Chapter 15

 

Tiffany was watching her Jessica from the slightly ajared door of her bedroom. She was also crying for Jessica who was really down and became more down when Yul told her to stay away from him. Yul’s words really break her heart. It’s not a rejection but it’s like Yul wanted her to vanish entirely.

 

Tiffany closed the door and walks to the couch where Taeng was seated and zoning out.

 

“I really can’t believe that this is happening. I really can’t believe that Yul is actually the Yul that Jessica was longing for so long.” Taeng mumbled

 

 

Yes. Taeng finally knows the truth. Tiffany was the one who told Taeng what’s going on when Taeng saw Jessica breaks down and keep mumbling her  ‘sorry’ for Yul earlier back in the hotel.

 

 

“Do you think Yul remembers everything now, Taetae?” She asked softly while caressing her boyfriend’s hand

 

“I don’t have any idea Fany-ah. But I think those two needs our help” Taeng said

 

 

“but how? When will their story going to be happy? How can they be happy when jessi’s guilt is always striking her and on the other hand Yul turned into another person and already forget about their love? Taeng, it’s been ten years already. It’s too much.” Tiffany asked but the latter slightly shook his head

 

“Fany ah. Yes, ten years is too much but I think they don’t need to rush or force themselves to be happy. They need to wait and follow their faith. Trust me Fany ah, there’s no fairytale that always having a sad ending. I’m sure they are going to be in a fairytale that they wanted to be in since ten years ago.”  Taeng stated while holding his girlfriend’s hand. 

 

 

Flashback

 

 

“Princess, can we talk please?”

 

 

“Sica, please”

 

 

Jessica was in her desk packing her stuffs and putting those in her bag. She was ignoring Yul but he was still determined to win her heart back. Yul grabbed Jessica’s hand but the latter pulled her hand away.

 

 

“Jessica, don’t ignore me. Please talk to me and explain everything. I’m hurting. It hurts so much and it’s like stabbing me over and over again. Don’t make a dumb here and clueless. If I do something wrong, I’m sorry. We can work this out and start over again. Please don’t leave me.” He stated watching Jessica as she continues packing her stuffs.

 

 

“Go away, Yul” She finally said

 

“Sica, don’t be like this. Don’t do this to me” He said as he put his hand on her shoulder and made him face him. Yul’s eyes started to get teary at that moment.

 

 

Jessica braves herself out and made some hurting words up to make Yul let her go. Even though it hurts, she really needs to do it because she was scared at her father.

 

 

“Okay, fine! I don’t love you anymore. I fell out of love. You’re too boring. And your music? Do you know that it’s so disgusting? I’m just resisting myself to hear those things of yours. I’m just using you to be popular here in our school. Everyone knows me as the ‘girlfriend of leader of the student council and the brainy kid named Kwon Yul’.  At first, it was so nice to hear that but now it’s . I already explained everything now. Happy?.... now leave me alone!” Jessica yelled at him

 

 

“Jessica I know you! You’re not like this! Stop pretending! What’s going on with you!?”  Yul hugged him tightly.

 

 

But

 

“STAY AWAY! DON’T COME NEAR ME! STAY AWAY FROM ME!”

 

PAK!

 

Jessica pushed him and slapped him directly on his face which made them shocked especially Jessica who’s palm was still aching from what she have done. 

 

 

“W-Why J-Jessica?” Yul forced himself to asked her with his voice that was already shaking

 

 

“Y-Yul….”

 

 Jessica put her hands on and started crying and for the first time she saw tears coming down from Yul’s eyes.

 

 

Jessica looked away and ran out from the classroom.

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica was in her bedroom packing her clothes to her luggage. After what she has done to Yul, she didn’t think that she still have a face to show up on him again. Suddenly, she heard someone talk from the door. Its her father

 

“Oh Jessica. What’s with those tears?”

 

 

“Go away”

 

 

 

“tsk tsk. You shouldn’t answer your father like that, Jessica Jung Sooyeon” Mr. Jung shook his head smirking

 

 

“I don’t care” She answered coldly but Mr. Jung just ignore her cold shoulders

 

 

“What’s the news, young lady? Did you already break up with him?” He asked smiling

 

 

Jessica stops what she was doing and burst up her anger.

 

 

“YES! I ALREADY BROKE UP WITH HIM! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?” She yelled at her father while crying

 

 

“Ohoho. So you finally did it” Mr. Jung laughed sarcastically

 

 

“Now, don’t break your words. Don’t do anything that will harm or hurt him. Just don’t use your power on him” She said looking down

 

Mr. Jung smiled looking at his daughter.

 

“Don’t worry. I have one word. Just come with me in Korea and marry Ok Taecyeon and everything will be alright.”

 

The middle again mad turned and walks towards the bedroom door and held the knob. He looked back again and looked at his daughter

 

 

“thank you for your great news. Finally, my company is going back again in my hands.” He stated and went out the room.

