Chapter 6

 

 

It was beautiful Tuesday morning. Jessica was in the front of the big mirror in her room. She was checking herself if she’s looks okay or not. She sighed and fixed her blazer. Yes, she’s wearing office attire. Jessica seems so anxious and hoping that everything will be okay before the day ends.

 

 

 

Looking at herself in the mirror, someone’s entered her room and stood against the door. The lady smirked as she’s plan to scare her friend.

 

 

 

 

 

“HI JESSI!”

 

 

 

 

 

“EEEKKKK! YA! YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME FANY-AH!” Jessica startled and screamed at Tiffany

 

 

 

 

 

“Hahaha. It’s a miracle that you woke up so early today. What’s with that getup? Daddy Jung called you again huh?” Tiffany said raising her eyebrow

 

 

 

 

 

“Well *SIGH*. He ordered me to be his representative.” Jessica sighed and sat on the edge of her bed

 

 

 

 

 

“Ordered? Not requested? ” Tiffany stated and crossed her arms

 

 

 

 

“Yes. It’s an order and I can’t do anything but to obey. Why dad became so greedy now? He’s not like that before. I felt that I’m caged in”  Jessica looked down on the floor

 

 

 

 

Tiffany sighed and sat beside her best friend.  She cupped Jessica’s face and smiled cheering her up.

 

 

 

 

“Don’t worry Jess everything will be alright. So cheer-up and smile. I, your mom, and others are here for you.”

 

 

 

 

 

“Thank you very much Tiff” Jessica smiled a little

 

 

 

 

‘I hope that everything will be totally alright’ Jessica thought

“I’ll send you the report about the project later after I meet the new business partner.”

 

 

 

 

 

Yul is in his office talking to his father on the phone.  He rested his back to the chair and put his feet up on the table.

 

 

 

 

“Yes. I think he’s gonna be here any moment. Okay. Bye” He said as he looks at his wrist watch. He hung up the phone

 

 

 

 

Yul started to work again. He held his pen and started to read the papers on his table.  Suddenly he heard his secretary from the intercom.

 

 

 

 

“Excuse me sir.”

 

 

 

“Hmm?”

 

 

 

 

Yul continued his work

 

 

 

 

“Sir. The chairman of the Jung Industries can’t come today.” Hara said

 

 

 

 

‘So everything is canceled then. How about the contract? Canceled also?’ Yul thought

 

 

 

 

Yul put his pen down and talked to Hara

 

 

 

“Is the meeting canceled?”

 

 

 

“Uhm Sir. He sends someone here to become his representative.”   Hara stated

 

 

 

 

‘Oh’

 

 

 

 

“The representative may come in”

 

 

 

 

 

Hara opened the door and guide the visitor inside. Yul stood up when he saw the unexpected visitor.

 

 

 

 

 

“Good morning Mr. Kwon, I’m Jessica Jung from Jung Industries.”  The visitor bowed at him

 

 

 

 

“You?”

“Bored”

 

 

 

Taeng was also inside of his office.  His papers are already done and there’s nothing to do already.  Taeng started to play with his office chair. He turned himself around like a kid. He finds it entertaining.

 

 

 

 

“Puhaha! This is fun! Why did I discover this just now?”

 

 

 

 

 

Taeng stops when his stomach started complaining. He’s already hungry.

 

 

 

 

“11 am” he looked at his wristwatch

 

 

 

 

“What should I do now? I’m hungry plus I’m also bored …………….AHA!”

 

 

 

Taeng get his phone and dialed someone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Tiffany was on the kitchen baking cupcakes. She held the icing bag and starts to design her cupcakes. She slowly puts an icing on the top when her phone rang suddenly she startled.

 

 

 

 

 

*KRING**KRING*

 

 

 

 

“WAAA! F*** ASDFGHJKL!”  She screamed from the top of her lungs
