Chapter 2

 

 

 

Flashback

 

 

Jessica went to the living room and saw her parents on the couch looking serious. She went to her parents and sat on the chair across them. Jessica felt that there is something going on but she didn’t know what it is.

 

 

 

“Dad, mom, is there something wrong?” She asked them

 

 

 

 

 

“Jessica. I and your mother want to tell you something. We hope that you’ll going to understand us”   Mr. Jung started

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica is already nervous because of her father’s serious tone. She kept quiet and listened to her father.

 

 

 

“Sica, our company is starting to bankrupt and we need to do something to bring it in the good state. I already submitted some proposals in South Korea to make our company safe.” Mr. Jung continued

 

 

 

 

 

“Dad I feel that you are going to tell me something more. Please tell me.” Jessica looked at her father.

 

 

 

 

 

Her mother cupped her face and looked at her in the eyes.

 

 

 

 

 

“Sica, we need to go to South Korea and stay there for good” Jessica’s mother said making her shocked

 

 

 

 

 

 

“M-mom, I-I don’t w-want to” Jessica started to cry

 

 

 

 

 

“Please understand us Sica. Please say goodbye to your friends” Her mother said

 

 

 

 

 

“I will stay here. I want to be here. I will never leave Yul”

 

 

 

 

 

“Who’s Yul?” Mr. Jung asked

 

 

 

 

“Yul is my boyfriend dad. I won’t leave him. “ She answered

 

 

 

“But you have to. We can’t already afford your schooling here. We don’t have money at all. You need to break up with him. We are going to South Korea whether you like it or not, young lady.” Mr. Jung stated

 

 

 

 

 

“No! I will not going with you!” Jessica raised her voice and went to her room

 

 

 

 

 

“Jessica!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The class is over. Jessica and Yul are walking on the street quietly .Jessica felt uneasy because of her final decision. She feel hurts inside but she have to do it because of her parents. Her parents work hard for their company and they don’t want to lose it. She tightens her grip on her bag and breathes deeply. Jessica didn’t know that Yul already noticed that there’s something wrong with her. Yul held her hand and broke the silence.

 

 

 

 

“You’re quiet since this morning Sica. Tell me what’s bothering you”  Yul asked

 

 

 

 

 

Jessica removed her hand from Yul. Suddenly she said something that Yul didn’t expected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Let’s brake up”

 

 

 

 

 

“You’re joking right?” Yul smiled and held her hand but Jessica pulled it away

 

 

 

 

“I’m not joking Yul. Let’s end this. Let’s brake up”

 

 

 

 

 

Yul put her hands on her shoulder and looked at her directly.