 

 

Jessica sat down on the floor hugging her knees and continued to cry. Her mother went inside of her room and immediately walks to approach her daughter. She really felt pity to her one and only daughter. And because she’s a mother, it hurts a lot too seeing her daughter hurting.

 

She sat down on the floor too and cupped her daughters face

 

“W-Why is he so cruel? I didn’t do anything on him. W-Why is he acting like a beast?” Jessica asked her mother

 

 

“I’m sorry, my dear. I’m sorry because I can’t make your father stop”  Mrs. Jung said

 

 

“He’s not being a father to me. He’s just using me for his own sake. I can’t believe that he even threaten me that he’s going to hurt the person that I cherish.” She looked down and still crying

 

 

“Hush Sica. I’m sure your father will be enlightened one day. You just need to be strong, okay?” Mrs. Jung cupped her face again and looked directly on her eyes

 

“ I can’t, mom.”

 

 

“I know you can. I’m your mother, remember?”

 

Mrs. Jung smiled at her

 

 

“Yeah, my mom always know best. Thank you mom. I love you” Jessica hugged her mother tightly

 

 

“I love you too, dear” Mrs. Jung hugged her back.

 

 

 

End of Flashback

 

 

“Tiff, I think I’m paying everything of what I’ve had done before. This is karma. It’s already bouncing back at me” Jessica whispered while staring at the photo of her and Yul in her hand.

 

Tiffany put her hand in Jessica’s chin and made her looked up.

 

“Jessi. Don’t think like that. You are just—“

 

Jessica cut her words

 

“just what? I just misunderstood what Yul act earlier?” She said looking at Tiffany

 

“Jessi.. please”

 

Jessica laughed a little

 

“…. Fany ah, I already realized that everything what  he do are all connected on me. I changed every single little thing on him. I made him turn 360 degrees. I made him hate everything… and maybe also me”

 

Tiffany cupped her face

 

“But Jessi. You can’t always blame yourself. Stop it please. He’s traumatized because of the accident that’s why he’s showing that opposite side of him. It’s possible that a person can change because of it. He even has amnesia, remember?”

 

Jessica shook her head.

 

“What if he’s not caught by that accident and what if he doesn’t have amnesia? Do you think he will be showing the same him?....” She breaths deeply and glanced the photo in her hand before putting it back to the side table next to her bed and stood up facing her friend.

 

“….Fany ah. I’m really tired of this sh*t. I already had enough. I’m surrendering. I and Yul are not for each other. We are not meant to be.  We can’t be in a fairytale like we wanted to since ten years ago. I’m letting him go. My Seobang is already in heaven and this Kwon Yul that we are seeing, he’s just another person. He’s only my business partner.”

 

Jessica took a final glance on the photo on the table and picked it up again then she went out the room. Tiffany stood up on from the bed and look at Jessica curiously.

 

“Jess. What are you planning?” She asked as she followed Jessica going to the kitchen. Taeng who was waiting outside the room feels something different. He immediately followed the girls to the kitchen.

 

“What’s going on, girls?” Taeng question them but got ignored

 

Jessica opened the stove and held the photo up.

 

 

“Jessi. What are you planning to do?!” Tiffany asked her again and finally the latter answered

 

 

“I will burn this to ashes. This is useless anymore.” Jessica stated and she put the photo closer to the flame.

 

 

“JESSICA!” Tiffany and Taeng ran through Jessica and stopped her to do it. They were holding the latter tightly.

 

“LET ME GO! LET ME GO!” Jessica screamed as she was letting out herself from the Taeny’s grasp.

 

“Jessica don’t do this! This is not the best way to cope your feelings! Your making yourself change too like what happened to Yul! Don’t you think your Seobang is happy for what you are doing? Why are you always keeping the negative side?! Why you are not thinking about us too?! Are we useless to you? Don’t be a crazy punk!!”

 

Tiffany exploded out too crying and Jessica sits on the floor and hugged her knees crying also. Taeng on the other side keeps quiet and also tearing up.

 

“Why you’re not thinking of us, Jessi? Don’t you realize that we love you too? You are not looking at the other people around you Jessica? You have me, taeng, your mother and also your fans that here love you always and unconditionally. We know that Yul’s love was different from us. I’m not really a prank person but why do you not love us as a return for loving Yul?” Tiffany said

 

“ If you’re giving up, why now? Why you didn’t give up when you went back to US and knew that Yul was already passed away? Yul didn’t love you because you’re acting like a paranoid Jessica Jung. He loves you because of who you are. And THIS is not you. You’re already a different Jessica Jung that we and your Seobang know. Please we want our Jessica Jung back. Kwon Seobang wants you to back and not to give up.” She continued.

 

 

“I-I’m sorry….. I’m really sorry…” Jessica said faintly

 

 

Tiffany sits down on the floor and looked at her
