slowly walked over to her bed.

"You okay?" I asked as I sat down.

She stared at me, "Do I look okay?"

*That was probably a stupid question -___-.*

"No...I just thought, I mean usually, I, uh, never mind."

She looked up at me, "Were you hiding in the closet the whole time?"

I nodded.

"Did you hear anything?"

I rubbed the back of my neck, "Everything."

She gave me a hard stare, and then shifted her gaze to the shining afternoon sun.

"Yah, can I ask for a favor?"

"What?"

"There's a masquerade ball tonight. Come with me."

My jaw dropped, "You want ME to come with YOU?"

"Isn't that what I just said?"

My eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

She rolled her eyes, "I'm not about to get set up with some rich guy's son. And I wanna piss my mom off, so..."

"So, you're using me?"

She nodded, "Yeah, pretty much."

"What do I get out of it?"

"What do you want?"

"Let's just say that you owe me one."

She nodded, "Sounds fair. So, get up."

She stood up and walked towards the bathroom, "Do you own a tux?"

I shook my head, "No."

"Figures. Looks like we'll have to go shopping."

"Shopping?"

"Shopping, we can't have you look like a poor person at a high class ball now can we?" She then shut the door to the bathroom.

I stood there and looked myself up and down, "High class ball?"
